**CruzerLite Bugdroid Circuit/Androidified A2 REVIEW!** - Galaxy S 4 Accessories

Ever since getting my first CruzerLite cases for the HTC Rezound a few years back, I've loved the quality of their stuff! Yeah, they're basic TPU cases, but they always have a solid, sturdy feel that's just better than the cheap cases you find on eBay and whatnot.
Back when CruzerLite first started, they seemed to just have a few basic designs and some basic argyl type TPU cases, which I had for my Rezound. They were great, though, and felt like good quality. However, the company has matured over the years and has some unique, awesome designs!
I just bought the new BugDroid Circuit case, and I love it! I also decided to pick up the Androidified A2 case, which has the big Android guy on the back. I picked this one up as well because I've got the case for my DNA, and I loved the "ribbed" sides which help for grip. Here's some shots, starting with the BugDroid Circuit Case:

the rear design is awesome
cutouts for the speaker, camera, flash, and chargeport are perfect and aligned well
cutouts for volume, headphone jack and the IR sensor are perfect
the lip around the edge makes it great for placing it face-down
Now for the Androidified Case:
cool rear design, and great cutouts
camera and flash aligned perfectly
again, the lip around the edge is high enough for laying face-down
Overall, I love both of these cases. I've loved all of their stuff, and the quality for the S4 cases is great!
The ANDROIDIFIED A2 case can be found here, in many different colors:

I suggest you check them out if you'd like a slim but great feeling case! I had a Diztronic before this, and it felt like it added some bulk to the phone. After sliding the CruzerLite cases on, I definitely noticed that it helped keep the smaller shape of the phone, all while adding some good protection!

Thanks for the write-up. I have a diztronic right now and I'm happy with it. I was wondering if the cruzerlites are thinner than my current case though. So you're saying these are thinner?

honestly yeah, the cruzerlites feel thinner than the diztronic. diztronic isn't bad, but i was just bored of the plain black matte finish.

I have my white cruzerlite case for about a month now and I'm very happy with it except that the case seems to stain easily. Let's just say the case isn't white anymore.

haha yeah, that's why i avoid clear and white cases....i love smoked!

good review case seems like and good design:good:

nah, but i want one.

Doubts
Are these 2 cases made of TPU material?
Is there any other difference between these 2 cases other than their designs?
Does one provide more more protection than the other one?

Ballistic vs Aegis

Hi,
I've been incessantly reading through this forum and am loving it. Read most of the case debates and anker vs mugen debates. I've recently got my Sensation and being a clumsy oaf have decided to case it - no matter the bulk.
From what I've read Otterbox cases have a few flaws, as does the Case mate tough series. Seidio seems to be holding people in good stead but i'm undecided about it. (yes I read the mini review and other threads)
The ballistic seems to be getting thumbs up all around (even on amazon and here)
http://www.goballisticcase.com/products/htc-sensation-4g-ballistic-shell-gel-sg-series-case
Am really leaning towards that.
The Aegis Trident seems less protective but has a cool feature that I thought was really thoughtful - the silicone flaps for each of the orifices (so to speak) to protect the openings from dust
http://www.tridentcase.com/case/htc/htc-sensation/htc-sensation-aegis-case.html
Comes in a lot of colour options too.
Would like your inputs in deciding between the two. Or possibly Seidio.
Ballistic is great, except for the weak point, hard plastic above the volume button.
It could crack when you take it off or put it on, or if you drop the phone left-top corner down...

Using the Otterbox commuter. The commuter is ALRIGHT but the flap that covers the headphone jack keeps popping out and the phone is a tad slippery. However as a whole it's a good case that is not too bulky unlike the ballistic.

I have the ballistic and love it had it for a month and it hasnt broke on me yet. It looks super nice as well lol.
Thanks guys!
It is really necessary to have those flaps? The ppl with seidio and Ballistic (sans flaps) do not seem to be complaining about the lack of it.
I don't mind bulk but I work in a school (dusty environment) and I want to protect my new possession.
So I suppose Commuter is back in the reckoning - reviews suggest issues with the headphone flap and a cheap A$$ screen protector which covers only the display area.
And I think the Aegis is out.
Just for looks value i like the TUT case as well But it has charging port issues. Have the later iterations eliminated this? Can anyone confirm?
I have all three cases Trident offers most protection just to big for me. Otterbox when new was great, then some weeks later flaps got flimsy and kept popping out. Seidio which has open ports is not only slim but feels great in the hand and offers just as much protection as the Otterbox other then it being dust proof.

