Its very important to check usb debugging
Before anything make sure that all LG Drivers and everything Installed and run under Windows 7 if you run Windows 8 you should to disable driver signature enforcement windows 8 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2337545
or Such as drastic00 Check step 1 and if you have Windows 8 check that also
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=39269819

lg debugging is checked, unkown sources also. drastic00 answer helped. Thank you. But still in device manager there is (!) next to android composite ADB interface. What can I do about that?

I never noticed that and don't know what it is. As long as you have the other 3 drivers you should be good for using LG Flash Tool, Fastboot or whatever software for flashing .bin, .fls, .kdz and recoveries. I have not used LG Update tool in a while. When LG released their official ICS it was bricking some devices; seems it is not very reliable.

you should run under Windows 7 as administrator

Can't flash my HTC Polaris with Windows 7 64bit

I have been trying to flash my HTC polaris with the updated HTC 6.1 Rom and it is not possible. It would seem that Windows 7 64 drops the connection with the phone when it goes into Boot mode and it does not recognize it.
I am using Windows 7 and Windows Mobile device center. This is what happens, I connect my Polaris with the USB cable It connects and syncs. Then I run the HTC ROM flashing program I click through all the questions and get to the point where I accept flashing my ROM once I do this my Polaris goes into ROM flashing mode showing the red green and blue screen. Then I hear Windows sound as if I had unplugged the device the computer screen shoes the progress bar but nothing happens and then it gives me a message saying Error 260 and tells me to check the connection.
I tried running hard SPL first but it gives me a similar problem when I get the message to unplug the USB cable.
When I check the device manager this is what I get:

Bump
Please help me out
You should really ask this in the Polaris subforum if you want help, not the General subforum. Though it sounds like you need to install the proper drivers for your device. I'd try putting it in the bootloader, hooking it up via USB, and attempting to get the driver from Windows Update (with the Update Driver function). I've flashed my Kaiser and Rhodium on Win7 64-bit and haven't run into any problems, and the situation seems like it's a driver issue.
Have you tried on win XP? in case you have any...
You'll need to downgrade your usb drivers using this guide

This looks like it would take care of, are there any drawbacks about downgrading?
Am I better off just finding a computer with windows xp?

[Q] Urgent Help

Hi Guys,
Have literally spent 8 hours trying to fix this damn phone, it's my mothers which needs a complete wipe using the stock rom. Even my younger brother had a go for a week and has been passed on to me. Not touched an Android phone in about two years so very rusty with the whole roms and flashing etc.
The main issue is I can't get Windows 8.1 to see the phone in USB wether it be plugged directly in Android, USB debug, bootloader or Fastboot USB. I have installed ADB with all the drivers, tried multiple HTC drivers and HTC Sync, PDAnet, AMD chipset drivers, USB controller drivers, random drivers from here on XDA as well as a multitude of other sites. Tried USB 3.0 and 2.0 (front and back slots).
How am I supposed to flash a custom recovery without the computer seeing the phone? If I can just get that sorted I am pretty much set with getting the stock rom on there and the rest. Not sure what my brother has put on it or if he has flashed a custom rom or changed the radio/boot because I have no clue what the phone is supposed to be running.
Please some help here, don't really want to be spending more time on this.

I'm not sure how to help you, because i don't even know, if your phone boots to OS or not.
There are some apps out like flashify or TWRP Manager which should be able to flash a recovery from OS, but i never used that tools and don't know, if they work with One SV.
You should really get your fastboot working. I don't have windows 8(.1), but there are many threads here on xda about that.
Other solution could be to search for someone with a windows 7 pc.

Yes the phone does boot into the OS but again is not properly recognized, PDAnet and HTC Sync find the phone but doesn't show up or in ADB. I have checked well over 30 threads on here regarding Windows 8.1, downloading various tools and drivers etc without success.
Will check out those links.
Thanks.

have you tried Ubuntu??
windows sometimes has a lot of problem.
If you've got a driver installed that works fine you can use Device Manager in Windows. Connect your phone, find it in the list, choose update driver, and the option that lets you choose a driver from the list. Select the driver that works (mine is called MyHTC) and it should install. You need to repeat this for eachc of the three states (adb in Android, fastboot, and adb in Recovery)

This phone is annoying, **** LG and locked bootloader
Do you installed the lg UP driver for SD810? You can find this in another forum(they called it only sd810 driver, but is not, this is a driver for LGUP and this is something different from normal drivers for our phone.
I don't know where, but I read you should use USB2 port to.
Yes i install SD810 drivers
Try to reinstall LGMobileDriver_WHQL_Ver_4.0.4.exe.
If you have installed LGUnitedMobileDriver_S4981MAN37AP22_ML_WHQL_Ver_3.8.1, uninstall it.

Worked for me, too, with my H811 T-mobile LG G4
Sent from my SM-G935T using XDA-Developers mobile app
Same was the problem with me but finally I figure out the solution...
Step 1..... Make a new folder by the name common in model folder.
Step 2....rename the file name Blabla.dll which you downloaded to LGUP_common.dll.
Step 3... Paste the dll file to common folder.
Thanks and be safe.
Hey guys i have the same issue with my LG G4, I been doing the instructions in the comments but nothing seems to work. I been using Flashtools14 and LG up. With lg flash tools it stops at 9%, and with LGup doesnt recognize my device shows as "UNKNOWN" does anybody still have this issue ?!

Can't find working drivers for adb

Guys I am getting desperate here. I hate crying in the forums for help, but that's why they are here. I am sorry but here I am to whine about the problem that I am facing whole day.
I tried with OP, Samsung, Xiaomi, Google USB drivers. Nothing so far works. I tried many options but I can' make the Windows to recognize the phone after getting into BL. Windows 11, tried all my USB ports (I have only 3), no success. Pushed even Googles driver files manualy from the Device manager and I chose the BL option of the driver, that didn't work, then I tried the rest of the 3 options of the driver, that didn't work either.
I followed this metod as well - https://www.droidwin.com/how-to-install-fastboot-drivers-in-windows-11/
The only thing that has left as an option is the lack of USB 2.0. If this is the problem I am gonna throw up...
Any help or suggestion would be highly appreciated.

i could be way off base here but your in fastboot so the CMD should be "fastboot devices". Your screen looks no dif then mine
Are the drivers installed correctly, ie with admin rights, and if so, is the help in the link that works, but requires more time and effort. With that guide, I will install the win 11 and win 10 drivers myself.
How to Disable Driver Signature Verification on 64-Bit Windows 8 or 10 (So That You Can Install Unsigned Drivers)
64-bit versions of Windows 10 and 8 include a “driver signature enforcement” feature. They’ll only load drivers that have been signed by Microsoft. To install less-than-official drivers, old unsigned drivers, or drivers you’re developing yourself, you’ll need to disable driver signature enforcement.
