You didn't bother to look through them that's why. I can guarantee you that those results give 140% clear answers if you did bother to. Do your part and the forums will do it's part.

it doesn't cause any harm but you should match your firmware that contains Hboot with the rom you want to flash...and you should consider your firmware before flashing a rom

Theoreticaly yes. Just make sure firmwares and radio match as they are not included in a nandroid backup. So if you try restoring an ICS nandroid backup on a phone that still has an older hboot you will probably run into bootloops. But I have done nandroid restores and backups interchangeable between my wife's Sensation and mine.

My advice is to read the sticky threads in the Dev section. Or go to Mike's Android Revolution HD thread. In his 1st or 2nd post he has links pointing to how to upgrade firmware to enjoy his latest ICS Rom. Just get a full handle on all steps involved, and what you might need to do if something goes wrong. its a lot of reading, but pays off in the end.

alright so i had one of my friends who has the vibrant on tmobile help me root and install darkys rom on my phone. since i had no idea i just let him do it since he has it on his phone. we rooted it use the onesuperclick. we took off the bloatwear and then put the rom on the sd card loaded it up in recovery and did the recovery then installed it. my phone hard bricked. nothing comes up or no download mood nothing even when pluged. but no worries i just send it to tmobile. but i wanna know if anyone can give me a guide to do this step by step so it dosent happen again when i get my phone back. thanks
The vibrant roms do not work on the 4g....until they are ported to 4g with the proper mods made to the rom they will cause a brick everytime

1. no matter how much it looks like it, the s4g isn't a vibrant. there are as of yet no custom roms available.
2. people like you and your friend are the reason carriers and manufacturers are going towards more restrictive ability to root and signed/encrypted bootloaders
theirs no roms for the 4g?

Hey Guys, I have the Samsung Galaxy S 4G updated to 2.3.3. My phone will randomly during each and every call I have reboot. This is annoying as hell. I've Searched around the Forums and noticed that people have said to remove your SD Card for 24 Hours. I've done this yet the problem still is here.
Will upgrading my Modem/Baseband to something like KI3 fix my problem? Thanks.
the 2.3.3 leaks are crap. Go 2.3.5.

Yeah but all I've seen is all these Custom Rooted Roms and such. I'm stupid with those CWM and Rooting and such like that. I just want the 2.3.5 Stock. I don't want help with trying to get those Custom ROM's even though I do want them.
There is no stock official release if that is what you mean but you can Odin a leaked rom. Their stock.

Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using Tapatalk 2
You will need to flash stock radio uckk1 first. Then use the Odin to restore to stock uckk1. Then update to latest 2.3.6.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using Tapatalk 2
I think there is at least 10 threads already that deals with this. Look in stickies in the dev section at a thread called all things ics and return to stock by Konane and you will find more than enough info to do what you are wanting to do and the software is there for download. Research takes time but pays off in the end...

By knowing at least the basics and simple stuff. I'm not a root user but one I've seen on this forum a couple times is people having bricked their phones trying to install something made for the regular S2 on the Skyrocket. So as long as you're not an idiot you should be okay.

Kind of sad that that needs to be said...I777 and I727 are NOT cross-compatible.
Sent from my SGH-I727 using xda app-developers app
Exactly research is the key if you really dont know what the hell your doing then dont do it as for help if need be youtube! google other device that are similar and see how things are flashed **this doesnt mean to flash those files but simply to understand how its done if your a visual person** XDA is all about being self sufficient however there are people who were or still are NOOBS lol but at least have been in your boat to understand if you need a helping hand and are willing to help you
The 100% sure way not to brick is do not mess with things you know little to nothing about. No flash = no brick. If your gonna flash anything read read and read some more. Google knows all and is your best friend. Search and research. I'm a computer programmer and networker and still didn't feel comfortable flashing my phone until I did extensive research. About a week of reading and compiling as much info as possible....
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using Tapatalk 2
These suggestions are great and all but the best piece of advice that anyone can give you is:
Make sure you do it while you are still awake, if you are sleepy when you try flashing new stuff, odds are you are going to mess it up royally.
Do it while you have lots of energy in order to make the right *educated* decisions and to be able to pay attention in great detail to what you are doing.

Hi all,
I'm really sorry to start a thread for this but I couldn't find it anywhere else. I've been having a lot of problems with my Skyrocket and am considering sending it in for warranty repairs if a flash to stock doesn't work. So I have the right OS from sammobile and I found the appropriate recovery tool on here. Here's the catch, neither CWM nor the stock tool will flash to the stock OS. It'll revert back to CNM 10 AND Liquid'd 4.1.2 without an issue, but I can not get the stock ROM running. Please help, I'd be so ridiculously grateful.
Check out the developer stickies by Vincom works wonders and when I FlAsH to stick I use Odin and use stock 35th with all the stuff or I use ics leaked to start off from
