Check your kernel from settings/about phone/kernel version.
Edit:I don't have the Retail Asia version so haven't played around with the JB Leak.

I'll give this a try once the video resolution bug gets fixed. This is nice though.

It won't boot for me unforch I just get a black screen after Moto logo. Can access the recovery but might have to go back to ICS and try from there...

That's Cuz you flashed over JB leak!
Yeah, you aren't supposed to do that.
It strictly said that you need ics base.
Fxz to ICS and flash over it.

Finally got it up and booted. Running great so far. Some weird semi-transparent gray bar at the bottom of the screen in settings but apart from that, looks great Thanks again

Issues i've found so far
Just wanted to state the issues i have faced so far:
1-all the mentioned bugs before me are there.
2-the Google play store does not connect idk why ???
3- a lot of the normal apps that naturally comes with the MIUI are not there, like the FM radio, the chattings apps, the locations apps....
Still looking for more...
Btw deveshmanish i have to thank you personally for showing me the most AMAZING THEME I HAVE SEEN IN MY LIFE
And please if you know others like that style please let me know
Again thank you buddy

^play store should work, it works for me. I think you flashed the wrong version of gapps.

Does anyone else have a problem installing some apps from the play store? One in particular is the license key to a premium app even though I have the trial installed.

I recomend to use 4EXT Recovery
A 'format all partitions except sd card' is recomended on first install, although if you are coming from my CM10 ROM and you know what you're doing, you can flash over the top of that with a couple of minor and easy to solve issues.
3.32 or 3.33 Firmware (I use 3.33 with 11.76 radio)
If you device is S-ON you must enable 4EXT’s SmartFlash)

If you want 4.2 apps just flash the transform pack in the themes section, and don't forget to thank the guy that posted it

Are there more details on what these minor issues are?
I'm all for fixing stuff, but I'm really bad at figuring out what's broken.
Quick noob question. When I flash 4.1.2 gapps, wouldn't they override the features of 4.2 apps?

Oh...well that's easy!
Is there any reason why I'd want to do a full wipe when switching between them? (Other than the normal reasons why I'd want to like glitches due to bad installs or something)
I didn't realize that you were putting the pdroid mod into this. That is the single biggest reason I'm switching tonight. That is pretty exciting stuff! That the CM caved to pressure from google to leave similar features out of the basic framework was weak on their part. Thank you for putting it back in!
Thank you for all your work for the Sensation. That really can't be said enough!

11/16 preview build I'm getting a slight bug where when I turn my WiFi off it takes a while for data to pick up. Nothing major like the data bug but it takes as much as 3 mins to start working. When it does come on I get amazing signal though. I'll try to replicate it while I have alogcat running and see what I get but in the meanwhile maybe someone else can verify.
Edit:just noticed 11/19 up so no sense in reporting that bug until I flash the latest and check it out.

P A C man ALL IN 1
The struggle to find the rom you need is over. Some people like CyanogenMod 10, Some prefer AOKP, Some like the advantages of Paranoid Android
To cure your rom hunt we have come up with the P A C man Rom.
PACman is a unique rom.
We have picked the best features from CM10, Aokp and PA and combined them in a single rom so you get the experience you deserve
To enjoy the features of every available project without the hassle of flashing regularly.
The Rom is rock stable for an average user but keep in mind the Rom is in WIP stage so expect some minor hickups but we are trying our best to resolve these issues

Is it possible to flash back to the original JB rom from Acer?
In that case i wil try it out, because i need the GPS on holiday next month
Whoops
I have 125g of dead weight
I installed CWM and performed the Format data/factory reset, this went well.
Then I tried to install the ROM but i gave an error and it won't install, i don't know wich error it was anymore.
I'm now downloading the original ROM from the Acer site, but i don't think it wil install becouse my phone isn't in debugging mode i think.
Any ideas or things i did wrong are very welcome!
PS: it's an EMEA device, and it was rooted, might this be the problem?

SlimBean 5Brought to you by CedArctic & Akateha - Team Pear Crew
Well our device needed a light and fast Android Build. So I bring you the only port of SlimBean 5 (4.2.2) for our device. This is a port based on the ROM besttt and his friends. It's actually a nightly but it is stable enough for daily use with minor quirks. I ported this with other expectations but turned out to be a SlimBean ROM (LOL) but anyways I have decided to share the ROM with the community. Anyways enjoy the speed and stability of SlimBean 5 ROM.
How to install:
For S-OFF:
1. Boot to Recovery
2. Factory Data reset
3. Wipe Dalvik
4. Format System
5. Install ROM Zip from Sdcard
6. Install Google Apps and Root Fix
7. Follow the Optimization Section
For Unlocked Bootloaders:
1. Boot to Recovery
2. Factory Data reset
3. Wipe Dalvik
4. Format System
5. Install ROM Zip from Sdcard
6. Install Google Apps and Root Fix
7. Flash kernel (inside zip "boot.img") via fastboot.

