Internal storage gone - Asus Transformer TF700

I flash data2sd a while back and recently I started to run out of storage and it was getting really laggy so I tried to wipe everything then reinstall the ROM. I also want to free up my internal storage so I did the wipe data option in twrp. Now after I reinstalled the ROM my internal storage is gone. Any help would be appreciated

What do you mean: It's gone? I see it right there with 14gb of storage available??

Thats the storage from my partition on my sd card. I used a 32 gb sd card for data2sd mod

Which kernel did you flash?
Sent from my ASUS Transformer Pad TF700T using Tapatalk HD

Your internal storage does not (and never has) display on there with data2sd. To locate it get a file manager and locate /sdcardi this is your internal storage now.

Their is a sdcardi folder but I can't copy anything onto.

Are you still trying to implement Data2SD?
I would suggest you give up on it. It creates more problems than it solves.... and doesn't really get you much if any improvement on performance in CROMI-X.
Reflash the rom with _that or stock kernel, reformat your microSD and live happily ever after

Storage

I have the 32GB version of the transformer TF300 and have now found that I only have about 14GB left. What I'm wondering is how can I free up storage and can I move game data files of like FIFA or gameloft games to the micro SD card to free up memory?
Sent from my ASUS Transformer Pad TF300T using xda app-developers app
i dont think so mate s it normally means the internal sd card but i had about 6 gb free before i started trying to update and to cut a long story short i used titanium back up and did a factory restore and now i have nearly 19gb free
Sent from my ASUS Transformer Pad TF300T using Tapatalk 2
Thanks, I'm without root though so can't really use titanium backup. Not really too sure how and why to use it actually, except from to backup apps
Sent from my R800i using xda app-developers app
Its good for backing up your apps so if you have to wipe your tablet or do a factory restore you can have everything back in just a few clicks
Sent from my ASUS Transformer Pad TF300T using Tapatalk 2
I had to do that but just copied the files to a micro SD card and installed every app again. Seemed to work fine.
Dont know which games to get rid of really, even though I barely play any.

did you do a factory restore and wipe the data, and if you did di it free up some space??
and the reason titanium backup is so useful is because you it backs up the data for a app too so you wont lose your saves for your games,
Yeah, I kept some of my saves too. I did free up data but reinstalled every app anyways.

sorted mate how much space you got left now??
I haven't done it now, just did it in the past, not much I can do really. How does TB work though? Do you copy the folder to a micro sd card or something?
Sent from my R800i using xda app-developers app
yep it backs up each app individuallyand puts them in a folder on your internal memory then you just move it to a sd card then when you want to restore them just tell tb to search for a backup and it will find the one on the sd card then install everything back and then just wait for it to to its thing

in titaniums settings you can change the folder where you want your backups to be, just set it on a folder on your external sd card.

Me too wondering what's the change. No information at all, just says bug fixes and stability. Hope the frequent reboot problem is solved!

Updated and the update went fine and able to restore root via Rootkeeper.
Some changes:
System update check menu changed.
Polaris office updated to version 3.5
Camera: Green block image while capture bug seems to have been fixed (still testing)
No change:
I/O still terribly slow
Not much difference in the performance of the tablet before update for me.
Will be updating any changes I find out while testing
If anyone would be so kind as to upload the .blob file as im unlocked and no longer receive updates that would be sweet. Although im sure they will post the update eventually on ASUS Support
Just found that they now place the version numbers of the wifi, gps, and bluetooth. I can't find anymore changes
Well...crap. Havent received my tablet yet but when I do I was going to update it and then root. I would imagine this is going to break our ability to actually root with the methods we currently have?
well before you update, better make a backup first while on ics with nvflash I believe and you can do whatever you want with it after
Guess I'll start watching the website for the big zip

It would be beneficial for all to consolidate discussions on this update to one thread. As General is probably a more appropriate section, how about keeping any future posts on this topic in this thread?
Looks like they fixed random reboots when using a USB mouse

The random reboots problem still happening :-\
Enviado desde mi GT-I9100 usando Tapatalk 2
The only interesting thing happening to me is every time I boot, it indicates with a little window that it's loading apps, as if it's optimizing when you load an update ROM for the first time, then goes into the system normally. It's just an annoying 15 second delay. Other than that, not noticing too much different yet.

