Flashed TWRP to make a backup of my stock rom, but now I can't get rid of it to get back into a stock recovery to apply a ota.zip - is there any way to remove the twrp recovery?
you need to flash the correct recovery.img with fastboot. One can be found in the Droid RAZR HD utility HERE. However, I don't know what version device you got or if there are any differences between recoveries from one version to another. so, be careful.
Code:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img

Hey guys, i got the motorola milestone xt720 a few weeks ago and i installed the dexters froyo 2.2.1 on it by reverendkjr's instructions on youtube. After a while i got bored and tried installing Cyanogenmod 7 on my phone by reverendkjr's guide on installing cyanogenmod 6.3 using open recovery. After doin this, it said "well done" and "install success" then i chose "reboot now". After that, it stuck on the M logo. Plz help! I dnt want my parents to get mad.

Have you made a wipe all user data ?
Sent from my Milestone XT720 using xda app-developers app
I guess you haven't wiped the Davlik cache, wipe it back to factory data, wipe the partition cache (guess that's the name, if I recall) . Anyway, I do not recomment 7.2 !!! Install the CM 6.3 or CronosX !
Flashing back to stock is very simple, so there is nothing to worry about .
thanks for replying

Get CronosX or CM 6.3.7 . (I recomment CronosX) .
Do i have to be in stock rom if i want to install CronosX?
Sent from my GT-P3113 using xda app-developers app
If your phone won't boot & you can't get into Open Recovery you will to flash an SBF back to stock, root your phone & install Open Recovery to be able to flash any custom ROM.
I'll check back if ur advise works, thanks

It shouldn't. I know many here (me included when I had this phone) flashed the UK & Singapore SBFs without any issues with the carrier.
Which sbf should i flash
ive read a list of SBFs for the xt720 and there's only two SBFs thats in US. Brightpoint US and Cincinatti Bell US. it could even be Videotron Canada. which one should i use??
Viedeotron!
OK i guessed and i got it right, it was videotron, i used rsd lite and flashed it!! thanks, it works again!!

It shouldn't matter. You should be able to flash any of them.
I am confused about something, I rooted, unlocked bootloader and also installed TWRP. Does anyone know if in the future I will need to mount /system in order to flash roms or kernals. Im just confused as to why the /system needs to be mounted (or USED to need mounted) on this phone. I have never had to do that on other phones.
Wrong section. This needs to be moved to Q & A
You have to mount system for safestrap roms that do not have a kernel included. You have to do this so the rom will use the stock kernel. You will not have to Mont system for roms that have a kernel like the one epinter released. Hopefully the devs can get a kernel worked up that fixes the bugs going around. Thanks for all the hard work devs!

I can't follow you on what your problem is, but if you're still speaking about the Liquid Smooth 4.4 then the latest one does in fact work on system 1 now.
Did you manage to fxz it back to stock ICS, or do you know what we mean by fxz? It's simply using RSD lite to flash your region-specific Atrix 2 sbf file for Android 4.0.4 if that's what you were on at first. Is your phone AT&T or something else? We're you on ICS kernel on system 1 or JB?

My classmate got her phone cwm 6 flashed.
About half hour ago, I asked if she could show me how cwm looks.(cuz no recovery works on my phone)
After that, her phone no longer boot normally like before (always boot into cwm)
The CWM used is found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-l/development/cwm-recovery-installer-t2589320
Any suggestions?

Is flashmode accessible?
Yes? Just flash a stock FTF
She might have accidentally formatted /system
Or just flash another kernel.. Thats the easiest way and she'll lose no data