Yes,I've noticed it.
Can it be fixed?
We are currently working on it. We hope to make a major release 4 (MR4) with the issue fixed and then the ROM going into stable state and no more updates to be needed.
Just curious...
if
BR = Beta Release
SR = Stable Release,
then
What MR stands for?
or is it just a name?

Major Release, a system I use to determine if an update is a major then it will go from MR3 -> MR4, if not then MR3 -> MR3.1

No! You didn't get the idea, the ROM is based on SR CM. But I just use the letter system for my ROMs.

Niceeeee. Illusion ROM is so sick!
Coooooooooooooool something new, What about modem and kernel? Does it use EPIC modem and is kernel built in? I see that uses Slim gapps, so just get the whatever is latest? Standard all clean install? or coming from Slim I can do dirty install? I am asking as I am on nexus modem with slim 6.
What version is this? 4.2.2 or 4.3?

Tried this ROM. Thanks. Still definitely beta. I reverted back to domination. Issues I saw were no haptic feedback, soft keyboard stays on screen when hw keyboard is used, halo not fully functional. Will try again when some of the bugs are worked out. Thanks.

Have not tested Halo, but haptic feedback is most definitely working for me, & the soft/HW keyboard switching as well. Perhaps a bad download?
Thanks. Maybe I'll give it another go!
Edit. Tried redownloading and clean install. Same results. Oh well.

I was coming from touchwiz rom. I wiped all partitions and flashed illusion and slim gapps. It got stuck on samsung boot. I had to restore my backup cause I couldn't get it to boot. Does this have a kernel? Do I have to flash a jelly bean kernel to get it to boot?

I had the same issue when flashing this rom yesterday. I ended up trying to flash 4 times from a fresh odin flash each time. So 4 rom flashes and 5 odin flashes later and I am on Domination. I got tired of trying, lol. It wasn't a bad download as I compared MD5's, so ... yea.
It looks like it maybe wasn't converting from BML to MTD, and wasn't dropping in a MTD recovery. I may be incorrect there, but I got tired of it all and wanted a working device again.

Then why not flash another MTD ROM (CM10/10.1) prior to this? Doesn't hurt.

Alright folks, here's another update... 4.3 is officially merged!! I just did the last part of it and caught with CyanogenMod as far as frameworks goes.
Reference here to see what I'm talking about: IllusionProject Frameworks/base
Of course there's loads of things to iron out, but the overwhelming part of merging 4.3 is now behind us!
I'm still not going to promise an ETA, but I will be doing what I can to get everything functioning the way it needs to be. Thanks peeps for remaining patient through a busy part of my life recently. There's quite a bit in store for 2.5. I may even release a alpha version of 2.5 so you guys can get your hands on a 4.3 build with all the cool nifty features and such :victory:.

[ROM][GT-P51XX][JB][4.3.0] CyanogenMod 10.2 official nightly builds

CyanogenMod is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 4.3 (JB), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for CyanogenMod is available in the CyanogenMod Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to CyanogenMod, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

I recently got a P5100, but I'm new to flashing samsung and stuff. Been flashing my HTC Desire for years. Is it neccesary to flash the JB bootloader? And are there bugs or is everything working? Also the Gapps only goes to Cyanogenmod 10.1.x, so which one to take? Sorry for all the questions..

If you are still on ICS, yes flash the JB boot loader. If not, you will end having a glitchy looking screen which doesn't effect anything but the screen display. Your choice.
About gapps, I would personally try the one you mentioned and see what happens I don't think it would hurt to try until there's something officially released.. But that's just my opinion.

okay, and if I flash the JB bootloader and want to revert back to my nandroid backup (that is 4.0.3 ICS) do I need to flash back a ICS bootloader then or is that no problem with JB bootloader still installed? Thanks

No JB bootloader works fine with ICS.
I have used it before on my tab 7" but it shouldn't make a difference on 10.1"

I experience one heavily irritating bug.
The red screen frame appears when an app is processing(supposedly invisible actions by the app trigger the activation of the red frame),it only appears for less then a second, but it should not appear at all.I will make a video about that issue if I get the time.
But it happens once on that app,but it is annoying on new apps, and it always appears when unlocking the tab.
Will try reflash tommorow.

But not bad for a first release.
