Samsung Galaxy S Wallet Review [Credit Cards, Cash & Phone!]

Hey Guys
I've recently purchased an accessory from eBay. It came yesterday and I have got to tell you it's the best case I have bought for the Galaxy S, and I must have bought 6 or 7 cases for it, as I like to change. The case I bought is great, because it frees up space in my pocket because I can carry the cards I use every day (debit cards, membership cards, college card etc...) in the same case as I carry my phone. You can see how the case holds both the phone and the cards in the picture, and their is a compartment behind the cards holder for cash and other items of use (such as my bike key and house key).
eBay Listing Here
I have also seen the video for the Samsung Galaxy S drop test, and me being a 'safety freak' as I don't want it to break, put it to the test whilst it was in this case. The phone simply clips inside and is very sturdy, the phone has never fallen out of its clip and is actually pretty hard to remove, which is something I like for safety reasons. I dropped the phone onto tile flooring whilst the case was closed, from a height of about 7ft. This is little above my height, as I am 6ft2" and whilst making a call it could be easy to drop. The phone was fine, no scratch or scuff marks, and the screen was intact! I have tried this whilst the case is both opened and closed, and it seems that the case almost closes its self when it is dropped to protect the screen which is a massive pro for this casing!
Now, onto the bad things about this casing. As you can see, the hinge is leather, as you would expect it to be for style. This means that you have to fold over the leather {which doesn't damage it in any way}, whilst you are making a phone call, or it just flaps all over your face. The same goes for typing, it's difficult to type fast with both fingers, unless of course you fold the case over, which is no big deal! One other con with this product, is that when you first insert your credit card type objects, they are hard to remove and are a tight fit, but once you've put them in and removed them a few times, it becomes looser and things become much easier.
So theirs my review on this case. You can get it from eBay and I purchased it for £7.90 with free postage and packaging, from a UK supplier, so these aren't manufactured in Hong Kong or China. It's a great product, and if you're looking to free up some space in your pockets, whilst protecting your phone, I would definitely recommend this to you. It also comes with 2 free screen protectors and a cleaning cloth, which aren't great and I personally don't use them as it's gorilla glass, but some people do use them, and you've got 2, so if you put one on wrong or break one, you've got another go, well worth the money! I will shortly take some pictures of my case, and not use the one on eBay which could be seen as biased towards selling the product.
Thanks for reading the review!

Just how hard is it to remove? Is it easy enough to remove that its not a negative when you get in the car and want to move it to the car holder?
It's not of great difficulty to remove, but you will need two hands to remove it. You have to lift it on either side and it unclips.
Thanks for the review, the case looks like a great thing to take out on the town with you, without having 4,5,6 different things to look after.

Here's my case. I bought it at a jumble sale for £0.50p and has seen me through four phones for nearly six years now. A bit clunky but it holds the phone in the front with a Velcro flap and all credit cards, notes my USB etc etc inside. It may not look the most modern but the design and quality is excellent. If it were a little slimmer it would be perfect.
Won't the cards be touching/scratching the Galaxy S?
In which one?

AdamDowning's
They touch it, but don't scratch the screen. Been using it maybe 1-2 weeks now, and no scratches, it comes with a free screen protector if you wanna put that on but I don't use one. Remember, it's gorilla glass!

got mine today, also not fancy to put on the screen protector ... looks nice and cmon 99p ...
I've got this case, and I absolutely love it. In fact, my 15 year old (who has a Galaxy Portal) wants one for his phone...he thinks it's "cool". I own a Pdair book case, and a few other cases, but this case is definitely the best of them all.

I would delete that second picture. I can read quite a few of the numbers on your credit card and I'm not a determined crook.
Next time just pull the cards out, or just put one that isn't as sensitive.
Just got mine.. the seller kind enough to add me to the safe list so that I can buy the item..
I really like the case, sleek and stylish. You can see that it is really well made..
I got one of these and I'm in two minds about it, on the one hand I really like it the quality is excellent and I got it for a quid when they were on sale.
However, I really would far prefer a flip down because holding it when on a phone call is kinda awkward. It's such a pity because other than that it's pretty much the perfect case.
Hi! Have had this for a while now..and last 2weeks 2 of my bank cards has become unrecognized when trying to use them.. You had cards get broken? Hmm maybe to close to phone magnets? :-(

Bicycle Phone Holder

Can someone recommend me a holder for my bicycle handlebar? I love MyTracks audio prompts, but would love to have the other visual information at a glance. Preferrably a holder that can adjust, because I might be getting an extended battery too.
Thanks!

