Has anyone been able to get the Droid razr HD or razr maxx hd on Pageplus on kitkat with working 3g & mms?

Not that I have heard of. There is a thread on Howard forums about this very issue. After root and bootloader unlock was available, I upgraded to 4.4.2. I could not get 4.4.2 to work with the old methods. Tried writing a 4.0.4 modem into 4.4.2 and it would not work at all with the KK update. I have heard that you can flash a CM 4.4 rom after you have everything working on 4.1.2 and will still have PagePlus. I have not tried this approach yet. Others more knowledgeable than I, have not yet gotten PagePlus service with the stock 4.4.2 yet.

I've been trying everything I can think of but no luck yet. The best I was able to do is take advantage of the bootloader unlock. Downgrade to 4.1.2 stock. Flash the ics radio driver. Get page Plus working. Install twrp then flash cm11. there are several 4.4 roms made for the 3.0 jb kernel. But now even cm builds are starting to build on the new kernel+bootloader and do not work with the ics radio.
Tapatalk'n it from my XT907 (MoKee 4.4.4) on Page Plus Cellular.
And I was loving the new setup to kitkat.

There was a post over on Howard Forums by Milo1946 about the Mokee 4.4.4 rom having the ability to set NV only mode from the rom itself. It is under Mobile Network settings. I don't know anything about this rom. Has anyone tried this and if so did it work to get onto PagePlus?
Tried it, no good
Edit: to elaborate on this. The setting is on all the new cm11 builds but it seems to have the same problem as editing the setting via dfs. It'll always revert to ruim on reboot unless running the ics radio.
Thanks thewraith, I guess we are stuck on 4.1.2. I have heard that Verizon is going to allow LTE on their prepaid. There is some talk of that filtering down to PagePlus. If and when that occurs then will go back to KK.

Yeah that would be nice but I'm not holding my breath waiting for them. The jb bootloader cm11 builds work very good, the only issue I experience is the screen dimmer bug.. It'll sometimes get stuck a bit dimmer then I'd like but it's not that bad. If I ever get the time I've been considering pulling in the source myself to tinker around

Hi everyone.
I've bought my Motorola Xoom 3G 32GB from the internet and it came with the "international" firmware.
3G used to work all fine with any carrier I try until I flashed Tiamat ROM for all the advantages it supplies.
It just can't find a carrier (which is probably US Verizon).
Is there any way I can regain my 3G back?
Well its been a couple days. Has the 3g kicked in yet by itself?
I went ahead and unlocked my zoom yesterday and when it booted back up I didn't have 4g service kinda like you.
I tried finding some APN settings but the xoom wont let me edit them anyways. By the end of the night I went back to try and fix it again and I noticed it had connected again by itself.
I would try calling the carrier you prefer and get them to reset the APN. Moto might do it if you leave out the rooting part.
If its like phones it might be a case of flashing the multiCSC. Because on my old captivate the multicsc was the international unlock you described.

Well, I'm in this state for moths and still didn't regain my 3G back.
And, is there any way I can re-flash the files which determine the carrier alone?
Or alternatively, isn't there a way to manually compile Tiamat ROM with the international build files for universal support?
well you could go back to stock and that should work to get 3g-
I really like this ROM and don't want to go back to original.
That's why I'm asking for solutions '{: (

Look in the Development Section. TeamEos ICS Nightly is now available for 3G/4G...not sure if it supports international 3G yet, but they're working on it. The ICS rom, while still in alpha/beta stage (missing binaries for cameras) is stable and smooth and has tons of functionality.
Thanks okantomi!
I hope this ends my dilemma (fingers crossed).

It's the one for Stingray (the 3G/4G model).
im in 3.2 stock rom rooted with tiamat kernel oc gpu and 3g works like charm.the system is very fast and respoding good.
I recently upgraded to 4.1.2 successfully and also kept root with RootKeeper but I now have an issue that I did not have before with my 4G signal. Whenever I place a call on 4.1.2 my 4G data drops out when on all previous versions it stayed on. Also, I had the issue where my phone only had 3G active after upgrading to 4.1.2 so I went to Verizon, had them switch my SIM card and 4G came back.
Is anyone else having the issue of losing 4G data when placing calls?
Phone: Droid RAZR MAXX HD (XT926)
Carrier: Verizon Wireless
Version: 4.1.2 Rooted

Could someone please test this under the same circumstance I am in (XT926 4.1.2 Rooted) and let me know if they are having the same issue?
Just trying to decide if I want to get a replacement phone from Verizon to go back to 4.1.1 or this is an issue that is looking to be resolved. It sucks because I really enjoy 4.1.2, the phone is much snapper and responds way quicker when opening and closing apps
Thanks!

Doesn't happen to me.you sure about the 4g drop and just an icon change on the bar? Check networks in the settings menu during a call.

