Do you mean 4.2 as 4.3 as far as my knowledge goes hasn't been released yet.

4.2.2 is the latest I've heard. Has there been any talk about a major Android upgrade, like 5.0? Seems since Apple is doing a major upgrade IOS7, Google/android might want to just for marketing.

Thats great. But I haven't rooted my device yet. I actually like the touchwiz goodies on ics. Ie, the screen capture button and quick apps. I'll probably wait for the ota. I use this device as a job companion, so I can't afford to deal with the bugs in those builds.

[Q] Android 4.2 Port?

Does anyone know about progress on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean ports for our beloved Nexus S? Will it be possible? I read earlier today that Google is not supporting the Nexus S anymore, so does that mean that the ROMs will be slightly buggier (lacking camera functionality, etc.)?
I'm honestly getting slightly jealous about looking at the Galaxy Nexus forum and all of the new ROMs being produced...
GAPPS is needed before any sort of porting starts.. The gapps package needed to run 4.2 is a far departure from 4.1.2. So.. It's a waiting game for a 4.2 GAPPs package.
For me at least..
Give it some time it just came out.

Draw Something fixed for GS3 Jelly Bean

For anyone interested, Zynga provided an update today to the Free version specifically to fix the US Galaxy S3 on Jelly Bean. The paid version hasn't been updated yet. I can confirm it works on the Verizon model. Now I just need another excuse for not playing.
Does anyone have JB officially yet?
Draw something didn't work on any galaxy S3 running touchwiz until today's update.
Thanks OP

I had been playing the game on mine with stock since August but it broke when I updated to the Verizon J1 4.1.1 leak. Sprint users had been complaining about the same problem with their JB official update but the game worked prior to JB.

[Q]2.3.6/4.1.2/4.2.1...Which better?

So...as title said. Please give me your opinion, which Android version you prefer,or which Dev ROM you are using now,and what is the pros of this ROM.

4.1.2 is the last official update for Nexus S, to have 4.2 also on nexus s I use cyanogenmod 10.1 (at the moment it is not stable yet). I like this because you have last android version and a good support from developers.
I prefer 4.1.2. More polished than 4.2 on the Nexus S.
i prefer 4.1.2 aokp milestone 1, 4.2.1 is just not the same
Thanks for all those reply. Will flash 4.1.2 ROM soon.

Yeah most likely. . I doubt that much will change with the TW UX. Being able to slide through screens in the phone app and In settings would be nice.. but I have a feeling that Samsung won't implement that.. (shaking fist)

Then there's this.
http://androidspin.com/2013/11/25/s...gle-play-edition-android-4-4-files-available/
Unless I'm reading this wrong, Samsung released the kitkat source coding for the Google Play S4.
Exciting news, unless you're just looking forward to 4.4 TW.

I doubt that the new TW will look much different than it does now. And I'm sure that when official 4.4 makes its way to our device it'll be ruined in some way by Samsung. There are a lot of things I like about TW but pure AOSP KitKat is going to win every time

Think so? That doesn't mean anything. International always gets first. Its up to whenever att gets done raping it. So don't get excited.

There's still some things broken in CM 10.2 and the other 4.4 ROMs that are being worked on, which is why I still use 4.3 at the moment. Source coding should make it easy to fix those issues, and fully functional ROMs should come from it.
But I could be wrong, that's just my experience from other phones and other android versions. And what Samsung released today may not even be the same kind of source coding that I'm thinking of.

Do you think the S4 GPE update will work on the us versions of the S4, or are we going to have to wait until mid 2014...

When the 4.4 GPE update hits, it'll be easily converted to work on all carrier S4's based off the Snapdragon 600. The international version, however, is a completely different story.

The phones not even 1 year old of course it will get 4.4. I mean the s3 jusy got 4.3. You really think the s4 is eol

No, that OTA is for the Google Play Edition S4. Not the i337 or any other i337X phone.
But if you have a recovery installed on your i337X, then you can install a ported version of this OTA.
I doubt i337X will see KitKat OTA official for 3-4 more months.

Yes, the reason why I posted this was for your mentioned reason, custom recovery installs. I wasn't referring to any 4.4 based TW OTAs from the carriers.
