Which ones do you guys use/recommend. I would like one with some space so I can try different cases. The one I use doesn't allow for any cases (short of silicone one) since clearances are too tight
Thanks

I like this one from eBay for ~$10US.

It's oversized and I've tried it on my i337 with the Speck CandyShell and CandyShell Grip cases. The Grip is my current fav. I've also tried it with the Seidio Active case. They all fit fine. The Active case fits a little snug due to the kickstand, but it slides out easily enough. This case also has a rotating clip so you can position it vertically or horizontally... or in between which is where I like it.

Sorry, I don't know for sure. But I suspect it will fit fine if it meets the dimensional criteria.
Will fit cell phones up to 5.75" high X 3.0" wide x 0.75" thick per the description.
You can find a nice leather case that fits the S4 at Walmart.. made by "Fellows".

I picked this one off of ebay as well and just received it today. It's nice case and I like the feel but for me it way too big when used with the SGP Slim Armour. There was just too much play for my liking. I happened to find this one while shopping at my local Staples tonight. It fits the S4 with the Slim Armour case very nicely and still easy to get in and out. They also have a vertical case for the exact same price.

I was not too satisfied with my Kraken II that I got not so much due to its size but because I did not like the screen protector, the dust covers were not so easy for me to open(I have no fingernails), and just the overall feel of the case. I decided to order the Cyclops when I saw it was available to see if I wanted to either stay with that or to rebuy an Aegis.
The Cyclops was the easiest to install compared to the Kraken and the Aegis and the dust covers are also a lot easier to access. The buttons have a great feel to them, probably the best I have seen on a case. The power buttons are volume rocker clicks very easily. I am sure with a day of use I will adjust to it.
It has a great feel compared to the Kraken II. It is very grippy and easy to hold. It looks very similar in size but the Cyclops feels a little thinner. The screen protector is static cling unlike the one on the Kraken II. I never use screen protectors so this is a huge plus for me. It also comes with small protector that you can stick onto the back of the case to protect the camera and flash from dust.
I plan on adding more to this post. I opened the box and installed on my Charge around 10 minutes before I started typing. My initial thoughts are that if you are looking to purchase a case, the Trident Cyclops is the one to go with. I have used a cheap tpu case, the Otterbox Commuter, Incipio Double Cover and Feather, and the other 2 Trident cases and this one is going to be the one I will continue to use.
Edit: The bottoms buttons are very easy to hit. I needed to line up the silicone button covers up better.
Sorry that my pictures suck. The red case is the Kraken II and the Blue one is the Cyclops.

Verizon sold that case in store as the Double Cover. It seemed alright when I had it but when I realized it had no cutout for the hdmi port it got packed right back up and sent back. I might have had it on my phone for 10 minutes. I can't really give much more on an opinion on it other then that. It was nice and thin but the silicone seemed a lot lighter and not as durable as the Trident and Otterbox cases.
Thanks for posting info. on yet another option moondrius. I now have four cases to sell. The Otterbox Commuter, the Trident Aegis, the Trident Kraken 2, and the case I am currently using; the Casemate Barely There. The Casemate is a joke. It isn't good for anything other than scratch protection. I was hoping for better corner protection in the event of a drop.
The quest for the perfect case continues.
I actually ordered a pair of TPU cases for $3.50. If those don't work, I'm going to settle on the SILICRYLIC. I don't use the HDMI port and it seems to be a good compromise of protection vs. bulk.
How is the access to the pull down menu with the Cyclops?

It's a lot better then the Kraken. It's a little curvier at the top of the Cyclops so it's easier to pull down the notification bar.

Reporting back on getting a Seidio Surface holster and Diztronic Ultra Thin case. They work! In the past I had used a Seidio Active spring holster with my Sensation with a clear TPU case on and it has been my go to hip holster. Most recently, when I received my official bumper, I have since used the bumper and my universal type case:

Now that the Ultra Thin case by Diztronic came in and so I wanted to try if this combo with the Seidio Surface case made for the GNEX worked or not. And I was presently surprised on how well it worked together. It's not a complete fit, but it fits and feels secure enough to be my daily. Meaning that the phone doesn't seat all the way into the holster, but it's not going anywhere, I swear! You can actually push it down a bit to seat a lil more, but it's not needed. NOW the dilemma is, do I keep the bumper and use the holster combo I have created? The diztronic matte ultra thin case is sweet. I wish they made the matte the same as the tpu but both are great. The speaker is still off by a hair, but like the tpu, doesn't hamper the speaker at all.
Man o man what to do! LOL
The Diztronic case is great all around. And without the bumper, the phone looks sleek once again. This time there are cut outs rather than covering the buttons, which is great for most. I can either way really. But to reduce weight, it's fine by me.
Anyway here are the pics of my c-c-c-Combo! lol
Thanks for the post, but I'm concerned about the last pic. I've never held the holster, so I don't know if it's the same fitment with the gnex. Even with the felt lining, would the screen be susceptible to damage because the edge of the holster does not reach the edge of the screen? Also, does the spring flip to a vertical position when inserting the phone?

