P A C man ALL IN 1
The struggle to find the rom you need is over. Some people like CyanogenMod 10, Some prefer AOKP, Some like the advantages of Paranoid Android
To cure your rom hunt we have come up with the P A C man Rom.
PACman is a unique rom.
We have picked the best features from CM10, Aokp and PA and combined them in a single rom so you get the experience you deserve
To enjoy the features of every available project without the hassle of flashing regularly.
The Rom is rock stable for an average user but keep in mind the Rom is in WIP stage so expect some minor hickups but we are trying our best to resolve these issues
Code:
#include
/*
* Your warranty is now void.
*
* I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
* thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
* do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
* before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
* you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.

Is it possible to flash back to the original JB rom from Acer?
In that case i wil try it out, because i need the GPS on holiday next month

Whoops
I have 125g of dead weight
I installed CWM and performed the Format data/factory reset, this went well.
Then I tried to install the ROM but i gave an error and it won't install, i don't know wich error it was anymore.
I'm now downloading the original ROM from the Acer site, but i don't think it wil install becouse my phone isn't in debugging mode i think.
Any ideas or things i did wrong are very welcome!
PS: it's an EMEA device, and it was rooted, might this be the problem?

Thank you so much! Booted up and seems great! Get to play around now. Being on GB finally, being able to use cm settings, and getting to see the GB easter egg on her phone is really going to make her 18th Bday a little better XD
Ok so as expected "and like you said" there is some bugs seeing as you are one of the only few to ever work on this. We definitely will not give up.
We only work off wifi so I cannot comment on signal and data.
Wifi won't turn on. It starts to and we get force close/wait and no network listings and it turns off. Camera won't take pictures. Have not tested flashlight. Had no cpu control. Will try NStools. Little sleep wake problem. That's all I know about atm. Thank you so much so far

Should work without it, but it is probably best to flash the kernel as well. Maybe see if you flash the rom, run through, and then flash the kernel and see if you notice a difference.

try it.
i've wiped my tablet while developing so i can't say if it works or not.
I'm really in a struggle here. i hate the new phone ui that Google uses in 4.2.
The notifcation barr at the top sucks and the buttons at the bottom in the middle WTF was Google thinking. So i really in struggle if i want to go to 4.2
What are the cons and pro's between 4.1.2 en 4.2 ?? Is 4.2 smoother then 4.1.2 or is it just a cosmetic upgrade. I know the camera app is upgraded but that's is something i never use on my tablet (people who make pictures with there tablet look like idiots)
The most reviews i read are not that positive about 4.2

Doubtful. Most likely it's about not having service until you manually select your network.

Does that happen all the time or only once ? It would seem to be quite annoying having to select your carrier after each reboot ? Finally though, its nice to have a slimbean jb rom

Yes,I've noticed it.
Can it be fixed?
We are currently working on it. We hope to make a major release 4 (MR4) with the issue fixed and then the ROM going into stable state and no more updates to be needed.
Just curious...
if
BR = Beta Release
SR = Stable Release,
then
What MR stands for?
or is it just a name?

No! You didn't get the idea, the ROM is based on SR CM. But I just use the letter system for my ROMs.

I recently got a P5100, but I'm new to flashing samsung and stuff. Been flashing my HTC Desire for years. Is it neccesary to flash the JB bootloader? And are there bugs or is everything working? Also the Gapps only goes to Cyanogenmod 10.1.x, so which one to take? Sorry for all the questions..

If you are still on ICS, yes flash the JB boot loader. If not, you will end having a glitchy looking screen which doesn't effect anything but the screen display. Your choice.
About gapps, I would personally try the one you mentioned and see what happens I don't think it would hurt to try until there's something officially released.. But that's just my opinion.

okay, and if I flash the JB bootloader and want to revert back to my nandroid backup (that is 4.0.3 ICS) do I need to flash back a ICS bootloader then or is that no problem with JB bootloader still installed? Thanks

I experience one heavily irritating bug.
The red screen frame appears when an app is processing(supposedly invisible actions by the app trigger the activation of the red frame),it only appears for less then a second,but it should not appear at all.I will make a video about that issue if I get the time.
But it happens once on that app,but it is annoying on new apps,and it always appears when unlocking the tab.
Will try reflash tommorow.

I'm working on a source build of 4.3 for DHD. So I just used an miui port with a few features of 4.3.This has been released only for testers cause I wanted test feedbacks. It's more of a kernel problem I face on the source port so decided to use the 4.2.2 kernel.
So to answer your question, I need feedbacks of the ROM , FCs, ANRs whatever...because I need to be sure that a few features are compatible with the existing kernel.
The 4.3 features are not ui changes just to answer future questions. It includes a few low level changes. For example the new OpenGl , a few bluetooth mods.
I believe many would have the question "Why a port when there is an official ROM?"
The answer is I'm working on a source build of 4.3 for DHD. I have created an miui port with a few features of 4.3.
This has been released only for testers cause I wanted test feedbacks. My bad that I didn't mention it on the OP .

So what you need to do is send feedback regarding any issues you face. preferably a logcat.

Always great to see new ROMs showing up! In the past I tried using miui and kind of liked it but the lag and choppiness on the OS made me return to CM 4.2.2. The question is, how is this ROM on those aspects? Good luck on 4.3 development, its makes my eye water every time I see people showing love for DHD

i think he's talking about the option in settings somewhere, called show screenshot info, I've noticed it myself a few times I've used MIUI, but I can't recall where exactly it is.It's an option for sure, not the screenshot button on the toggles.
You can find it in settings-status bar..i'm using cm10.1 now..i cant send a screenshot to tell you where is the "show screenshot info" what i mean..
