Hi,

Hi bro the software that are u using are just useless I also tried for the same concept in my pc wifi card. After a number of days hard work and googling all things I was just unable to create a adhoc network in pc wifi card.
So please don't try his for pc wifi card but I want to mention one thing here a trick was there for laptops and many users comments there that they was able to create adhoc network in laptop.
So here are the steps in windows 7
1 go to network sharing centre
2 click on create a network
3 select last one adhoc network
4 enter network name and key if u want
5 now all set u cab check a network named icon in ir available network list.
May this can work for u bro
Hit thanks if I help you

Did you add the mac-address of your Sensation to the MAC -table of the router as "allowed'?

No,because the routers is beyond my control. I'm sure that wifi is ok and i can access the webpage by another device without doing anything. Certainly i need to input the password.
And thank you for your reply.

its a router issue....plz disable DHCP on router ... then use NAT and put a seprate static ip for sensation... this happens if u use automatic ip config by ur ISP....nothing wrong with the fone...my frnd had same issue and i configured his router from here via team viewer and now it rocks.... get router configured...

I'm amazed at your knowledge of wireless technologies but please explain me why is it a router issue if 2 of my laptops, 2 towers and 2 of my phones (along with multiple guests' phones) have no problem accessing content on my wireless network but my Sensation throws a fit every time it's I try to connect?
Thank you in advance.

well all the routers have config options..... they transmit wireless in a particular ip range depending upon the configuration... ur devices have enrolled themselves on all possible empty slots in ip range and sensation is not able to coz it must b out of the ip range now...possibly u must have used many wireless devices but even after u disable them the temp ip auto assigned stays... so except for new devices old ones will never have problem.... jst disable dhcp in config page of router and enable nat.....if it does nt work add me on gtalk [email protected] and i'll configure ur router via team viewer....

[Q] solved - connect with wifi dongle to pc internet connection

how can i do that? thx
Do you mean you want your phone to share its internet via wifi tethering?
Sent from my SNES
no, i mean access internet from pc, via wireless usb dongle
Might want to be a bit more specific there. From what you're saying, it sounds like you're trying to do what bedalus said.
If what you mean is that you want to access your wired internet service wirelessly to your phone, you're going to need to pick up a wireless router or something.

The second part is true, i want to access the wired internet service and i have an wireless usb dongle(adaptor), also i want to share files with pc wireless.
What PS do u have? With Windows 7 you can create an ad-hoc under network sharing center -> set Up a Connection or Network -> Set up a wireless ad hockey (computer-to-computer) network. Then you can just follow the instructions on the pc

Yes you are right. Nexus s does not support ad hoc. I am sorry, I did not know that. This is weird even iDevices support it.
You can try ZT180 adhoc switcher from the market. But I cannot guarantee it will work. Because I have not tried it by myself.
Another option is using Connectify from windows 7 PC. I don't know about apple PCs. But connectify can turn your windows 7 PC into a real access point router. Not just a ad-hoc.
Well the last option is get a wifi router. What internet do you use? I am sure you can have a wifi router for all internet connections. NO matter you have ADSL, Broadband(Ethernet? I don't really know how to call it) even 3g or 4g connection can be wifi-routered! You just need to pick a correct device since NS does not support ad-hoc.

I found connectify and it works great. Thank you!
That is great! Enjoy your nexus s!

Under "Password" field in Connectify , you have an option "Internet". There you can select your internet connection to share. Hope that works!
I mean i select the win7 default connection " Local Area Connection", and set it to shared, but the Connectify connection (access point) doesn't have network access, i don't know why, i tried almost 10 times, it just doesn't work.

Update: I think i solved it, i just turn off the firewall of ESET and windows, and it works fine, thank u guys

Now whenever I try connect using connectify to make a wireless hotspot it does create a hotspot, but on my android handset I can't find any wifi network in range. Pls suggest a way to reverse tether my phone with my pc without the need of rooting the phone. I am currently using a Android v4.0.I am using internet through a USB Data Card.
Thanx All.

your going to have to root it to be able to tether pc to your phone or phone to pc.
use "pda net+" for usb theathring wifi hot spot as wel as bluetooth theathring.
There's another app called FoxFi that claims to handle wifi tether w/out root. But I've never used it ,and i'm not sure if it works to tether in either direction, but worth a quick look .... (can't post a link cuz i'm not >10 posts yet)

Clockworkmod Tether to use on multiple devices

When i connect my computer it works but i was wondering if i can make my Windows 10 laptop to share connection somehow for more devices, it is not showing in my hotspot on my laptop.

Go to network settings in Windows, find the option to create a new network, then choose to create an ad-hoc network, configure its settings the way you want, click ok. Then see if it is broadcasting a Wifi signal.