Thanks for your response! Any communication about what others are dealing with is helpful as it lets me understand the issue may only be on my end.
I've attached a screenshot of the "More" section under "Wireless & networks" from my phone during a phone call. As you can tell I do not have the 4G icon on my task bar and I am not able to modify the "Mobile networks" section as it is grayed out. Any idea why this may be?
I've also tried to use the Internet through a browser while on a phone call and it does not connect confirming I do not have Internet connection.

Sounds like a weird os issue.I would try a factory reset or full sbf if you want to stay stock.otherwise try safestrap and install another rom like vit.to test the results.

I've done a factory reset but have not done a full sbf yet because I do not want to lose root on my device. I truly enjoy 4.1.2 and enjoy it even more rooted so going back to a bone stock would really be disappointing. I will try to install a rom through safestrap to see if I get the same results.
If I do a full sbf, is there anyway for me to get root back on my 4.1.2 device?
Thanks again for your suggestions and responses!

I changed ROMs and I still have the issue. I ended up having Verizon send me a new phone out. Just got the new phone and everything is working right now. I am not to sure what happened with the old one but its definitely an issue only pertaining to my phone.
Could you please provide me with the steps you took to get your phone rooted on 4.1.2 so I can get back there?
The guide I used before was this: http://www.droidforums.net/forum/ra...t-hacking/237461-tool-easy-root-komplete.html
Thanks again!
Hello. I do not own the Razr Maxx HD atm but I will be getting it in a month or two depending on a few things. I had a Nexus till the screen cracked on Memorial day. Now I am back on my Moto Droid X. My question is can the Verizon Consumer edition be unlocked? I have searched Google for a hour but I keep seeing conflicting information. I know there is a tool out for all Moto devices with Snapdragon processors. But I read it does not work for the Verizon edition. If that is the case do you think it will happen in the near future? Is it being worked on? Thanks
Edit: just read that it is possible to go back a firmware verison with the Verizon Maxx HD which I believe cannot be done without an unlocked bootloader. Still would like someone to confirm though
Yes, it's possible.

I am on Verizon with a consumer version of the RAZR MAXX HD XT926. I was able to unlock the bootloader and flash a custom recovery just fine.
Just do a google search for Dan Rosenberg's bootloader unlock tool. I tried putting the link here but they won't let me post links just yet.
Hopefully soon there will be a fully stable AOSP kernel done. All the current 4.2.2 ROMS have issues with the camcorder not working. I'm currently running Carbon Official 4.2.2 and it runs great and is my new daily driver. Overclocked to 2ghz as well
I have an unlocked and rooted XT926 and have been successfully installing roms on this regularly until the 4.3 roms have come out. Each time I install a rom that is based on android 4.3, they install and work but cannot detect the SIM card. It is like the device doesn't see the card at all.The selector is always stuck at NV and switching to RUIM/SIM does not stay set.
I can install 4.1 or 4.2 based roms just fine, either from a backup or by doing a clean install and have the sim card detected and data connectivity, just not any 4.3 based ones. Can anyone suggest a cure?
Resolved
I was able to resolve this. I had originally rooted back in December from stock with motochopper. That was apparently my problem because after I re-rooted using the Razr HD Utility version 1.21 all is fine in the world now. Let the flashing begin......

So my XT926 is running the latest PacMan ROM but I am restricted to 2g data. When I unchecked the 2g only box, the phone doesn't even register. I am using the Pacman GSM rom. I am using Net10. UMTS works with the stock rom but i thing i still need to do some digging to get it to work with the AOSP rom
Does anyone know if the gsm network for the xt926 works with later builds of cm 10.2 or cm10.2 based roms?
Best regards

I was just in Spain and tried to use a Vodafone SIM card in my Verizon xt926 (CM 10.2 ROM). The phone was set on Global and it detected the SIM card, but could not find any network. Updating the APN list did not work either. Sucks, thought the xt926 had international radios.

It does. The problem is with the ROM. Stock ROM works great internationally.

Hi
I just installed KitKat using TWRP BigPart and the Omni XXXStingray ROM. It took a little bit of time to understand the process, re-install the apps and get it back up to speed. Now it is working really, really well. My questions is: How to I prevent Motorola from pushing an "software upgrade"? For the time being I want to keep it just the way it is.
Thanks for any help.
John
you don't have to do anything, there aren't any updates, there won't be any and it's not connected to motorolas servers
Great, One less thing to worry about.
When they updated to JB they just pushed it over WiFi (stingray with no sim card, but I did register with Motorola). I am not sure they even gave the option of opt'ing out. I wanted to make sure that would not happen again now that KitKat is working so well.
Thanks
John

Being as this isn't an official rom, and that KitKat is a more recent build than Jelly Bean, you're safe. Moto has discontinued official development on all Zooms, so no worries.
