alright so i had one of my friends who has the vibrant on tmobile help me root and install darkys rom on my phone. since i had no idea i just let him do it since he has it on his phone. we rooted it use the onesuperclick. we took off the bloatwear and then put the rom on the sd card loaded it up in recovery and did the recovery then installed it. my phone hard bricked. nothing comes up or no download mood nothing even when pluged. but no worries i just send it to tmobile. but i wanna know if anyone can give me a guide to do this step by step so it dosent happen again when i get my phone back. thanks
The vibrant roms do not work on the 4g....until they are ported to 4g with the proper mods made to the rom they will cause a brick everytime

1. no matter how much it looks like it, the s4g isn't a vibrant. there are as of yet no custom roms available.
2. people like you and your friend are the reason carriers and manufacturers are going towards more restrictive ability to root and signed/encrypted bootloaders
theirs no roms for the 4g?

nice post for someone with 4 posts total.... reported.
Really though, when carriers stop insuring phones, this will be the reason why....
i had the same hard brick problem as above but for me it was weird. all i wanted at the time was to get rid of the bloat where and i did after which i unrooted and the phone worked fine. the weird thing is later i went in to download mode by accident and before i could do anything the phone was bricked. tmobile replaced My phone but if this has happened to anyone else please reply

You didn't bother to look through them that's why. I can guarantee you that those results give 140% clear answers if you did bother to. Do your part and the forums will do it's part.

it doesn't cause any harm but you should match your firmware that contains Hboot with the rom you want to flash...and you should consider your firmware before flashing a rom

Theoreticaly yes. Just make sure firmwares and radio match as they are not included in a nandroid backup. So if you try restoring an ICS nandroid backup on a phone that still has an older hboot you will probably run into bootloops. But I have done nandroid restores and backups interchangeable between my wife's Sensation and mine.

My advice is to read the sticky threads in the Dev section. Or go to Mike's Android Revolution HD thread. In his 1st or 2nd post he has links pointing to how to upgrade firmware to enjoy his latest ICS Rom. Just get a full handle on all steps involved, and what you might need to do if something goes wrong. its a lot of reading, but pays off in the end.

Hi!
I need to use my sgs2 i727 outside us and called AT&T for unlock code and they provided me but it didn't work. I call them back, told them again the EMEi and they provided the same code..which as I told doesn't work.
Can somebody, please, give me a solution.
Thanks
There's all kinds of information on how to do it if you search the threads

+1
op's question to vague
are you on stock
exactly whats steps did you take in entering the code
answer could be in the 1stop sticky in the guide/info section
AT&A are bunch of asses when it comes to unlock codes , they will come up with million excuses not to unlock your device...
Search for 3rd party companies online who can sell you the unlock code for your IMEI,it can cost you 10-30$ but well worth it of you really need your device outside of at&t.
Is your device rooted? If so u will need to return to stock firmware for it to work hope u get it going

Thanks for all the answers!
I resolved the problem with buying a new code from ebay and there they gave me instructions how to type it.

A safe way to root 15.3.A.0.26
Bin4ry wrote the exploit code (getroot.c) which was edited by CUBE and it's based off Snow_Basinger's post/work (Link) and thanks to a friend who helped me sort this out.
Download
Just extract the files and run runme_win.bat. Don't forget to enable usb debugging

Credits to Bin4nary, Based on Snow_Basinger (Link) and a friend of mine. CUBE did not write the original exploit.

Yeah I know, I've seen it. It's just "happy to help you guys" sounds as if he made the the exploit or whatever. I respect the fact that he gave credits, it just doesn't sound write "happy to help you guys" it almost sounds like he's saying it's his work. But either way it's a good thing he made a thread about this.

With all respect but have you thought that it just sounds like that to you ? For me it sounds like a guy who made a thread about root that many users out there were waiting for and in no way he did try to take credit for the root.
