[GUIDE] Fix IMEI Null and Baseban Unknown!! on Galaxy S advance - Galaxy S Advance I9070 General

In some specific firmware regions when we move to custom roms or another regions rom we get this error imei null and baseband unknown. Here is the way to fix this problem
1.First you should install stock rom of your region so that you get your imei and baseband back.
2.After this install root explorer or any another root browsing apps and navigate to /system/lib and search a folder called (tee) inside there and copy that (tee) folder to your external sd card or a pc.
3.If you want to flash custom roms then open your custom rom using 7-zip and navigate to /system/lib and drag and drop your original (tee) folder there and replace with custom roms (tee) folder.
4.After that you can normal flash that custom rom and your imei null and unknown baseband will be solved.
5.Another method is if you move to another region firmware then after installing firmware manually delete (tee) folder from /system/lib and put the one you backed up in /system/lib and fix the permissions to rwxr-xr-x and reboot your system.
6.All done enjoy...:laugh::laugh:
This works for both gingerbread and jellybean roms

Nice if it is real. In my case this problem is always hw fault or efs damage.

How about CSC unknown?
I experiance it whenever i do:
-deodexed my stock rom
-flash custom rom which is the same as deodexed it (all custom rom here use deodexed)

downgrade is not as simple as "just flash GB again"
You need to use this guide:

Look at log in odin if it was crc error that prevented flashing. If it was that then re download firmware.

Yup!! First flash hongkong firmware then root it. After that using root explorer copy the tee folder to your sdcard..
Now flash other region firmware then root device again and then replace the tee folder you just copied to your sdcard and it will work...

Hi, im trying to get rooted my SL I9003 referring to many useful guides i found on this forum; first of all, thanks a lot for that
But watch this thread! http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1004647 ....all mirrors are dead and from mediafire u cant really download (eg i failed 1 dl, i have to wait 30 mins ;S)....also would like to know which is the difference between all those many versions and if there is a more upgraded one or one which fits best for my sl I9003 (firmware: 2.3.6, non-rooted)
Ty for the patience :good:
P.s: also, when i manage to download this file I9003XXKPH_I9003XXKPH_I9003SERKPH.zip from here http://hotfile.com/dl/145784146/61cb31c/I9003XXKPH_I9003XXKPH_I9003SERKPH.zip.html ...how am i supposed to make odin read the uncompressed content?? it is like normalboot.img...Odin requires .tar, md5 or smd for PDA field! :S D:
P.p.s: i guees that normalboot.img was a weird download error....now i have the right file....but checking some guides like kkrraazzyy ones i discovered i need to also select a file for the PIT field...and later, also a modem one and CSC.....ok, while i was writing i also saw this: "IF there is only a file of the f.w i.e. pda file then do NOT use a pit file for flashing just select the pda and flash it " cit. kkrraazzyy. Yep, you'll lose data.
ok..
I have wiped all datas and the phone booted, ty....but now i see i only have an older version of the firmware 2.3.4 and XXKPH but no root acces...so how can i flash my phone in order to have root access?
Yo guys, again a problem....i have finally flashed my phone to XXLE4....i flashed it twice in order to get it rooted aftet with vf root, so i downloaded the rooting file from here http://www.mediafire.com/?07jdblow193h1jw i guess i chose the right version (it is for XXLE4)...so after geetting xle4, i flashed that file for rooting and now phone keeps on rebooting randomly after very few seconds it is booted....wtf
.-.
Ok the issue is kind of solved....im now sure that is the cf-root file which leads the phone to keep on rebooting...now i flashed again the XXLE4 and everything is cool....ill try out rooting with superoneclick....still if u have have suggestion it is welcomed of course cheers:fingers-crossed:
bad news
Ok with SuperOneClick i cant update it.....these are the last strings where the error is:

export TEMPRANDOM=76636
export PS1=END:$TEMPRANDOM;cat /data/local/tmp/output

look, if your firmware has only 1 file.. then no need..
but then, you'll have to first flash a firmware which has 4 firmware files... for doing that flash pit file and then the firmware files..
then to flash the rom with only 1 firmware file, in PDA select that one file and flash..
huh?

[SOLVED] [Q] 32GB PIT for GT-P5100?

