hey everyone i have a lg venice that has a 1ghz processore, thats kinda powerful and should be able to play alot of stuff, but when i installed games onto it such as hungery shark evolution or order and chaos online it would freeze the entire for for around 6-15 sec. same with emulators such as gba or gbc. after awhile i have gotten a little used to it, it has stopped with freezing normal games but for emulators it has gotten worse. even 10 sec it would freeze making it unplayable. i have tried to get a different rom for that game even reinstalling the emulators. i think im just going to have to factory reset it. any ideas?

So i've started to really start using my tab 2 and i have started realizing that the performance leaves a lot to be desired. Specifically I'm having an issue where the screen will turn black for a second or two while playing a game. I've also noticed that some games will pause for no reason. These games include shadowgun, elemental, and tower defense. It's kind of irritating. I'll get an occasional freeze followed by a crash.
Any ideas? The processor isn't a power house but it can't be THAT bad. I can't wait to be able to overclock this thing..
I have seen this happen to my Galaxy Tab 2 (7) every once in a while. What I have noticed using the app "Watchdog" is that there is a system process (I am at work so cannot access/remember it) that every once in a while chews up 40-60% of the processors juice(Could be a TouchWiz process... i wouldn't know) ... This thing should fly once we have it rooted and once we have our devs clean it up and get some cleaner roms out
Hang in there mate... Good times are about to come

Yeah, I'm looking forward to it. I've discovered it happens during when I'm watching movies from my sd card as well. The screen goes blank, and you see the "busy" swirling circle thing that means its "busy" and then the movie comes back. It's not as irritating as the pausing during a game because the movie just continues where it left off.
Can't wait for a touchwiz free version..
Custom Roms would come a lot quicker if we had a section on here for Tab 2 7.0's Any mods out there wanna help with that?
i do have the same problem when dealing with draw something...it lags for a while at first, but it just runs smoothly after...just bear to wair for 5-10 seconds in front
i found lot of apps which has a compability issue
i guess the chipset dual core ti omap was a new chip
so it get lot of lagging freezzing and also tilt compability with the old apps games
While playing a game(it could be any demanding game) suddenly the screen stops responding to touch and neither do the capacitive buttons. After several seconds you are able to do anything and then even after you exit the game everything remains a stutter mess until you restart the phone. Does it happen with anyone? Really disappointing when it happens.
no. I played Asphalt 6 and it is ok. But I just play small games now.
It doesnt happen every time for me but "sometimes" and it never happens while playing light games like angry birds.
I only got that twice because the phone probably was out of memory. Don't play high demanding games and you are fine
Ya I suppose heavy games should be avoided now, nexus S does provide a totally smooth smartphone experience otherwise. I dont restart my phone for days now and it all works smoothly, just gaming which can really bring it to it's knees.
I have had my Verizon S6 for a little over two weeks now. In general I like it, but I've noticed it seems to overheat easily. A repeatable scenario is while playing Olaf's Adventures (Don't judge me!) for about 10 minutes I'll get the "Cooling Down" warning. I won't have anything else running in the background. I tends to happen the fastest when I'm playing that and doing multiple things in the game at the same time (have Olaf run around & interact with his world at the same time).
To those of you who have a S6 could you download this free game and see if your phones overheat as well? I'm wondering if it's just my phone, or if all the S6s are that way.
Thanks!
I personally never had the overheat issue while playing graphic intensive games, such as WoT and Modern Combat 5. I think it's the issue with the app, not the phone itself.
Yes it gets really hot after playing for 7-8 minutes . But didn't show any warning . I think it's just an app issue.
I'll check out Modern Combat 5 and WoT and see what happens there. I also noticed it happened with Google Cardboard.
I downloaded and tried Modern Combat 5 and watched the temps with CPUz. It didn't seem to get above 61c, so either it isn't as demanding, or like you said Olaf's Adventures is poorly written. It worries me that Google Cardboard also caused overheating though. Does anyone else have heating issues with Google Cardboard? Again it could be the apps fault. I believe it was some VR theater that caused the overheating.
So far I've noticed this with two games, Bladeslinger and Granny Smith.
The game loads, but touch input does nothing. These two games work fine with the stock software for my shield (update 4.4), but under Bliss or Dirty Unicorns they don't respond to touch input.
I thought this might be because my GPU or CPU wasn't being detected correctly, so I tried this guide (http://gamin9.blogspot.com/2014/09/how-to-play-tegra-games-on-non-tegra.html) for running Tegra games on a non-Tegra device. Struck out there.
I would appreciate any help with getting these two games working with Bliss on my tablet. It's so much faster overall, and the battery life is better too. I did switch back to stock for a while, but the battery drain wasn't worth being able to play two more games than i could with Bliss. The developers of those games can't help; Bladeslinger's developer doesn't respond to email, and Granny Smith's only offered me a refund. So much for fixing a bug...
I notice Plague Inc has a tendency to freeze under Bliss or DU, which also doesn't happen with stock. Not sure if that's relevant or not.
I just tried flashing the NVIDIA blobs, but it caused too many problems so I had to undo it. Didn't seem to fix these games either.
I bought my phone few days ago. No flickering, no bad battery and other things like that. But lots of problems have come out since i started to download games. I've download Pubg mobile, f1. Two games which have physical and 3d model and this is what i am confused.
All the physical goes wrong. In pubg, vehicles to from place to place. Drop from the sky and back to the sky again. In F1, my car goes underground and fly to the sky. I didn't even touch my phone in those situation.
I love the design of this phone but can anyone help me to figure out what is happening on my phone? Please, i have already tried wipe cache, reinstall those app and factory reset my phone twice. Thamks you.:crying:
