my phone doesn't want to connect to the pc..
what should I do?..
before using this fit I'm using galaxy mini and its seems very fine without using any kies..

Install Samsung Mobile Drivers in pc & restart it. Now, goto phone's settings & enable USB debugging. Then connect ur Fit via USB cable. It'll get detected.

If above method doesn't works, then goto wireless & networks>USB utilities > touch on>connect storage to PC>connect the usb data able to phone & PC> Connect to mass storage. (This also requires SAMSUNG USB DRIVES , if you're on win7 with internet, i guess drivers will be install automatically)

Hey guys, I have a galaxy 3 with CM7 (kyrillos release) and I'm having a problem when using the phone to transfer files...
When I connect it to any PC without Kies, windows start searching for drivers, but it doesn't find anything, so the phone isn't recognized, and I can't transfer files...
In my pc, with Kies installed, I connected the phone and windows started searching for drivers and found, installed them and it's working fine...
So, what could be done to connect the phone sucessfully in other PCs without Kies?

just install kies , it contains some drivers for your sd so the pc can see the sd..otherwise you could use a card reader and connect you sd straight to your pc/laptop
or else got to this thread and download the driver directly

So I would need to carry with me a pendrive with the driver?!
yes if you don't have internet connection. All usb devices need a driver...
but when I put a pendrive, windows find the driver... but, when I put the phone, windows does not find
there are a few thousand drivers preloaded in windows to increase support out of the box for many devices, it's impossible to include every driver though
i think pendrives use a generic driver anyways
reflash the phone
install adb drivers for samsung in your pc
connect your phone to pc
u can find a small driver pack from google with only 10+m

I think there is no way to conect the phone to pc using cable without installing the drivers. But there is an app that can help you on your purpose, it's the AirDroid, you can find it in the market. With this app you just need to conect to the same wireless network as the computer you want to transfer files, and you're able to transfer files using the internet browser, and others stuff like manage contacts, messages, ringtones, apps...
My windows crashed so I had to format my PC. Now when I try to install kies, it says you need xp service pack 3 also my phone doesn't get recognized as a USB device so I'm unable to transfer stuff. How do I get my PC to recognize my phone?

Kies wont install on win xp sp2
I have two machine...1 with xp n the other as win7.even m nt able to install win xp
Try installing vista or win7.it will definately nt wrk with xp sp 2

Remember to turn on USB Debugging on your Phone. So the next time you connect you can choose the option to mount it as Disk Storage

Hmmm. When you connect USB what does it says on Phone? USB connected or MTP connected?
Did you installed the mentioned drivers?
After connecting phone check in Windows device manager if there is any 'Unknown Device' - connected.

Yeah the phone also charges and shows USB mode. And I installed the drivers also that you mentioned :/ couldn't find the unknown device either

okay all i did is tricked my system into thinking that i am using sp 3...there is a small tweak you have to run in regedit. i guess the problem is with sp2. now it is recognizing and kies is installing as well.
im using samsung galaxy wonder with cyanogenmod9 build 6. i want to know how to transfer file from pc to my phone. when i plug my phone to the pc using usb cable and set my phone to MTP mode i can detect it but when i start to copy files from my pc to my device it is not working.
i heard about the fast charge option and i think i have to disable it, but where can i find the enu to do it. please help me. thank you

Hello. I have a problem: I can't connect to PC the phone. I have a micro usb cable and when i connect it , appears that the phone is charging but no connection to PC. I have set the option to be by cable usb by menu and nothin gis happening. I hav etried even to the program Keis and doesn't see it. What is wrong? i use a cable micro usb from a Lg e900 and is the same tip and is ok becouse i use it for LG e900.
what to do? please help me

Try with "Kies Air" app, this one is for wirelles connecting via yours modem.
Have you activated an option titled "fast charge" somewhere? you can`t have that on and access your files from your pc at the same time. It happened to me once
Maybe you USB Socket is failed. I think it's hardware issue, like mine.

I know it's a noob question,but after trying several times ever after installing mtg drivers I failed to connect my a117 with my old computer as usb modem. Is there any way to connect internet via usb on Windows xp sp2,any help would be appreciated.
Don't know about xp.. It's working fine on Windows7 & 8

It will only work for windows 7+... Also mentioned in android documents...
You can try some other pc tools to do it on xp

bro these are the steps to do it..even i use it.
1. first turn on data connection in your mobile
2. then connect it to the computer using usb cable ..(remember just connect and do nothing)
3. now go to settings>More(under Data Usage)>tethering and portable hotspot>usb Tehtering
4. now you can use internet from ur phone to pc
