My device is now s-on, and can't boot into system(system partition must have been erased by my stupid behavior). It's stuck at the splash screen and then reboot, repeating this process endlessly.
Now it can boot into bootloader and recovery, but can't install pg58img.zip(it said "wrong image or no image") or any third party rom.
Information of the bootloader is listed as follows:
***unlocked***
pyramid pvt ship s-on rl
hboot-1.23.0000
radio-11.19.3504.29.2
……
My phone has already got supercid 11111111, Asia Pacific version.
Some fastboot command can be executed, but can't erase or change system partition.

Since PG58IMG.zip and recovery can't solve the problem, i decide to try official ruu. So which version of ruu should try? Europe? Asia WWE? Or anything else?
While i falshed some ruu, Error 155 occured. What does this error mean? Does it mean the district of the ruu is wrong? Or the version is too low?
Please help me and i can't send it to official custom services because it was not supposed to be distributed in my country. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.
I would try any Pyramid_LE RUU, just to see if you can get it back running. Once you have it working (even in english) you can then do a lot more move forward.
Google "RUU_Pyramid_LE_HTC_Europe_1.73.401.4_Radio_10.58.9035.00U_10.15.9035.02_2_release_220036_signed" for a download site, the link on this site to Filefactory is crap (they are going down the toilet).

Thank you for advice. I have tried the method you mentioned. It still stopped because of error 155
The official answer it 155 is
ERROR [155~159]: IMAGE ERROR
One of these error messages will appear when you use the incorrect RUU to update and the image file size is larger than the Flash ROM size. In this case, download the correct RUU version and try again
Is yours an XE or standard Sensation?
ther is a thread for shiped ruu in android development section.

Mine is standard sensation. And i'm sure it's asia pacefic version. Even though i flash the corresponding ruu, error 155 still occured
try new firmware for the phone model you have, replace that before you start the RUU stuff

I think your issue is S-ON. I read in another post that if you have S-ON you can flash RUUs that are newer than your base, but you cant flash older ones than what it thinks you have currently have.
That's exactly it, you first need an older HBOOT to flash an older RUU
As i saw there is no thread for the Desire-S to say how to restore the stock CID.
My CID was HTC__N34 and after been S-OFFed by XTC CLIP my CID became from stock HTC__N34 to SuperCID 11111111
The bad thing on that is that i can not receive any OTA since then
Reading from other theads i did the command:
fastboot oem writecid HTC__N34
And i get the following error
c:\SAGA\SAGA>fastboot oem writecid HTC__N34
... INFO[ERR] Command error !!!
OKAY
Is there a different command??
Using fastboot getvar all i get:
c:\SAGA\SAGA>fastboot getvar all

How bout RUU. Have you tried it?
I believe if your XTC-S-OFF, your hboot is unrewritable/unchangeable, right? I'm thinking your hboot might be the one whose preventing CID modification. But then again, i haven't proven if your CID will change based from the build.prop of a ROM. I maybe at lost here.
Sent from my HTC Desire S using xda app-developers app
I flashed many desire s RUUs but just flashes the rom and the according hboot without changing anything on the CID.I tried also using the fastboot commands on both ENG (0.98.2002 & 2.00.2002) hboots but with no luck.
Is there any option using adb to try.?
Sent from my HTC Desire S
No idea.
All gates should be open regarding your situation. S-OFF with ENG hboot. Now this must be somewhat of a security that XTC-Clip have placed on the phone. Im gonna try changing mine, htc-dev unlocked with 2.0 hboot. Im gonna try using a terminal emulator. Dont have a pc yet. Will it work? Let me see.

Hhmm. Just noticed that its fastboot. Couldn't help you there buddy.

I've found out that cid is stored in a number off different partitions (/dev/block/mmcblk0p*). I accidentally erased 23, which then led me on a hunt to try and fix things up.
Cid is stored, at least, in partitions 7, 17, and 23.
Install Hex Editor from Play and search those (and others) partitions for your current cid and replace it with your old cid.
Warning: you are doing some pretty low level changes here, which if done incorrectly can cause serious problems. I would suggest you back up a partition before you start changing it. I take no responsibility for what happens.
Here are two shell scripts that will take a copy of a partition and write a partition.
Dump partitions: http://db.tt/GuFscLrT
Write partition: http://db.tt/9Z2cn2Tm

I want to try this out.
I hope it will work.

More stuff. Hboots don't all have the same set of oem functions. To find out which one yours support, enter "fastboot oem h" (edit: not "help"). I have yet to come across an hboot that will allow you effectively overwrite the cid.
When you say you don't get OTA updates, do you mean you get nothing when you go into /settings/about phone/system updates or you get the OTA but it doesn't install?
For me, the OTA that installed hboot 2.00.002 was the latest OTA, so there have been no other ones release.
Sent from my Desire S
It doesn't even find the OTA.
I'll try tomorrow and see what happens.
Thanks a lot again!!

How do you know that there's an OTA update available?
Sent from my Desire S
If you flash the stock shipped Rom in my case 1.28.401.1 it had to find as before OTA 1.47.401.4 .and then the 2.10.401.8 but now after supercid it doesn't.
Sent from my HTC One X
Ta. That makes sense. By the way, you haven't installed a custom recovery like CWM or 4EXT, right? Otherwise the OTA won't install.
Sent from my Desire S
Using the command:
fastboot oem changeCid HTC__N34
The cid changed from 11111111 to HTC__N34
Why still i can not find OTA.??
Sent from my HTC Desire S
Type *#*#2432546#*#* in dialer and check again
Still no OTA.!!!
Flashed stock 1.47.401.4 RUU then *#*#checkin#*#* went to settings ,checked for updates couple of times and still nothing..
Did HTC stopped the OTAs for DESIRE-S cause of the upcoming ics OTA.?
Is that possible.?

You are actually S-ON, that means you can only flash a RUU of same version as installed or a newer one + you need an RUU specific to your CID. I'm gonna try finding a fitting RUU.

What exactly is your device model? (Sensation/Sensation XE)
In your signature you have this model:
Code:
HTC J One (HTL22) (rooted)
4.2.2 Jellybean with HTC Sense freezed and Apex launcher
Are you S-On/S-Off?
If you have not the right RUU we could help you find it.But first try to give fastboot getvar all command and copy-paste what it prints (Remember to hide your IMEI and device serial number before you upload them here)
You can download the latest Europe RUU for Pyramid from here:

You can check here and download the right RUU if this does not match with your cid.

Thank you

Anyway thanks very much for help and suggestions.
Can you use the command fastboot reboot-bootloader to get into bootloader from RUU mode?
I think you have try to install 3.33.401.6 (for my opinion EUROPE) package.Try again with the RUU I gave you in the previous post.If it does nothing for you try to install an official Sensation XE RUU.But as long as you are S-OFF and SuperCID user you shouldn't have some problem to install any RUU even if it brick your device.
You told you have a Sensation XE.So the official RUU for a XE device is a PYRAMID_LE.
You can download the latest EUROPE version from here:
RUU_PYRAMID_LE_ICS_35_S_HTC_Europe_3.33.401.153_Radio_11.76A.3504.00U_11.24A.3504.31_M_release_281004_signed.exe

You are right.I know this may be mistaken but as long as he is s-off and supercid he can flash any RUU he wan'ts.By the way he told by himself he has a Sensation XE device.Anyway I think Sensation RUU's are working with Sensation XE devices so I supposed he had just flashed a wrong RUU to try it to his device.
