bricked and faux kernel question ics

Hi, does anyone know if faux or bricked kernel builders are working on ICS kernel?I just loved their work on gingerbread
I think it's wrong thread, u should ask in Q&A. As far I know there is no source code so they can not work on it. SebastianFM has hex modified stock kernel for ICS builds.
Q & A should have been a better place to ask. I'm on SebastianFM for ICS 3.30.401.1 and is running smooth as hell.
My guess would be that these devs will create a kernel once the source is out officially. That's what I remember hearing n their threads a while back. Everything is looking like we should get an ics update by end of march. Let's hope..

No source code = no custom kernels (with the obvious exception of SebastianFM's hex edited ones)

[CLOSED] Kernel devs needed

Hello all,
I am benjamingwynn. I am currently working on a sense 3.5 ROM for the HTC Wildfire S and HTC Salsa and ran into a problem...
The kernel on the Salsa cannot or won't work on Sense 3.5 ROMS.
This is where I need a kernel dev who is looking for a small challenge to help modify the existing kernel for the salsa to run sense 3.5.
If you are looking for a real challenge then overclocking is also a possibility, but not something we need.
I have little experience with kernel development but am a fast learner as

Ain't this General
@OP, what exactly happens?
Stuck on the bootloader?
Also, are you porting a newer Android version and using an old kernel? - e.g. you had froyo, the rom you are porting is gingerbread and you are using the froyo kernel
Also, if you manage to get logcat/ dmesg - it'ld help
And post the kernel here.

AOSP won't ever "come to Desire S". Desire S has Sense, and will have Sense. If you want - you can flash AOSP ROM yourself.

AOKP - Android Open Kang Project
It's an ICS ROM and of course there's a possibility of seeing it! Maybe we'll see superkid around again or even Lowveld. But IceColdSandwich has pretty much the same functionality as AOKP but also merged with CM9. Best of both worlds! Obviously can't compare the battery life with AOKP but the battery life is definitely pretty decent!
It's already here Check out IceColdSandwich, it uses "parts" from AOKP. (Read, parts = All the good Stuff)
Well, I already knew everything that's written in this thread. But what the hell is Kang??? I'm curious about that for long time

Kang → The process of creating a code based of someone else's code or reapplying code that someone else created into your own code i.e, directly copying code (e.g. git cherry-pick)

no way to take screenshots in aroma installer and honestly there really isnt a need this isnt a rom just an installer that gives you the choice of flashing several different kernels.

shoot me a link i'll get it added, my hopes are that people will let us know their fav kernels then we can add those to the list as well.
you might want to add the Neok AceDroid kernel to the installer. after using the Blackout 1.0 kernel for almost two weeks, i switched back to AceDroid. no freezing or performance issues with the Blackout kernel, just the popping noise.
also, in no way am i a developer of any sort, but i have a possible idea. (i am assuming that current kernels are not being based off the Telus DHD kernel source, and that the Telus source has sense 3.0)
from what i've gathered, eventhough the AT&T Inspire has gingerbread kernel source, it doesn't have sense 3.0 code in it, which would cause sound and usb problems on sense 3.0 roms. if the kernel source was switched to the Telus DHD, would those problems go away? would dual mic still be enabled?
i might be kind of late , is the unity kernel development id dead ?
neok and rc mox 12 are pretty good

Wow! Very good, but why you said "But only 2.6.35", means old, no good?
I think we'll know once some dev downloads it and tests it on an ICS ROM
It's not just a typo like.they're claiming as the file behind the link is called ace-ics-crc-2.6.35-a375925.zip. either they're fuking with us and having a laugh or it was upped by mistake and its not ready yet. Imo its more evidence that the update is in fact being worked on, however slow.
Edit: itried downloading it but the files to small to contain anything, just a few kb so its bull or been removed but if it had been removed I would have expected the whole entry to be removed rather than.just the file. On the other hand could just have been my browser playing up :S
for me the file it's 88 mb...but i don't know...there too much file in the zip file
Dropbox link
Link removed ! Sorry
Here is a downloadlink from my dropbox and it is like the starter of this post showed in his attached thumbnails.
--------------------------------------
It´s about 88,4 mb.
Feel free to download from the dropbox.
Maybe any DHD dev. can look inside the code and give us a statement about the usability of this.
Thanks
weird.. kernel 2 and not kernel 3 for ICS?? o.o

Seems is usual mistake, because hTC use 3.0.16 kernels for all 4.0 updates

It's AT&T, so my guess is it's the kernel source for this Inspire 4G ROM update http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1810461
I wrote it today morning:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1886092
but it was be moved to Q&A.
Because I was not sure I contacted HTC tech. support in my country and it was me confirmed, this is ICS for DHD/Inspire 4G. It is only for AT&T on USA market, but I think: THIS IS GREAT MESSAGE FOR US?

Do you mean that those kernels include the fix for the wire headset control issue?
All official ICS kernel on HTCDev are at least 95 MB in size. Kernel for Desire HD 2.6.35 is just 88 MB. (Don't know if it matters)
