Same error =/

If you are using windows 8, you will have to disable driver signature enforcement before you can install fastboot driver.

Nope..using windows 7 32bit..

Ok. Did you install adb drivers first, and able to use update service? You should run update service at least once just to make it install flashmode drivers, then it will recognize fastboot driver.

Can pc companion detect the phone? If it does, just check pc companion - repair again. If not, check if your mtp driver is installed

Its very important to check usb debugging
Before anything make sure that all LG Drivers and everything Installed and run under Windows 7 if you run Windows 8 you should to disable driver signature enforcement windows 8 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2337545
or Such as drastic00 Check step 1 and if you have Windows 8 check that also
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=39269819
lg debugging is checked, unkown sources also. drastic00 answer helped. Thank you. But still in device manager there is (!) next to android composite ADB interface. What can I do about that?
I never noticed that and don't know what it is. As long as you have the other 3 drivers you should be good for using LG Flash Tool, Fastboot or whatever software for flashing .bin, .fls, .kdz and recoveries. I have not used LG Update tool in a while. When LG released their official ICS it was bricking some devices; seems it is not very reliable.
you should run under Windows 7 as administrator

have you tried Ubuntu??
windows sometimes has a lot of problem.
If you've got a driver installed that works fine you can use Device Manager in Windows. Connect your phone, find it in the list, choose update driver, and the option that lets you choose a driver from the list. Select the driver that works (mine is called MyHTC) and it should install. You need to repeat this for eachc of the three states (adb in Android, fastboot, and adb in Recovery)

Best way to install adb and fastboot after toolkit?

I was using wugs toolkit and this brought adb, fastboot and drivers. Now I would like to use adb and fastboot independent from the toolkit. I guess drivers stay the same, but what is the best way to install fastboot and adb systemwide, without having to install the full sdk?

I, personally, would use the SDK to get everything on your PC. At least then you've got all the files
After that, follow this guide:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1161776
After that, you can use adb/fastboot from any location
Please go to my "adb and fastboot" thread which you can get to via "guides and info threads" link in my signature. This will give you naked drivers and 15 second adb and fastboot installer. Quickest and easiest method IMHO

@Lownita just use it for adb and fastboot. In my thread there is a separate link for drivera
@rootSU I'll try! Well, does the device have to be connected to the PC while installing any of those? I guess not? (Ofc drivers install themselves when phones gets connected afterwards).

Yeah needs to be connected because you need to right click the device in device manager. Just connect it in recovery or bootloader depending which one you're most likely to use most.

[solved] adb not recognising phone in fastboot(download) mode

Hello All
I have had to reinstall stock(sm-g930f) due to an own stupid(again) mistake.
The OS is reinstalled and working and now I would like to flash Magisk through ADB. ADB recognises the phone by "adb devices" when in normal mode. When in fastboot (download mode) it does not recognise the phone. All it states is: List of devices attached
Can someone help me to overcome this, or if you have another suggestion to flash Magisk?
Edit:
after searching for a long time I read somewhere:
Do not put phone in download(fastboot) mode, only in charging mode when connected to the PC's motherboard USB port. Works flawless since, with having the relevant ADB drivers installed.
Adb is adb.
Fastboot is fastboot.
For adb, you need adb binaries.
For fastboot, you need fastboot binaries.
I have downloaded these and and haven't had any luck. Is there a detail how-to somewhere?

Probably because you didn't have drivers installed.
You need to find the specific drivers for your device model and install it.
Good luck.

Did you really try to find ?
Here is the download for samsung usb drivers: https://developer.samsung.com/mobile/android-usb-driver.html
Install it and reboot.
If it doesn't work, probably you have any problem in your device manager.
I'm an user linux and I hate windows.
Good luck google'ing it.
Im having the same problem. i don't want to use the adb setup thing becuase its a virus so yeah.

Windows 10 won't recognize my Xperia XZ1 Compact in fastboot mode

Hello,
I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask but when I start my Xperia XZ1 Compact (G8441) in fastboot mode, it shows up in Windows 10 device manager with a question mark next to it. I tried updating to the driver from Sony but I get the following error:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
I'm following this article for updating the driver:
https://www.sony-asia.com/electronics/support/articles/SX278901
And this one for unlocking the bootloader:
How to Unlock Bootloader of Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact (G8441, SO-02K) Easily [Simple Steps] | Android Biits
Steps to unlock bootloader of Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact (G8441, SO-02K) without hurdles. Dear folks, you have to download Platform tools for unlocking G8441.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
Both ADB and Fastboot drivers aren't enough: You have to install the "Android USB Driver" what is at 100% suitable to your Xperia device, too.
Download Sony Xperia USB Driver for Windows (Latest Driver)
Download the latest and original Sony Xperia USB Driver to connect any Sony Xperia Smartphone and Tablets to the Windows Computer quickly.
androidmtk.com
I have installed the drivers from my manufacturer, and I also tried generic USB Android drivers, but resulting in the error message from the screenshot above.
I was able to get it to work after using this tool:

I should add that I uninstalled the Xperia Companion app as well, so that might have had something to do with it.
