Hello to you all.

Today the screen stopped working though the phone itself keeps working and getting calls, just the screen stays black.
Nothing happend to the phone, it didnt fall down or got knocked or got wet, it did worked well this morning.
I tried to charge the battery fully and change to a different battery, didnt help.
Please if someone has any idea, clue, experience what to do.
Thanks in advanced.
Gaby
P.S - hope i'm in the right forum.
- Maybe something with the Proximity sensor ??

do you see a boot logo or something? try to boot into recovery (vol-up + PWR) and if the screen still stays black, its a hardware issue.

[Q] Is my phone bricked?

I have a samsung galaxy S from T-mobile, It became unresponsive and it started for no reason.
It is a locked , never rooted no firmware or software updated ever. Just had some Apps from marketplace though no new apps recently.
this is what happened. I left it for charging and the battery was dry. i gotta a call, so disconnected a/c charging and I could not swipe answer button and the phone kinda went to freeze, then screen went black. I took the phone connected for charging and after some time tried to hit power button , it starts the flash logo and t-mobile logo screen and then to the home screen which was black except for some icons in the top toolbar.
so i started again and went on like 4 times and i gotta screen like ( i think downloading screen ) . thats it . THe phone never charged or started again, I tried 3 button combos and all the basic recovery steps for this and not worked. I have been hunting for answer last couple of days before deciding to write my own thread. I am now convinced my phone is fully bricked , what should i do now?
So you think your bricked... Well good thing is your not bricked.
The information you gave us is not very clear.
I would take a guess and I would say its the battery. Replace the battery with a new one.

[Q] Acer Cloudmobile S500 Doesn't stop vibrating

Hi there,
I bought my ACER CLOUDPHONE S500 2 months ago.
Everyting worked fine, I didn't root the phone, nor did I try to. I used the phone for a coupple of weeks until yesterday, all of a sudden it started vibrating constanly. I pulled out the battery and memory card + sim and put only the battery back in. When the battery touches the contacts it starts vibrating again. So even when the phone isn't booted yet, it just start vibrating constantly without stopping.
Pulling out the battery and plugging in only the USB charger does the same (vibrating constantly).
I tried to restore factory defeaults but that doesn't help.
The phone works normally and can be booted (so no black screen or stuff) but just vibrates the whole time.
I normaly live in Belgium, but I'm on holiday in Thailand for 3 months, so I guess returning it back to the store isn't an option now.
I guess it's a hardware problem but if anybody has a sollution, it would be very welcome!
Is there an other way to stop the vibrating?
anybody has a clue?
I posted this yesterday, does anybody know what is wrong?
I guess it's a hardware problem as the vibrations start from the second I plug in a powersource (battery and/or USB-charger)
IS there any way I can stop the vibrations or is it more like a shortcircuit on the vibration part?
It gets very anoying having a constanly vibrating phone in my pants, I guess I'll could give the phone to my GF..
Hi, I never saw that kind of issue on the cloudmobile but I guess you'll be stuck until you can send it back to service. Seems to be hardware related...
Tought it would be a hardware problem... still 2,5 months to go in Thailand before I can turn it back...
Thans anyways!
Dead pixels?
About problems in this phone..
Did anyone note dead pixel on the screen? I read about a lot of users that have this problem...

[Q] S4 Stuck on Samsung Logo

Hi Guys
Appologies if this has been asked before (I cant find) but my 2 week old S4 started playing up yesterday by constantly rebooting. It did this about 5 times whilst in touchwiz and then it would get as far as the Samsung logo with the blue glow, wait for about 10 mins and then reboot.
It now is stuck on the Galaxy S4 screen and wont do nothing.
Ive tried to get into recovery (Vol+ Home Power) and get the blue reboot top left and then nothing.
Hope somebody can help

[CRITICAL] [Q] Help with Hardbrick!

Ok, so my Samsung Galaxy Trend Plus has stopped completely operating. When you turn it on, it shows the Samsung Trend Plus logo, but before the boot animation, it gets stuck to a black screen (The screen color is black, the screen does not close). Whenever I press any of the phone's buttons, It will vibrates. It does that every 4-5 times and then theres a long vibration. The phone is rooted, but it runs for about 5 months with root. Im using an alcatel less powerfull charger to charge, due to the reason the official samsung one was broken. Yesterday, I mengled around with GravityBox (But I have GravityBox and Xposed framework since root) on the Navbar settings, and after the phone rebooted, It constantly said [SystemUI has stopped]. This had happened to me like a month ago again, but then I just reflashed the Official Rom via Odin. This time, I chose to just delete SystemUi's apk from /system/apps and then copy it back to the phone from my pc. The phone worked perfectly for a day after that, but when I went to take it out of my pocket at the evening, it was closed, even though 1 hour ago it had like 37% battery. So, I charged, and when It finished, I went to open and the Black Screen problem came out. I can't neither boot in recovery nor Download Mode

So, it seems your battery is dead, this is nothing to do with software (unless the stock rom killed it), so, buy a new one, or see if it is covered by the warranty

Yes, but when I put it in the charger, it shows the charging animation....... And then if the battery is dead, how can it power the vibrations and the screen?

I just tried a different battery, because I have a second Trend Plus, which works perfectly. It still has the same problem.

Sorry for answering a few months later, but I have to say that I had found a solution, which was the fact my Home Button wouldn't be presed in order to get in DOwnload Mode.

[Completed] Dropped Note 2, Stuck at boot screen, Works fine with different battery, Why?

Note: This is different than other "Stuck at boot screen" posts. It has a different case and I couldn't find any solution relevant to this problem.
I dropped my note 2 and battery got out of it after hitting the ground. I put the battery back in and restarted the phone, it worked fine for sometime. Then it crashed and restarted with a strange behavior. It loaded first screen showing Samsung Galaxy Note II N7100 and kept on restarting without even responding to power+home+volume up keys combination. It turns on, stays on the Samsung note II screen for a couple of seconds and restarts. Then I took out the battery and plugged in another one (I keep an extra battery with me) and phone started working. What could have possibly gone wrong with the battery when it dropped and if the battery got damaged, I guess it shouldn't even be able to turn on the phone and make it keep restarting? Has anyone experienced this case?
Hi, thank you for using XDA Assist. I don't know why you are experiencing this. What happens when you put the original battery back in? It might have just been a random error.

Just to make it clear,
Put the original battery
Turn on the phone
Shows first screen saying "Samsung Galaxy Note II N7100"
Stays on it for a couple of seconds
Restarts
Keeps repeating (Doesn't respond to Power key or Power+Home+VolumeUp key combination)
Forcefully remove the battery
Plug another battery
Turn on the phone
Works fine
