A Simple click of the Thanks button would have been nice
If installing PC companion didn't help. Do this
1. Download and install latest version of flashtool
Link : http://androxyde.github.io/
2. Go to Flashtool Installation directory, then into drivers and run flashtool-drivers.exe
3. Install FlashMode drivers and Fastboot Drivers
You might get some warning about the drivers not being digitally verified, just continue with installation.
The above process basically installs all the required drivers, but windows still doesn't know which drivers to assign to which device. So we have to manually do it.
4. Connect you device (with USB debugging enabled and in MSC mode) and just let it install the required drivers, but it will say Android ADB Interface Drivers not found.
5. Open Device Manager, your profile name -> Other Devices -> Unknown Device/Android ADB. Right click, Update Driver Details.
6. Browse my computer manually -> Let me pick ..... computer -> Show All Devices
7. Wait for a while for it to list all devices.
8. Manufacturer : Google, Inc.
Model : Sony ADB Interface
9. One again you will get the Not Digitally Signed Error again, but this is the same driver we installed in the above steps, so nothing to worry.
10. Finish installing and your done!
11. Run "adb devices" in cmd to test.
Protip : Make Sure no other devices are connected.
I connected my Xperia device to my Linux Laptop and it installed everything automatically

You should have a google-usb_driver folder, and you need to be at revision 4.
..........
Any reason why when i boot into my bootloader it doesnt finder the driver? I pointed to the revision 4 driver and still nothing , im on win 7 64
I have the same problem with xp. if i cant get it to work i will be forced to return this phone.
Guys it isnt difficult, its pretty strait forwards, and the drivers work on XP i know cuz i have it running
No sdk usb folder
I cannot find the folder anywhere.
(using windows 7 64bit)
SDK manager can detect the device from my USB.
But when trying to install the device software for the "android gingerbread" device under the device manager, there are no folders showing the sdk usb drivers.
Tried to edit path, still not showing the folder.

A buddy of mine has a Nexus S. He's been having issues with his phone. He was having issues with screen locking, none responsive, etc. Now his phone won't boot. It stays stuck in recovery. Anything can be done? Phone is not rooted.
For sure. Is it a custom recovery or stock?

He's running stock.
It's weird that it's degraded like this. I've only had a Captivate and now I have the Atrix and I've never seen this happen unless trying to flash a custom rom. But I know he doesn't know how to do that.
To get specific he's got:
OS: 2.3.3
Baseband: I9020XXKb1
Kernel: 2.6.35.7-g1d030a7
Build Number: GRI40.
My friend, you must do the following:
1- flash cwm recovery via sdk on bootloader mode.
2- download any rom from the development forum (stock, cm7, and so on)
3- mount USB storage via cwm recovery
4- put the mod zip file on the root of the sdcard via usb
5- flash the rom(install zip)
6- reboot your device

I spent 6 hours fixing this guys problem because he was a amateur.
Read this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1000722 It'll go through the process. It's pretty much the same as your problem.
tl;dr.
1. Get USB Drivers
2. Setup SDK tools
(Links for these are in my thread).
3. Unlock the phone if it isn't already (fastboot oem unlock)
4. Download CWR IMG (its in my thread)
5. fastboot flash recovery recovery.img (rename crespo-clockwork..... to recovery.img; it has to be in /sdk/tools/ .. show extensions).
6. boot into CWR
7. mount USB
8. download a ROM (or do this before you start -- or nandroid backup)
9. wipe dalvik,cache,factory (if you're flashing a ROM)
10. flash or nandroid restore
11. phones back to normal

I can't get the phone to show up as an adb device. I had installed the drivers using PDAnet which worked for a few minutes. I went to unlock the bootloader but it just froze. It didn't do anything after about an hour we powered the phone off. now after you start it up it doesn't show up as an adb device.......

What OS do you run in your PC?
You must first download de sdk .zip, extract it into a folder.
Then, install USB package from the SDK.
Then, enter devmgmt.msc on Run... (Windows). Select the driver that is missing (Android 1.0) > Left click > Update driver > Browse my computer > Let me pick from a list > have disk > choose the folder you installed google usb drivers (inside C:\ SDK folder\extra).

Yea i've tried that to load the driver. It's running Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit. The only drivers that seem to work are from PDAnet. I finally got it to show up again so i've issued the fastboot oem unlock, my buddy confirms it but the phone does nothing.....
When plug USB cable in my explorer and USB debug is on, I just can't use adb command "adb devices" to find my devices(the lists always empty in cmd) and other adb cmd also unavailable.
My Win7 always see my device as Mass Storage Device, it is not like Sense based ROM to reveal such as "My HTC" in Win7 taskbar.
Can anyone help me to use adb on CM10 ROM(is on andriod OS running instead of recovery)?

Hi ,
My micromax A110 is Jelly bean 4.1.1(pre installed) Stock recovery mode and Unrooted.
I tried to root from my windows machine using a Batch file by Bin4ry, but it didnt work.
Error -> mount permission denied (are you root?)
I also tried to root with superSU.zip from stock recovery mode but that didnt work because it needs CWM recovery mode.
Now that i am trying to flash recovery to install CWM recovery from SP tool (flash tools)
I am getting :
Error -> BROM ERROR : S_DA_SOC_CHECK_FAIL (3013)
Can anyone help ? Please dont just visit and ignore, post something if you have come across anything like this and you can help.
Are you sure you had selected the Enable USB Debugging in your settings?
Dude you are not having proper adb driver installed for your device. Install the correct drivers , if your device is listed as an adb device in device manager while connected to your PC, you are good to go with binary batch method.

Should i try another pc ? because i tried to install and uninstall many devices.
I also installed MT6577 drivers.!
One thing i observed ---
When i switch off and connect the cable, Its connected and shows a Mediatek device in device manager, after 1-2 seconds it automatically dissapeears (like its disconnected), even when i have cable plugged.
Goto Settings->Developer Options and check if USB debugging is checked..
If it is already checked and still not working then u might want to try re-installinh the latest Micromax A110 drivers on your computer and try rooting..

I try to install ADB drivers for Sony Xperia S, but I cannot.
I tried to use one from here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2635830
but each time I get this error message "DPInst.exe does not execute on your current Operating System". I have Windows 7 64bits.
Maybe somebody can help me with that problem?
You can install it from Sony official website according to your device ;
Click the link to install : http://developer.sonymobile.com/downloads/drivers/
ADB brivers are not android device specific. They are universal. Try installing 15second adb driver. Just search it on google and it may help you