Here are some additional pics....
I have had the similar holster for the Sensation and have used it for a number of years. Even though I have screen protectors on everything I own, the screen never once scratched on the Sensation from using the Seidio holster. Looking at this one, it looks the same as well. I will report back if something goes wrong, but I do not foresee it being bad at all. Here are some shots that you see have space between the screen and holster. Even though you see the space there, you can press down and have the holster touch the screen. But like I said, I have a Sensation with the same type of holster and no scratches on the sp from what I can tell.
Horizontal action
Do you know if that clip would work when using the Diztronic TPU case rather than the Ultra Thin Case? Based on the gap between the soft inner case lining and the phone face, I presume that the glossy front rim of the TPU would fit, but I'm not sure about the bottom "hooks" of the clip and whether they would allow the phone and TPU case to fit in there and still lock up top.

No it won't work. I tried that when I first got the tpu case. It's the bottom part of the lip that makes it too thick for the Seidio Surface holster. You can either use the Diztronic ultra thin hard case or the rearth rienke case. The thing is that both have the bottom and top portions uncovered and that is another key to keep in mind when fitting these into the holster.

Let us know how you like it when it arrives.
I like the extra corner protection. The case system seems like something from Aliens.
I had this case on my S3 for a few days before returning it, only because I didn't like the way the belt clip attached to the outer case. It's too hard to get it clipped in when the belt piece is still on your belt and you're trying to put the phone back in it. Also, I wasn't crazy about the clip piece being close to the screen. If this had a holster like Otterbox or a Seidio case I had for the S3, that would be much better IMO. Aside from the belt clip, the case itself is a solid Otterbox competitor, assuming build quality is the same for the S4 as it was for the S3.
I like the Trident Aegis case instead- just got one for my S4 and it offers the same protection without the bulky corners. I've had the Trident Aegis cases on my S2, S3 and now S4 and I must say its probably one of my favorite lines of cases.
Using the clip became 2nd nature after 2-3 days. I liked it because you could tell if the phone was on board without doing anything. What I didn't like is the ear opening cut off half the speaker and they didn't care.

I bought one for $30.99 on ebay. I have one on my s3 as well. I love the 360 belt clip and removable kickstand. Ordered mine on 5th, will be here on today.
Now I just need the phone.
Got this yesterday. Looks like a cross between an Otterbox Defender and an Element Case design. I really like it; pretty sure I like it more than an Otterbox Defender.
Pics:
Also, I discovered that the Kraken fits in the Arkon Galaxy Note 2 armband; I'm positive an Otterbox Defender case would fit also:

One of my previous Kraken cases use to drive me crazy when I wanted to put it on its back. Does the kickstand cause the case to rock when face up? Looks flush in the pics.

If you look on the back, the top corners protrude, so the upper 2/3 of the case are in contact with a flat surface when you lay it flat. If you push down on the bottom, it will tilt, however.

but man...

No. It is poly carbonate but has a small bit of texture and some louvers on the back (for heat maybe?). If you use the case without the back on it (Perseus) then it will have more of a silicone feel. Can't really compare this case to the Seidio Active because the Kraken is a Mil Spec case. Much more stout.
If anyone is interested I did a short video review of this case: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2288370

This is a thread to share M9 cases&screen protectors based on your own real experience, it would be some help to others' to find a favorite case for their new buddy.
Now I'm using Arozell M9 case on Amazon[ http://www.amazon.com/dp/B012ODTG82 ] over 6 months and it really did the job.The look of the case is amazing. It is made of a plastic that does not feel cheap. There are two interlocking pieces, which makes it simple to remove/put on the case without much hassle. On top of that, there is a stand that folds into the back of the case, when you close it has a very pleasant "clink" when you snap it open and closed. Even though it has this fold-out stand, it does not take up any unnecessary space like a lot of cases that you can find.
Most importantly for me, the case encloses the entire phone. Many cases you will find do not have plastic that wraps around all of the edges of the phone resulting in the entire bottom portion of the phone exposed. This one does protect all of the sides and bottom, with nicely contoured openings for the speaker, headphone jack, and lightning port.

I have 4 cases. The Ringke Slim Gold case which I posted on here already, the Orzly FlexiSlim in smoke black which i really like - its ultra thin!
http://orzly.com/orzly-flexislim-case-for-htc-m9-smoke-black.html
and currently I am using this:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/MYRIANN-Ult...t=LH_DefaultDomain_0&var=&hash=item46386f94b3
It's like the Poetic Atmosphere but its a clear case - I wish it was smoke translucent.
I've been using a black Ringke Slim. Super slim, love it.
Currenly using the Spigen Slim Armor... generally speaking, I find the Spigen cases to be about as "no-frills-y" as they get, but this one does come with an added feature... gonna post a separate blog about it, but I can definitely confirm that it successfully resisted a 2'-4' drop on corners and face down.