Problem with microSD card 64 GB

Hi gyus!
There is a problem with Kingston MicroSDXC 64GB.
If I insert it in tablet slot nothing happened. Asus cant' detect it.
If I insert it in dock with SD adapter everything is ok.
I tried to format microSD in FAT32 and NTFS but without succes.
Is there a solution for this ?
p.s. by the way, microSD card 32 GB or 16 GB works perfectly.

my tf300 runs my micro sd card without any problems. i'm running seanzscreams' rom btw.
I'm also using a sandisk ultra 64GB, works in both slots (NTFS).
Have you rebooted the device, sometimes the tablet gets upset if you've not unmounted the card properly.

Yes, I have tried to reboot.
As I understand is a problem with stock kernel, but in untermensch kernel this issue is solved.
Are you using stock?
I'm using clean rom 2.6 which is based on the stock rom and IIRC it worked with the stock rom too.
I'm guessing it could be a problem linked to certain cards?
I am having the same problem on 64gb. Other devices read it however the tf300 doesn't read. I my tf300 reads other sd cards but not this one. I am in Clean rom and Clemson kernel.
Sent from my SPH-D710 using xda app-developers app
And how about a stock 4.1.1 ROM?
Have anyone tried it?
Thinking of buying exactly this card, sandisk 64 gb 10 class
OK so I just got a sandisk ultra 64gb class 10, took it out of the package put it in the powered down tablet, powered up, watched, and while booting saw the SD card icon in the lower right. Checked storage in settings, and it picks up 64gb. I'm running stock jb v.18 unlocked and rooted.
Sent from my ASUS Transformer Pad TF300T using xda app-developers app
all stock kernel should be able to read the 64g
Sent from my ASUS Transformer Pad TF300T using xda app-developers app
And it does very well. TWRP can't though which is a disappointment, but I'll live with it.

Where did my space go?

Hay guys I have a problem. Out of 12 gigs around 4 gigs are under misc.
Any idea where those went?
I've checked my download folder and there is not 4 gig worth of stuff in there
I recently went to another build on aokp and before I restored my apps via titanium backup it was still high under misc.
Any idea how to find out what's taking up so much room?
Maybe an app that can find out for me?

Nandroid backups are pretty big... Use astro file manager or root file explorer than check the size of your /cyanogen folder
Sent from my SCH-I535 using xda app-developers app
I deleted my nandroid from my internal and it deleted about 4 gigs of stuff...when you backup in CWM, make sure you backup to external sd card..
I would say it's system files the rom uses but it looks like that 4gb is already accounted for as your total space says 12gb vs 16gb like on a tw rom

Is it okay to delete the even the latest nandroid backup?

Myspace is still there, it's just been overrun by the likes of Facebook and twatter but I think it's still better.

You can delete whatever you want but if your using cwm I would delete the back ups through recovery and not a file manager because someone says it doesn't get rid of all the blobs that way. Also I would keep at least one back up just in case.
Sent from my SCH-I535 using xda premium
Went into nandroid but only I when I went to the delete option there is said that there were no files to be deleted. Which is odd because eight before I did a factory reset, I deleted some of my other nandroid backups. So I deleted them via root explorer but still up to 3 gigs of misc. Is that normal?

Try Titanium Backup. It has that option and i use it all the time in all my devices (unfortunately i just bought a used tf300t updated to latest fw and i cannot root nor unlock it so far). You can even make flashable zips from recovery with Titanium. If you use these zips i recommend each time you make a clean install, let it boot once, dont set up anything, and then just reboot to recovery and flash titanium's zip. You can even restore your accounts with it. just dont restore such settings when you re changing different custom roms or android versions, cause you might get fc's.
I cant find it in titanium backup mate where is it found?

You can choose either the green or the yellow. It's just different format /way of tibu to backup. I usually use the green one.

Last time I restored it was on my tf101 going from 4.2.2 to 4.3, tibu managed to restore everything besides wifi access points. Don't know why, I tried several times but nothing. I didn't have the yellow option backed up to try, so I suggest to keep a back up of both green and yellow just in case...