Hi All
I have searched and searched but can not find a 32GB PIT file for my GT-P5100 (obviously 32GB version).
I need this since I was stupid enough to use a 16GB version while flashing (I know, was pretty stupid hey?)
The tab works 100% with 4.1 JB, just minus 16GB worth of storage!
Can ANYONE please let me know where to find a 32GB version partition file? (the Sammobile site only has 8GB and 16GB)
- OR can I use another type Samsung Tab PIT file?
Thanks for ANY help...
EDIT: This is solved, read on to see some epic assistance!

Hi. Did you use a PIT file when you flashed the ROM? If not, then I think you don't need one to put back your original partitioning neither - just try to flash back the original ROM (if you made a backup), or a ROM from the Development section which is exactly for the P5100 32GB. At least that's what I would try, as using PIT file is very risky, especially from a different device model.
What ROM did you flash btw? If it's a custom ROM, you could also ask the developper for a solution.
UNless you actually flashed a PIT file or checked off the repartition flag in oDIN then nothing should have affected your storage layout.

Thanks for the help, I however did use the PIT file (still not sure why I did!) I also went back to the original ROM to see if somehow this would help. The Tab works without any issues, just partitioned to 16GB
I flashed with official rom, XXCLI5
oh, then I think you're right, using the original PIT file would be the best option... (unless there are system commands that allow repartitioning, but I couldn't find anything).
here you find some explanations about the PIT files:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=999097
then you might want to check this post, it gives a lead for a solution (even two - someone with unmodified partitions extracts for you the original pit file of the tablet, OR use this PIT file editor ):

Hi
I have a pit file for you because I have the same problem. To make a long story short I retrieved it from a working 32GB p5100. I varified the PIT file by using PIT Magic to compare it to the 16GB version. Unfortunately for some reason I cannot get odin to partition my P5100 with this PIT file. I assure you it is the correct file. See if you can use ODIN to install this file. If you are unsure if it is the correct file download pit magic PIT_Magic_v1.3.10_Release to varify.
Pit file attached !!!!!! Used txt to upload. rename type to pit
See if you have any luck repartitioning your internal SD. I think that if we can find the correct stock rom the re-partitioning will be possible.
If you can get this pit file to do what it is supposed to let me know. In the meantime at least we have the correct PIT file.
Regards
John S A
Thanks guys, will try this PIT and keep you posted...

For interest, what Odin version are you using? I tried with 1.87
Also looked at the PIT file in PIT Magic, as you mentioned it does look ok. (LOOKS ok, I also compared this with the 8gb and 16 gb versions)
btw, Happy 2013 all!

Heimdall http://www.glassechidna.com.au/products/heimdall/ has a utility to extract a pit file from a working device.

This PIT file really works!!! A great thanks to author. But, for it became work you need modify it. First, you need to change file ext from .txt to .pit. Next, open this file by any hex-editor (i used HxD editor for this purposes) and remove all zeros in the end of file (C6 D6 48 F6 must be last bytes in the file). Save file and answer YES in change file size dialog. Now size of file should be 2132 bytes. Now You can use this file by ODIN with repartition option checked. After programming You must to boot into recovery mode (power on with volume down buttons) made swipe\factory and swipe\cache. Now space goes back.
I tested this half our ago on my P5100 which I was programmed with 16GB pit.
regards
Just wandering : what append if you would use PIT from 32Gb instead of 16 on a 16Gb tab?

Here is the working pit file zipped after the input from the "RUSSIAN WIZZARD"
USE ODIN 3V1.7
STEPS
UNZIP ATTACHED ZIP P5100_32GB modded.zip
LAUNCH ODIN
SELECT PIT, SELECT REPARTITION, SELECT ROM OF YOUR CHOICE.
DESELECT REBOOT
UNPLUG AND REBOOT MANUALLY AFTER ROM COMPLETION BY HOLDING IN POWER AND VOLUME DOWN INTO RECOVERY MODE
DO FACTORY RESET
YOUR P5100 SHOULD NOW BE A 32GB TAB AGAIN.
ALL THE BEST

Full firmware with pit file

Hi
My device came with ILO product code.
I played with few (official) firmwares and after initializing my device using smart switch, I can no longer return to my original firmware. It's turns out that the initialization through smart switch used a pit file with very little place for "hidden.img"
Every firmware with above average hidden partition fail with odin.
Where can I get pit file for my location or even better - full firmware with pit included?
Thanks in advance
Sammobile?

