Eagles v2.8 question

So I installed eagle 2.8 and everything is running really smooth! The only thing that wont work is when I tried to connect the USB to my computer. The mount USB drive option pops up. When I turn it on from my phone, the drive doesn't show up on my computer. Please help.

i know this is a simple answer but may work. try rebooting your phone/ fix permissions in CWM and connecting again?

your computer's operating system is missing the drivers for your phone .
here is the link to download and install the necessary drivers for your phone .

install the drivers and reboot your PC and then connect your phone. it will automatically install new device and you can connect your phone to the pc.

[Q] having issues with kies

My windows crashed so I had to format my PC. Now when I try to install kies, it says you need xp service pack 3 also my phone doesn't get recognized as a USB device so I'm unable to transfer stuff. How do I get my PC to recognize my phone?

Kies wont install on win xp sp2
I have two machine...1 with xp n the other as win7.even m nt able to install win xp
Try installing vista or win7.it will definately nt wrk with xp sp 2

Remember to turn on USB Debugging on your Phone. So the next time you connect you can choose the option to mount it as Disk Storage

Hmmm. When you connect USB what does it says on Phone? USB connected or MTP connected?
Did you installed the mentioned drivers?
After connecting phone check in Windows device manager if there is any 'Unknown Device' - connected.

Yeah the phone also charges and shows USB mode. And I installed the drivers also that you mentioned :/ couldn't find the unknown device either

Finally!!
okay all i did is tricked my system into thinking that i am using sp 3...there is a small tweak you have to run in regedit. i guess the problem is with sp2. now it is recognizing and kies is installing as well.

my phone doesn't want to connect to the pc..
what should I do?..
before using this fit I'm using galaxy mini and its seems very fine without using any kies..

Install Samsung Mobile Drivers in pc & restart it. Now, goto phone's settings & enable USB debugging. Then connect ur Fit via USB cable. It'll get detected.

If above method doesn't works, then goto wireless & networks>USB utilities > touch on>connect storage to PC>connect the usb data able to phone & PC> Connect to mass storage. (This also requires SAMSUNG USB DRIVES , if you're on win7 with internet, i guess drivers will be install automatically)

ON internal SD using usb cable from pc tried everything HTC SYNC MANAGER CANT connect adb pusher cant push, Mobile managers cant transfer p. s. i can transfer files using BLUETOOTH and Over WIFI...when ever i try to copy file it says CANT COPY EITHER THE DEVICE HAS STOPPED WORKING OR NOT RESPONDING... HELP PLZZ

Give more info. What ROM you use, what OS on your PC, what software and drivers and so on. Nobody can help you without minimum info

Try qtadb or Android commander software

Or a different usb port if you have a 3.0 usb...try a 2.0 usb instead. Also you might consider updating to latest HTC software/drivers if you didn't do that already. Check if it's working on another pc with the same cable...if it does, it's not the cable, it's the pc or HTC software or drivers
Just forgot...you said you're on stock ROM. That has an option specifying how phone connects to the pc via USB...it's in HTC Sync mode right?

My daughters s has been doing that same thing lately tried numerous cables n same result. Also on Windows 7 64bit. Uninstalled drivers and did not help.
Ended up using airdroid to transfer files.
Rooted and running dark jelly rom btw.

Are you still able to view the SD card VIA file explorer ?
If you can view your card from the phone then you may have a bad cable or a bent pin
Is your phone still taking a charge ? if not you may have a bad port on the phone
I would try a different cable and or switch USB ports

I had the same issue and it was due to a bent pin on my cable as mentioned above.
I was transferring files with WiFi File Explorer until I bought a new cable.

I can copy from my Mobi to Pc easily...the only thing i can't do is to copy from Pc to Mobi.....

Phone not showing up in computer.

Ive connected my S6 to the computer but it doesnt show up in My Computer. It shows that the MTP USB Device driver has failed to install. Any solutions? Ive tried everything available on the internet. Even kies and smartswitch and samsung drivers installed. Nothing seems to work at this point.

Does it work on another PC, or with a different cable?

I tried it on my laptop but it doesnt work on it either. Tried 3 different cables. Weird part is I transferred Music to my phone via the computer just yesterday and all of a sudden today it does this.

Was usb debugging turned on the last time you were using mtp? Is it turned on now?

Debugging is off. The last time I used mtp debugging wasnt enabled.

Try to turn on usb debugging from developer options. See what happens. If it fails then probably your usb connnection somehow got stuck in charge only mode. In that case you will need to force mtp through commandline. Just see what happens after you try to turn on debugging first.
Additional note: this is pretty basic stuff but still worth mentioning. What happens when you try to select usb options type from inside storage settings? Does the settings option open up? Is mtp selected over there?

How do i force mtp through commandline? Debugging isnt working either.

MTP mode is selected. Ive tried PTP mode as well. But the "MTP" drivers fail to install.

You can force mtp through command line only if you have root access. Are you rooted?
Since mtp is already selected in the connection type list, the problem is probably due to a bad driver structure. Disconnect your device from PC. Remove all the drivers and kies software from your pc. Reboot and connect phone. Try to see if the windows driver works out not. I am guessing you are on windows 7, right?

Ive tried that as well. Windows drivers also couldnt install MTP. Im not rooted. How did this even happen? I mean It was fine yesterday.

You can try these two solutions in their order and report back.
1) On your phone, go to Security -> Device administration->Device adminstrators. Check if there are any app with admin privileges, you have to deactivate them and see if MTP access works.
2) Connect your phone, swipe ur top menu down & tap USB PC connection settings, switch from MTP to PTP. Let driver's install. Now, go to the safely remove & eject media & eject your phone, when it says its safe to remove. Just switch your PTP back to MTP, see if the drivers install successfully then.

Thanks for the support. I had disabled a MTP package bymistake in packagedisablerpro. sorry for the inconvenience.