I bought one from thinkgeek two weeks ago for 11.99 and it rules. I ride off road trails daily and it does not slip at all. Yesterday I hate a decent jump forgetting I had my phone mounted and it did not move, well worth it.

This thing? http://www.thinkgeek.com/gadgets/travel-outdoors/e04d/??? Looks super cheap and way too big for anything other than beach cruising.
doesn't look very sturdy, I don't want my phone flinging off my bike when I'm skidding through traffic at 20mph. I'm going to mod the back of a case for the phone, they snap lock pretty securely to the back of the phone, just make a handlebar loop of some sort and it might do the trick.

I agree, it didn't look too secure. Try one of the Arkon mounts if the DIY doesn't work out. I use one on my motorcyle so I'm sure it would be ok for you.
I use this one on my bike and it works great.

I can't post a link here yet but, you might Google "Ram Mounts" (ram-mount.com). These guys aren't cheap but they are good. Highly regarded in motorcycle circles. I would think the bycycle mounts or motorcycle mounts may work for ya.

Case with Credit Card Slot

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone knows of a case for the fascinate that has a slot for credit cards? I did a lot of Googling and came up with only a leather flip holster. Any help is appreciated.
Seems risky imo. Lost/forget your phone, lost your cc. Keep it in your wallet.

Your phone likely is a more dangerous thing to lose than your credit card. Lots of personal information. In the phone in most cases.
I think a case with credit card holder is a good idea. I'd buy one.
I used to have one for my Blackberry Storm 2, it snapped on and had a slot on the back that held a credit card and a drivers license. Couldn't find anything like it for my Fascinate.

One hell of a steal! I've heard bad things about those tho. Like there is a gap between the two pieces meaning it could more easily come apart if dropped thus allowing water or anything to intrude the case coming into contact with the device. Other than that it would have been my second choice but that was a deal breaker for me.

tried it for the 1st time yesterday for the Spartan Beast in temecula! yes there is a gap when u try to close it. but taking the back cover off ur phone fixes this. i was really iffy about using the case. as i never tested it. took the back case off. used the atlas case and it seals completely. used it the whole race through mud water and the swamp. stayed dry the whole time. quite happy with it. + it has a small part on the case u can put a lanyard!
about people mentioning the sound being drowned or anything because of the case seal. watching my videos it doesnt seem that much. my voice is clear and so are the people around me. havnt tried it for voicecall yet.

"taking the back cover off" thats poor design on Incipio, you should not have to do that lol. Glad you like it though! I'll stick with Seidio seriously cannot wait for the Obex case for Galaxy S5!

Wth, yeah i guess i wouldn't be either xD Great job man! I'm always looking for cheap cases, had to pay the full price for my LifeProof for the Galaxy S5 cause eBay and other places had about the same price, plus that way i don't need to worry if i ever have a warranty claim.

Good review for Samsung official cases

Here's a pretty good review of the official Note 7 cases by Erica Griffin:
https://youtu.be/WBr_qKCqJwg
I already bought the LED one and it looks really cool.
.
I am using LED Cover. And it's awesome.
It's gimmicky, sure. But to me, why not compliment an impressive phone with an impressive cover? Besides, I can answer calls with it. So why not?

This is not a good review, she obviously doesn't know what she is talking about, she got the stand function totally wrong on the s view cover as she obviously has not used it and demonstrated it incorrectly and in the comments she states that in the LED case can hold credit or debit cards which Samsung state's not to put in the case because of the magnet.

She does show a lot of the case's functionality to be fair to her. Didn't realize till now that there's that many icon options etc. I might now consider getting it at some point.
You've got one as well to review right? Show us how it's done (as this is the internet let me explicitly say I don't mean this in a mean way, just curious to see your review!)

Well OK, she may have had a bit of a dumb moment with the stand but the video shows the cases in clear detail.
I have 2 samsung cases including the LED one and both with the card slots and have always put a credit card in there with no issue at all. I think it is just a "back covering" statement about the magnet, no worse than putting all your cards together in a wallet.
Anyway... I just thought it might help someone.
.
I've been paranoid about a credit card scratching the screen in some of these wallet cases, but that looks like it has a recessed aread which is nice. I like that LED case and may consider that as an option in the near future.
