Thanks, sorry I didn't get this out sooner. Glad I inspired it to happen, even if my attempts failed! I'm sure we can continue to improve it, and the more people committing changes the better.
Finally got this rom to boot. Looks great! Still has bluetooth audio bug, but that's minor to me.

Install a rom with bmm then reboot then factory reset then flash the rom and gapps. After it boots up use terminal emulator to switch recoveries as mentioned in the OP.

Yes, I think you should be fine installing the ROM with a2bootstrap. It should just remove bootstrap and force install bmm. And since this will be on your 1st system, afterwards you could use the recovery_switch to go to the cm-defy recovery (it's similar to the bootstrapped cwm).
But, this is all in theory since I have not exactly tested it on this ROM yet..
Sent from my MB865 using xda app-developers app
EDIT: Yes, you may install this ROM on 1st system with A2Bootstrap - personally tested and confirmed.

Note: This is currently a WIP as I own the T-Mobile version (hercules) and cannot debug this ROM on my own device. Since the skyrocket and hercules are almost identical, I have built this ROM using my hercules version as a template. The items I have listed as not working are from my T-Mobile ROM and I am assuming they are the same for the skyrocket. For those of you that want to give this a try, I ask that if you are going to report an issue please do so by also providing a logcat of when the issue occurs. Without that I am not going to be able to debug the problem unless it is reproducible on the T-Mobile variant.
I know I said this at the bottom of my OP, but I know how people sometimes glance over posts and do not read it all so here goes.

Alright, so used it for a few hours so far. Titanium Backup keeps FCing when I'm restoring/backing up. Very strange, even after reboot. Also, my SystemUI keeps FCing when I adjust the volume, also after rebooting. When I installed I wiped eeeeeeeeverything and did a clean install. I'm going to try using a different kernel and see if that changes things.
Edit: I've narrowed it down to specifically when you change your ringer from sound to vibrate, or from silent to vibrate. Basically the vibrate is killing it.

Check your kernel from settings/about phone/kernel version.

The former MIUI V4 (3.2.22) , CM 10, CM 10.1 roms colud be flash, no matter which version of Atrix 2 you have.

Yeah, you aren't supposed to do that.
It strictly said that you need ics base.
Fxz to ICS and flash over it.
Finally got it up and booted. Running great so far. Some weird semi-transparent gray bar at the bottom of the screen in settings but apart from that, looks great Thanks again

Issues i've found so far
Just wanted to state the issues i have faced so far:
1-all the mentioned bugs before me are there.
2-the Google play store does not connect idk why ???
3- a lot of the normal apps that naturally comes with the MIUI are not there, like the FM radio, the chattings apps, the locations apps....
Still looking for more...
Btw deveshmanish i have to thank you personally for showing me the most AMAZING THEME I HAVE SEEN IN MY LIFE
And please if you know others like that style please let me know
Again thank you buddy
^play store should work, it works for me. I think you flashed the wrong version of gapps.
Does anyone else have a problem installing some apps from the play store? One in particular is the license key to a premium app even though I have the trial installed.

One note about the governors. Use ondemand or ondemandx. If you are using an app when you get a call it has the unobtrusive call notification at the bottom of the screen.

First boot took a while. Almost five minutes. Are you seeing the boot animation? Took about thirty seconds for boot animation to show. Has the swirling circles like illusion 2.1

I tried 2 clean flashes. One with gapps and one without. Never saw boot animation. Just a vibrate and then the Samsung logo. Had to pull battery and restore slim

booted up fine, used dev host link and no gapps, cwm philz 6103, full wipe, 2min w/boot ani 4 colored circles
I pulled the dev db link. @alanjames01 I know it's a pain but would you try the dev host link and see if it will boot for you? Thanks guys.

using "No-Frills CPU Control" app, when changing HYPER to OneDemand or OneDemandX I get an instant crash and reboot. Is there not a CPU control built into the settings in the ROM? I looked everywhere...
Can someone send me a link for dev host. I am just clicking the link in the op.

just tested aokp w/no problems booting.
users having no boot issues on latest cm nightlies, my quote from the cm11 thread:
ive been having no problems flashing cm11 based roms.
using philz cwm 6103, was testing previously w/twrp 2610, just tested cm-11-20140123-NIGHTLY-skyrocket.zip , dirty(from slcm10.2), clean, no gapps, w/gapps-kk-20140105-signed.zip, it boots, it runs, i signed in to google, but not tested for long term stability.
so for users who are having no boot issues my guess is user error, what error idk. thats why i suggest todo a proper wipe of everything including sdcards(even remove ext. sdcard) to rule out any possible issues with something on your phone.
maybe my phone is a "special" phone as it likes any rom lol
edit:btw im on uxumay7 radio, philz 6103, when wiping i just used philz installing a new rom wiping option
Phil's touch. This boots fine for me. Clean install...
Sent from my SGH-I727 using Tapatalk
No boot, the boot image loaded but it was glitchy, then froze and then bootloop proceeded. I'll try to do what vincom recomended and wipe my sd card, ill post results after.

after completely wiping my sd and doing a clean install, still in a boot loop.