+1 to ballistic, I was on the same boat as you looking for a good case, I bought the ballistic and never looked back!

Nexus 4 Bumpers Confirmed [Back in Stock US 12/11/12]

Google's own Dan Morill has confirmed that "Bumper Cases" will be offered for the Nexus 4. This is the first official accessory that we've heard of after the TouchStone charger.
Dan Morrill 1 hour ago
+Dave Ranucci We've actually got some bumpers (ring-like cases that wrap the side but not the back) coming as accessories for Nexus 4, if that's how you roll.
On the back, there is indeed a small raised ridge, which should prevent scratches if not breaks.

Keep in mind this Nexus 4 doesn't have a ridiculous steel frame. Also the back is Gorilla Glass 2.
Nice, I was hoping for this. I love OEM accessories.

God I love bumbers on my phones.
cool! I can't wait to see what they look like.. maybe multiple colors?!
As long as they don't add to much bulk around the edges I'll get one. Unless the design on the back is more ostentatious in person, in which case I'll get a case that covers it.
Possible bumper case?
Look at the purple ring like bumper case in the pictures:

I like the way its snug fit with the phone.

Is that really a bumper or is it just the lighting? If the bumper case is indeed that snug then that would be amazing.
That's definitely just lighting.

I definitively want to get a bumper because I love OEM accessories and this phone looks too good to put in a case.
I've never owned bumpers. Do they really protect devices well? As far as I can tell, they leave the front and the back of devices vulnerable to scratches and breaks. But if I'm wrong, please correct me.

They protect the sides and corners and will absorb shock (although not too well) It is a minimalist case, if you are worried about scratches you could invest in front and back screen protectors or have faith in Corning's Gorilla Glass 2.
I think the combination of a screen protector and a bumper will be enough for all but the most paranoid, Gorilla Glass is able to stand up to a lot of punishment.
Bumpers are awesome!
It doesn't add much bulk and protects the device well.

are cases worth it?

I hardly drop my phone, and no I'm not being ignorant or cocky and saying "I'll never drop my phone". So I don't know can't find any cases of my like

neo hybrid is probably one of the more stylish cases (though costs $30)

It is like you buy insurance, if you know when you will drop it, there is nothing to talk about, but $20-30 to protect your $600-700 investment I think really is worth it.
Check out the Poetic Atmosphere case, here's my review on it

It's a nice looking case and it's cheap too.
Sent from Flip's S4
I've been through two feature phones and three smart phones and I never used a case until this one. For previous phones I would at most put a skin on them. I dropped my last two phones (Palm Pre and Nexus S) from ~2 feet a few times and each time it landed on a corner. No major damage, just scuff marks. The reports across the web are that the S4 doesn't hold up too well in comparison to other phones when dropped. The screen runs right to the corner which makes me worry. That plus the phone being so much larger (and harder to hold on to) made me decide to go for a case. I went with the Spigen Neo Hybrid, and I think it's great. Doesn't add much thickness, looks great and should protect the phone.
If you're looking for something stylish, I'd recommend either Verus Oneye - http://www.zoarah.com/by-brand/verus/#ty%3Bpagination_contents%3B%2Fby-brand%2Fverus%2Fpage-2%2F
Or
Spigen Slim Armor - http://www.spigen.com/galaxy-s4-case-slim-armor.html
Or If you dont mind a big case(with better protection), a Trident Aegis - http://www.tridentcase.com/shop-products/samsung-galaxy-iv-i9505/aegis-case-samsung-galaxy-iv-i9505.aspx
Today I went shopping for alternatives while waiting for the Spigen Neo Hybrid I ordered from across the atlantic, and stumbled across Samsungs own Protective Cover +. I had no idea what I was buying, but thought it could be worth the 20 bucks. Turns out it's actually a pretty solid case, with a sturdy polycarbonate back and what looks like TPU all around the sides. It even has holes on one of the corners to fit wrist straps and such.
I'm not a big fan of the grey TPU for the white version, but other than that I'm really impressed. Despite its name it's probably no more protective than a basic TPU shell though, in particular because it doesn't add more than a millimeter height to the edge of the screen.