Im using this one with the InvisibleShield HDX screen protector, both recommended by the T-Mobile rep who checked me out when I got the phone. He uses the same setup on his M9, says his phone goes through hell, but it looked pristine to me. I've already dropped mine 10+ times in the 2 days I've had it, not a scratch. The "self-healing" tempered glass InvisibleShield is great for the screen, too.
I m using dot view ice premium and generic black slim case and I am happy with them up to now. No spigen purchased 'cause i think they do some bulky cases nowadays.

Has anyone picked up the new HTC clear shield case yet? I am trying to compare it to the Spigen Ultra Hybrid as both look pretty similar.
I'm with otterbox right now, and whenever they are available, i'll pick up some junky ones on aliexress. They take a while to get here, but it's nice to have a variety without spending lots.

Switched to otterbox, had HTC dotview, but the binding started to rip so I returned it. HTC dotview is a cool concept , but is not practical if you use your phone a lot (IMO)
Went from Spigen Neo Hybrid to UAG and never looking back
Im using a Seidio dilex case with kickstand
Another vote for the Spigen Neo-Hybrid. Nice color choices for the bumper and not bulky.
My UAG arrived today and it looks and feels great. Very pleased.
Does anyone know of a belt clip holster for another phone that is a good fit for the Essential? I'm not talking about pouch style holsters but the plastic type where a spring or pressure clip at the top holds the phone in place.
The only official one for this phone is from Nagebee. Unfortunately the Nagebee case is hideous garbage and Nagebee intentionally designs the belt clip portion so it can't be used with any other case.
I tried holster clips made for the LGV30 and iPhone X which I thought were about the same size as the Essential but neither even came close to working.
I'm also aware of the universal clip holster but since it leaves 80% of the phone screen exposed when you are using the holster that one is a no go.
Can anybody suggest one that does fit well enough to use?

OK. I'll keep that in mind. I didn't realize how much width my case added to the size of the phone. As far as I can tell the iPhone X is the closest in size to the Essential. The iPhone X case I tried previously was made for a slim case so I'm going to try again with an iPhone X holster made for a bulkier case. If that doesn't work then I guess my only options are to use a slim case or learn to love a pouch style holster. Thanks for your help.
I ended up modding a belt clip made for the iPhoneX with an Otterbox case. The clip was too large but fits pretty well with a pair of small felt bumpers (made for cabinets and drawers I think) stuffed in the bottom corners. The iPhoneX clip made for a naked iPhoneX was too narrow with my bulky Incipio DualShock Case but probably works with a naked Essential or slim case because the dimensions of the two phones are pretty close. If anyone knows of a belt clip that is a better fit with my case let me know. There are other iPhoneX clips made for different cases but I don't know what would be the best fit because it seems to be impossible to get accurate dimensions. The one I'm currently using works at least but the fact that one iPhoneX clip was too small and another too big makes me think there is one in the middle that is probably a near perfect fit.
Has anyone tried this Holster with Clip? https://www.ebay.com/itm/Essential-Phone-PH-1-Shockproof-Belt-Clip-Holster-Case-Cover-Screen-Protector
Does anyone know if it will work without the screen protector?
Thanks!

I bought that from Amazon but returned it because it was hideously ugly. I think the screen protector was separate and optional.
In case anybody is interested: the PH-1 in the Poetic Karbon Shield Black Case (Carbon Fiber Texture) fits perfectly in the iPhoneX Encased Belt Clip Holster for Spigen Neo Hybrid Case.
That's a very thin case and I personally wasn't comfortable with the grip.
I also used that same belt clip with the Tudia Ceramic Feel Glost Case which I liked better. That fits in the belt clip holster but is a tiny bit too tall. Since more pressure is being placed on the spring clip than it was designed for I was concerned that the clip might eventually fail sending my phone crashing to the pavement. I ended up returning to my original configuration--the Incipio DualPro Case and slightly modded belt clip for iPhoneX with Otterbox Defender Case because that felt like a more secure combination to me. I have zero concern that the belt clip holster will fail and I prefer the grip and protection of a bulky case.
But if you use a very slim case the belt clip I used with the Karbon Shield would probably provide an excellent fit.
iPhone X Encased Belt Clip Holster for Otterbox Commuter Case turns out to be a very good fit for the PH-1 in the Incipio DualPro Case. It will probably work with other bulky style PH-1 cases as well. After a lot of trial and error, this is the best fit I've come across for my favorite PH-1 case.
