I have a GT P7500 running Jellybean AOKP, and a Gingerbread Alcatel onetouch 918n running on cyanogenmod...
My problem is that, on the p4 - the Open GL ES 2.0 maxes at 4fps (which sucks btw) while on the much inferior OT918n it maxes up to 26fps. The 3D graphics on the p4 scores 795 on antutu while on the OT918N the antutu score 2419.
The p4's GPU renderer is Nvidia while the OT 918n's GPU renderer is Chainfire's with the powerVR plugin..
So, is there any workaround to increase the p4's GPU rendering? I tried installing Chainfire3D once but the p4 did not boot.
I included screenshots of the benchmark scores.
thanks.

Is it possible to run THD certified games on Non- Tegra devices
in the tegra zone app,it says that those games are only optimized and meant for tegra devices, so dont think they will work on normal devices, but someone should give it a try...maybe they will work and v may have some graphical improvements for us too !(fingers crossed)...
I think it will be possible somehow. Maybe it won't run as smooth as butter but the SGX540 gpu is nearly as good as the ulp geforce gpu and if you do some overclocking to 1.4 ghz it should be able to run al those games pretty good.
it shoould be possible
Any progress on this? Did anyone try it?

Tmobile Galaxy S2 with Snapdragon (Qualcomm Adreno 220) - 54.5 fps
Galaxy S2 with Exynos (ARM Mali-400 MP)- 45.42 fps
I wonder if they test on same Android version. 2.3.4 & 2.3.5 is giant leap in performance.

It's probably a higher clocked version, guess Samsung weren't pleased with its performance at stock. Would be interesting to see what kind of battery performance it gets.
Where did that score get from? Anyway it's still early, it's just 1 result for that entry. I'm also getting 57.6fps on mine if I overclock it. but on the other hand there are huge improvements to be had on the driver side on the Adreno family so maybe Qualcomm finally got its ass on working and the new T-mobile version comes with new drivers.
Well T-Mobile Ver. is clocked at 1.5Ghz whereas S2 is 1.2Ghz, it can give a performance boost. Unless Adreno has improved the driver or something.

very interesting
Adreno 220 is always up to 260+ MHz on clock, meanwhile Mali 400 it's only at 167 MHz, but it can be overclocked to 400 MHz.
In Anandtech's Qualcomm S4 article, Adreno is like ATI's desktop cards. The shaders can be pretty fast if you can write code to fully utilize them.
Hi
Sorry for my english, i'm french.
I have install the latest CM 10.1 on my Galaxy tab 2 10.1 and i not understand why my tablet is slow "lag" in game when i play temple run 2 with max detail graphic. I have cm-10.1-blackhawk-kernel-0.2-oc-p51xx.zip kernel and my processor is OC @ 1.42 ghz and my gpu is on 2 on gpu_oc in sys/device/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq.. i don't understand but my galaxy S2 is underclocked at 800 mhz et gpu underclocked at 200 mhz and temple run 2 is fast in max.. Why ? screen resolution ? Do you know any kernel beter than mine ?
Thanks you and sorry for my english
Try stock rooted or other rom,
Use oc kernel ,
Set it to 1420,

Greetings, I'm Yank. I'm a young coder which loves to develop and play games.
Last christmas I got an Asus MemoPad HD7. It is a pretty good device for its price. Its chipset is a MTK8125, it has a Quad-core CPU running at 1.2Ghz (Cortex-A7), 1GB Ram and 8GB storage. So, I rooted it and installed the superdragonpt AOSP Rom.
Well, this last days I have been wondering if it is possible to overclock its GPU, PowerVR SGX544. I saw that overclocking Galaxy S4 GPU, PowerVR SGX544MP3, is possible so I thought that it could be possible on the SGX544 too since, the differences between them are the number of cores and its clock speed (At least what I think).
Also, I found that its clock is running at 286Mhz while it should be running at, at least 300Mhz.
So yeah, is it possible to overclock SGX544MP ?
Thanks for reading.
Oh, sorry for my mistake, I didn't knew about the MTK private kernel source thingy
Well, just came to say that ASUS released its kernel source code so yeah...