Same problem here.any help?
Hi
we meet again
I found this firmware
http://www.gsmforum.ru/threads/221072-G920F-(Galaxy-S6)?
it contains pit with 100MB for hidden.img
I downloaded but haven't flashed yet,
too many flashed in the last couple of days.
edit:
just compared the 100mb pit with the one currently on my phone using this tool
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1916936
the differences are - larger hidden.img in expense of userdata
Thread moved to proper forum.

Would u share that new pit with larger hidden.img?i mean just the pit.i will test that and share the resault here
I can still flash one or two more roms.

How do you do that?
If you're on windows - download 7zip and make a new tar with all the files from original firmware+the pit file
ok,just double checking to make sure i do not make any more mistakes.i should put the pit file here right?
Yes
------------------------------
when you choose to add files to archive
just select in archive format - tar

If you prefer, you can do it in another way
download this file
https://mega.co.nz/#!oJF1nAAS!bHpoSXEiBBLLYtj4HYQZUDvCcvLwUUgNin3wJLeT3eI
flash it (and only it) as csc
reboot again to download mode and flash XSG (original - without added pit)
Very Nice Thanks for the INFO. :good:
I only want to know why PIT can brick your device?

[Completed] CSC file, repartitioning, PiT file, non-wipe flashing and relations between these

I have ideas about what PIT files do. They provide data for appropriate phone storage partitioning.
I know repartitioning (an ability in ODIN and z3x) wipes data
I also know the differences between CSC and HOME_CSC is that the first one wipes data and second doesn't.
Now I have some questions:
Is repartitioning different from using a PIT file?
If yes, will I face problems checking repartition checkbox without using a PIT file?
I inspected CSC and found a .pit file inside it. Is that pit file responsible for wiping data (repartition thing)?
How to realize if a 1-file ROM (PDA only) is non-wipe or not?
Well ,
Infact 1 rom tar will not wipe data's , it's only install as updated for ur current firmware but if u had / faced random reboot then for sure u need full wipes ,
Yes once u install rom with pit its will erase everything on ur phone & its will solve too many problems if ur firmware having it .
Good luck ,
Thank you for Using XDA Assist ,,

[GUIDE] Downgrade SM-G920i from Android 7.0 to 6.0.1 with Secure Download Enabled

Hello all!
This is my first tutorial here, hope to be useful as it was for me. After several attempts and extense research mainly here in XDA I finally achieved to downgrade my SM-G920I from 7.0 to 6.0.1 even with secure boot enabled.
The basics: Using a chilean stock 6.0.1 ROM:
- I've extracted all files from the stock rom and repacked it as 4 files without sboot.bin Instructions here: forum DOT gsmhosting DOT com/vbb/f777/tutorial-create-samsung-4-file-multi-firmware-your-own-100-a-1860706/- I've used a PIT default file for my model and region from here: sammobile dot com/forum/threads/30173-galaxy-S6-G920-pit-files
The instructions are the usual, Using Odin 3.12, flash the files into their respective slots and select the PIT file into PIT tab also. In options disable auto reboot and check re partition.
Download link in progress, but you can DIY with the instructions before.
downgrade issue can you give me the PIT file for sm-g920f please
also i have issue to back to nougat an error occured hidden.img durinf flashing

PD: The FRP for your device in on the second link mentioned before.
There is easier way ,after extracting delete all .bin (aboot cache hidden and something else cant remember)then repack using 7zip to the originat format u will notice that the new archive is bigger it's about 3.6 gb inside there is data, system and some other files flash the new archive with odin and thats all ,worked fine t mobile g920t downgrading from nougat to mm

Yes, you are right. Using 7zip is a lot easier.
Will work on Att version G920A with locked bootloader on 7.0? I've been researching 2 days to see about downgrading it 6.0.1 while taking least chances as possible. If answer is yes, when repackaging should I remove md5 extension on all 4 files?
Thanks

Just select the file and compress them using normal compression in options ,maybe the problem is with your version of odin