Maybe a slim back cover is your like, covers are form-fitting snap-on covers that protect your cell phone without adding a lot of bulk, have openings for camera, volume/ side buttons, headset, charger jack and kickstand which allows access to all phone functions.
Nope, they aren't worth it when there is need for cheap Black Market spare parts.
Not a case man either but this case made me keep the S4. lol As far as being worth it ummm yea it's a 500 + phone. Only takes one drunk night. hehe

Naked/Transparent Full Body Skin Protectors

I've noticed that there are a lot of threads for rugged cases, slim cases, vinyl skins and for people who want to use the phone naked (with Nexus Protect, hopefully ).
But how about covering the phone in a clear, transparent skin to protect the soft alluminium against scratches, while preserving the awesome look and design of the Nexus 6p?
I've found a handful of such skins:

I've got the first Skinomi you listed installed on my aluminum angler while I'm waiting for a dbrand skin to arrive. Although I've used the Skinomi screen protector before, this is my first time using the full body skin. In short, I love it. I typically carry my phone in my front pocket and so far there's been no peeling, scratches, etc... It adds a nice tackiness to the grip. I doubt it provides any drop protection though. Visually, I can't tell there's anything on the phone.
Bought xtremeguard to protect mine while i waited for my vinyl skin. The screen guard had huge cut outs for the speaker and the proximity sensors were covered. That leaves a lot of glass exposed and a black screen on calls.
The back was also poorly cut in terms of fit and finish. There's no skin provided for the visor, and the top edge of aluminum around the visor was completely omitted.
I bought that for $2 back when there was a sale code, but it was definitely not something I would keep on the long term. That being said, the visibility through the skin was quite good after you let the skin settle in about 2 days after installation.

Here you go. I could have aligned the back piece a bit better. It's a little low. I figured I'd just leave it though since I'm expecting a dbrand. Also, there is a skin over the visor as well.
Those pics look pretty darn good actually. I wouldn't mind a clear visor vinyl, but I'm rocking a matte black already.

Yeah, about the only thing they missed was a piece directly above the visor. I tried putting it in the Google Adopted case as well. It barely fit, but I hated the look, so skin only.
Just ordered a Bestskinever full body skin. We'll see if its cut out better than the other ones.
All these other brands seem to share more or less the same cuts, ommiting the strip above the visor, and not really covering "edge-to-edge". Waiting for some company to solve these issues. I'm mostly excited about Slickwrap's Naked series. It had perfect coverage on the HTC one M8

Seidio Dilex case ...

Has anyone tried the Seidio Dilex case yet? They have been my favorite for years. Thinking of ordering the blue one.
https://www.seidioonline.com/product/google-pixel-xl-dilex-case/
No I have not tried one.
Ok, Got my blue one in Saturday.
Typical Seidio high quality. But, very thick and heavy compared to other cases I've tried. It does feel like the safest case I've tried yet.
Kickstand is thin, but holds phone up very well and has magnetic closure.
The blue parts have a satiny/rubbery texture feel. (Slick yet grippy at same time)
Case goes on/off easily.
Front has a much better seal around the edge than many others. Especially compared to the UAG.
Fingerprint sensor is deep. A sloped edge would have been nice.
Buttons feel nice.
USB port is generous size. Much more so than the tiny one in the Rhinoshield.
This case feels safer than any other I've tried. Will probably swap between it and my Rhinoshield depending on plans.

I had the same one on my Nexus and 6P and the case would separate on its own sometimes on both of them. The one on my Pixel XL goes on easily, but I really have to fiddle and struggle with it to get it off. I suppose that's better overall.

I don't really care for my UAG case either. Of all my Pixel XL cases I've purchased, the RhinoShield bumper is my favorite closely followed by the Seidio Dilex. The only reason the RhinoShield wins is due to how small it is.
This is the most solidly build Seidio case I've owned and loved them all. This one just adds the most bulk.
