I just flashed the latest slim bean to my Vzw RAZR HD and was wondering if it was worth switching to the Xenon? What do you all think?
I miss my voice text, is their a way to get that back??
Slim Bean is a great ROM and I don't mean any disrespect. If I could figure out how to get voice text/keyboard back I will do it.
Thanks for any ideas.

I really enjoyed slim bean but after trying xenon latest I plan on using for some time. Some people including myself are having a random blue flashing screen but they are on top of it. Having my camcorder on 4.2.2 and the new halo feature is sweet!

Hey what is the best way to flash from 4.2.2 to another rom? Im not able to get Safestrap to work on 4.2.2 for some reason.
Thanks for any help man!
I use TWRP from mattlgroff utility 1.20. I think he has 1.21 out now.... Is a must have!

I like it too. Somewhat... Im on the XT926 though. But I am having a few issues. My network shows up as 3G when I know im in a 4G network area. Also my screen brightness is non adjustable, and I cant seem to flash anything else.
Do you know what is the best way to flash from a custom rom to another? Clockwork seems to not support the HD.

Most developers tell you what to use in their descriptions which is usually TWRP.

Clockwork usually works flawlessly. Did you install it correctly?

Stock. Waiting for super simplified way to go from stock to custom ROM.
I'm perfectly capable of running a couple different one click things, registering with certain websites, slicing throats of chickens, etc. to get a custom ROM onto my stock phone. I'm just happy enough with how the phone currently is that until custom ROMs are as easy to install as on other phones it's not worth the effort to me yet. And I know it'll happen eventually with the awesome devs we have around here.

It's perfect, no reason to upgrade. 2.6 uses the 1.85 base which I have had great luck with. 3.0 uses 1.88 which I had problems with in the past. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Sick Sense here. Love it.
I don't mean to flame anyone, but with all the work that goes into Recovery, Unlocking, Root, ROMs, etc.... A one-click root-me, unlock-me, install recovery, and then flash a super spiffy ROM is being incredibly demanding, lazy, and ungrateful.

Yeah, it literally can't get any easier. I don't know why you think it's difficult. Just boot into recovery and flash, and what else are you expecting?

CleanRom SE 3.0 with Mustitasking MOD!
Hi,
not sure if this has been discussed here or not,
so i have a simple and easy question. I currently use a rooted Verizon 32gb Xoom, with a 4.1.2 CM10 rom installed by Rom Manager.
I do not ever plan to use the Verizon hardware and software in the future, is there a way to completely remove the Verizon software,
so that I can kinda convert this Xoom into a wifi only model ?
Is there a problem doing this that you can think of ?
can I just flash a different modem with cwmr ?
I really despise Verizon and do not want to see the 3g signal meter in the notification panel.
i know it sounds a lil whiney, but i do want to know, what it would take to disable any verizon functionality.
thanks in advance,
Use LAIOT Linux to install Stock MZ604 ROM, then root again and blah blah blah. Else you can try installing AOSP ROM.
Both links on my signature (better saying, 7Heavens have all it and more )
"This Story Ends Where It Began"
I keep mine in airplane mode and just turn on wifi. I never see the 3G icon. I've been doing this for over six months now. I originally did this because I was afraid verizon would try to disable my Xoom. I figured if it never connected to their network that I'd be safe.

This'll work, just flash a wingray rom
Sent from my Blade using Tapatalk 2
I am on a 4G rooted xoom as well that I never use the verizon data. If I were just to install a wingray ROM instead of stingray and keeping in airplane mode, would I be able to expect a increase in battery life?
Possible battery Life increase is the only benefit I see in switching from stingray to wingray.
Well yea you will but then if you want to use wifi it'll defeat the purpose of airplane mode

I just bought a new ($200) 3g version to replace my recently damaged WiFi version. Can I flash a fully stock wingray firmware to it? Or better/safer to just flash a custom wingray ROM?
Thanks.

iii love keeping a razr around because I love that Webtop! Too bad IMHO the devs destroyed the design for the 4.04 webtop, which is really the main reason I keep a razr in my arsenal
Anybody ever tried fastbooting the ics firmware back to gingerbread? Would there be another way to get the old webtop...a custom gingerbread rom with working webtop?
Any experiences or ideas would be great! thanks fam:highfive:

Just an update. I am currently running cyanogenmod 10.1 on my aw xt908. Works like a charm. It does change the name to xt912 while cm 10, but so far everything is working great.
I have tried to flash jelly haters and solar eclipse as well, but all i get is a black screen. I have used a couple other roms successfully, but those two seem out of reach. Anyone have any pointers to get one of the two running on my phone?

I am on Appalachian and was thinking about rooting and installing Cyanogenmod on my RAZR MAXX too. Was just wondering, did you stick to the regular Cyanogenmod instructions or did you have to deviate at all because you were on Appalachian rather than Verizon. Also, did you have 4G when you installed? How did that work out?

I would first like to say I'm pretty competent in reading instructions and the "how to's"
But recently every time I flash a rom, my mms stops working either right after a flash or up to a day later.
Also the wifi and data don't seem to stay connected, they just randomly drop.
This goes for any rom I flash, any help or ideas would be awesome.

I'm not too expert on these topic but I would say it has to do with the radios, since you're having problems with data, wifi and MMS.

I did a full restore and wiped everything possible, then went through the motions again. If I stay on a 4.1.2 rom, it doesn't seem to effect it at all, but once I flash 4.2.2 or higher is when it starts happening again. I guess this is what I signed up for once I started flashing lol

Have not tried that one, have you tried CM or Liquid Smooth? Just to see if the problem depends on the rom, and not the Android version.
