[Q] CyanogenMod 6.0 for Google ION

Friends,
I'm having the Google ION phone with android 1.6 version now.
I want to upgrade to CyanogenMod 6.0 with firmware 2.2, Pl. suggest step by step guide if available .
My phone data is below.
Phone Invfo: SAPHIRE PVT 32B Cev S-ON G

[Q] Should installing a custom rom fix wifi error?

Hi
My friend has a Htc desire S android 2.3.5 with sense 3.0 that cannot turn on wifi.
'error' appears when I try.
I tried lots of things including factory reset and clear caches and erase sd etc..
Nothing worked so I thought installing a custom rom would fix it for sure.
I unlocked it installed ext4 and reaper v3 which all went fine but still have the same bloody error when try to turn on wifi.
Question:
Was I wrong to think installing a custom rom would fix this error...
or should installing a custom rom fix any software errors and this means it's a hardware problem?

When you say unlocked, did you use htcdev?
If yes then you'll need to separately flash the boot.img from the custom ROM through fast boot

The Wifi "Error" thing seems to me like a kernel issue. Did you do the above an flash the boot.img from the roms through "fastboot flash boot /path/to/boot.img" ? If you didn't than you are still using the old, broken kernel.

maybe you forgot to do full wipe?

It looks like the kernel updated, which is strange as I though the "wifi error" was due to incorret kenel version...
I have the versions below which should help diagnose the problem:
Model number: HTC Desire S
Android version: 2.3.7
Baseband version: 20.4801.30.0822U_3822.10.08.04_M
Kernel version: 2.6.35.14-Reaper-V1.3-bfs+
Mod version: Reaper-V3.0.0
Build number: GWK74
I'm not sure where to go from here, any advice appriciated?

I followed the guide below and installed Reaper V3 (HTCdev then EXT4 Recovery)

Now if I want to install a Sense Rom so I have reverse tethering over USB (I don't like the App from the Market that does it)
Q1) Can I use any of the roms below?
Q2) Do I just copy to SD, boot into recovery and flash?

[Q] Custom Rom 10.6.1.8

Hi guys! I installed Android 4.2.1 on my unlocked Asus tf300t...now i have 10.6.1.8 I cand flash custom roms on this build? If not I must downgrade on Android 4.1.1...How? Please Help me

The only custom Rom for the JB 4.2 from Asus is atm NRG -if you want to flash others you have to downgrade to .20 or less (4.1 Bootloader). There's a guide from pjc21 in the general section that describes this steps way more detailed...

yeah, NRG released a 4.2.1 version of his rom, Energy, it's a rather smooth stock rom, if you wanna say with Cyanogenmod or AOKP, then you're S.O.L for now until Asus releases a kernel source.

CleanROM Inheritance 4.0 will be released tomorrow (hopefully) which will be based off JB 4.2.1 and you have the right requirements

i have a "t-mobile germany" device (i think my cid: t-mob101). currently running cm10.1 dark jb and i want to move to trickdroid 9.0
([ROM][S4][06 JAN] TrickDroid 9.1.0 | Jelly Bean | Sense UI 4+ | Fast | Smooth | HQ).
my question is what version fits my device- international or t-mobile US??
i have downloaded the rom from here TRICKDROID.ORG
but i am not sure if thats the right one..

there is only 1 version for a s4/ville device (assuming you have this).
do not take the rom for the C2 device. read the description
it doesnt matter if its based on international or branded rom. always search for your type device.
btw they need to update it there, because the latest ville rom isnt based on tmob. anymore.

does [PRE-ALPHA] Evervolv Kitkat 4.4--- also work with hboot Alpha Jelly (250/5/182) or only with Stock hboot (250/40/147)? Has anyone tested it?
