Is your query a question (Y/N)???
What is the Q&A forum created for??
What is this doing in the general forum??
Do you understand what I'm getting at??
BTW the term "Best" is subjective man..
What may be best for one maybe the nightmare for other..
And such questions can't be answered or to be more blunt shall not be answered.You should try these things for yourself and find out man..

You can't really blame them as they've put up with people who thought they were too good for the rules for so damn long. We'll ignore the fact that when you first show up in the Infuse forums, there's a forum labeled Q&A. Common sense would dictate that maybe questions should go there.
So you already showed a lack of common sense by skipping over a forum plainly labeled Q&A for all the world to see. After running blindly past that forum you ended up here in the development section. I mean yeah you really shouldn't be tossing random questions here but I could see how it could confuse you, here you see TWO CM7 threads, wow you hit the jackpot!
But once again instead of taking a minute to check those posts out, instead of using the handy dandy search tool up there ^ and instead of at least posting in one of the other CM7 related threads, you decided to say **** IT to common sense and created a brand new thread for your question.
You aren't special, the question has been asked and answered elsewhere, go forth and find the answer you seek.

I would have hoped that after 46 posts you would have some idea of where to post things, but I guess not. Ya, it was a sarcastic (yet funny) reply, brush it off and move on.
i mean cmon dude. its a question. if you connect the dots, it can easliy lead you to the Q&A... i do not see one bit of android development here... development of flaming is freaking blossoming though.
Oh but he's too good for the Q&A section... He needs a thread in the busy development section all for himself and his most important question!

our devs who left left for a better phone with better software support that isn't held back by that carrier since it can have software ported from the international version but they each may build one last rom when att drops gb, mikey is still answering in his thread and he and gtg both indicated that they may give it one last shot when the official gb drops. also entropy is still here, though he also got a gs2.

dude it's the internet, dont be so sensitive. oh and ask a mod to move this to Q&A never mind just ask it to be closed. when you get to Q&A you will se that there is a cm7 Q&A thread already there, plus closing this will stop the flaming.
what was that question again? it got lost in the flaming and belligerent defense of ignorance. a lot of us when we are newbs do something against the rules and get our peepee spanked for it. you are not unique. defending yourself sounds a bit like "hey i dont know the rules even though they are stickied in multiple forums in bold letters, why should i have to follow rules i dont know?" sorry to be a **** but this is the internet and that's how it is.

Just keep it sticky. Name it "Which is best Rom/Kernel ? Post your Queries here!" or something like that.
Kill any other threads started on this topic.
Make it a sticky.
Then lock it! EVERY kernel or firmware is the "best" for someone, if only its developer. In my opinion such questions are useless and unanswerable.
Its not a useless question if you know what you want out of said rom and dont know which one has said features.

But that's not a "what's the best ROM?" question. That's a "which firmware has the following features?" question.
Well I think a dedicated topic listing all of the popular roms and a list of features streangths and weaknesses and the differences may help start it and then everyone could ask questions after that.

Second time I've had to interfere with this thread. Consider this a warning. If I have to interfere again I will lock and start handing out infractions. Remember it is your job (as someone that wants/needs something to search using Google or XDA search. Search isn't perfect but from endless amount of post/threads it seriously lowers the amount of pages you need to read. THAT leads me to the second point not only do you NEED to search you HAVE read. As a community it is ALL our responsibility to help out when ever we can. That goes from answering questions or pointing to the right direction or as simply as hitting the report button. Thread has been cleaned.

As the title states...whats the point...of having a q/a section when clearly only a select few actually get the concept?
This isnt a flame message or trash talk, but I cant for the life of me figure out why people cant figure that out no matter how senior a member is.
I think the dev rules need to be edited where it says question should go in general, but that was posted i think before the q/a section was added.
why have both if no one will enforce the rules(not hating on the mods as im sure they are busy and such.

It appears your problem is common sense. It's a pretty rare problem to have these days. I suggest you work on becoming self absorbed and ignoring rules and procedures.

What Arnau said plus many times people don't want to look stupid on forums with as much brainpower and expertise as on the XDA forum. Some of the most brilliant people hang out here and obviously if you don't know what you're talking about, to try and bluff your way through may work on some forums, but not here.
As you visit more often, look for some of the gurus, follow their threads, Thank Them and if they help you, contribute. That might really help you get the answers you need. Good luck.
XDA is not a support site, it is a site for and about developers and development, soooo, I suggest, if you are in fact looking for support, use search here, or go elsewhere.
Meanwhile, development still occurs here at XDA.
