Step 7
Launch the "UpTestEX_mod2_marwin.exe" file
Change the product type located under the LG Electronics logo to "3GQCT"
Change the PhoneMode to "EMERGENCY"
Navigate to your .kdz file in the "Select kdz file" box
Click "Normal web upgrade test" at the bottom
Click "Upgrade Start" on the pop up screen
On the "Select Country & Language" box, click "Clear phone Software udpate Registry"
Change "Country" to "Different Country"
Change "Language" to your language
Click OK
my R&D test tool doesn't have any select country & language box,also when I click upgrade start, it shows some maintenance error/warning

Did u follow all the steps including changing the hosts file and changing the port to 9002 in the http server? AND A PEACE OF ADVICE USE LG FLASH TOOL TO FLASH SYSTEM ITS ALOT EASIER just download the system in bin/fls and follow the flashing tutorial.

yes, if you mean changing port 80 to 9002, I did, because couldn't find any other PORTs there.
Did also use flashtool, but with flash tool I got problem with OMAP4430 constantly connecting and disconnecting, not allowing it to browse and install driver for it (device manager)
/ another issue, if I ignore that OMAP4430 and just carry on step by step, change port to 41 for CDMA and open LGFlashTool.exe for , it just wont open, tried even on xp sp3, still nothing... it's 1.1 version.
^^^^^ scratch that, works now with 1.2 version
now have a question, If I have 170mb kdz for 21e, can I use it in FlashTool? Because to download BIN_LGP920AT-00-V21e-EUR-XXX-Apr-19-2012 , it's gonna be another hour, because where file was uploaded, download speed is so slow...........

eventually, I used smart flash with 21e AP and CP and it flashes successfully
P.S. I do put back battery when flashing starts, otherwise ,it restarts at partition part!!!

Can't recover IMEI using Tutty/Putty/Hyperterminal

Hi there!
I bricked my p920 a week ago while trying to flash the ported 3D-ICS rom from xbsall. I don't really know what I did wrong, but somehow I destroyed my bootloader.
However, using the "p920 resurrection guide" (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1942836), I was able to boot my phone again and to restore my nandroid backup, so that I'm back to stock-GB now (rooted, CWM installed).
Everything works fine, except that my phone does not find any network and has no IMEI anymore (yes, I know, these two symptoms are connected )
I tried to recover my IMEI using this guide here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1734330), but I always get stuck at point 9 of the instructions (trying to type in the original IMEI using Tutty).
So far, everything goes according to the guide. I connected Tutty with my phone using COM-port 3 (the only port available in Tutty) and when I type "AT" in Tutty, the expected "OK" comes as a response.
But when I try to type "at%imei", the only response I get is "ERROR" and no dummy-IMEI shows up.
By accident I also typed "atimei" one time, the response I got was "56000 56000 OK".
...later today I'll add a screenshot with my latest Tutty-session...

So, what am I doing wrong? So far I tried all that with two different Win7(64bit) PCs and via a virtual PC running on WinXP (32bit). All drivers for my phone, Omap and Infineon are installed (Edit: at my last try yesterday, the Infineon-driver didn't seem to work. After starting CP-download mode my PC gave an error, stating it wasn't able to install drivers.)
I also tried to use Putty and Hyperterminal instead of Tutty, but with the exact same results.
Any ideas?

I was in the same boat as you but i flashed v10k kdz file with lg b2capp and my Imei was restored.

I fixed my problem.
Thanks for your suggestions about flashing a kdz, but I fixed it another way, because I wasn't able to find a functional download link for any kdz-file. o,O
So here is my solution:
I think my problem was, that I backed up my system with my original nandroid-backup too early.
I repeated the whole "resurrection guide"-procedure and let the V21E stock OS installed, in this OS I had no problems fixing my IMEI using Tutty,
Afterwards I then just booted into CWM and flashed my nandroid-backup from before this whole s**t.
I thank all of you on this wonderful forum, special thanks to all the devs for their life-saving guides!

[Q] Drivers won't install properly, PLEASE HELP

Hi. I'm having issues installing drivers, i've tried uninstalling them, reboot and install again, various versions... this is what i get...
And can't load lg support tool to download latest and right drivers. I really don't know what to do, i've downgrded from CM10 to v30a, and want to root o3d but drivers are givig me the hard time... Someone pls help ASAP

Its very important to check usb debugging
Before anything make sure that all LG Drivers and everything Installed and run under Windows 7 if you run Windows 8 you should to disable driver signature enforcement windows 8 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2337545

I never noticed that and don't know what it is. As long as you have the other 3 drivers you should be good for using LG Flash Tool, Fastboot or whatever software for flashing .bin, .fls, .kdz and recoveries. I have not used LG Update tool in a while. When LG released their official ICS it was bricking some devices; seems it is not very reliable.

try to change usb port and usb cable before that try to make hard rest for phone or install driver manual or from Windows update
or Probably USB socket in the phone some thing wrong in it

LG MEID Changer (work well for V20)

I tried a lot of methods for fix my MEID but any tools like QPST/CDMA DFS/CDMA WORKSHOP all doesn't work.
Until I found this little tool, it work fine for my LG V20.

(Notice: The new one just type in DEC but not HEX, even it says "Write Hex MEID", I think this is a bug lol)

Thanks a lot. I dropped my v20 and it turned itself off. After powering it back on, I had no mobile network connection and my imei was reported as null. Running this program and connecting, disconnecting then restarting my handset was enough to fix the issue without even having to enter my imei in the box. Thanks a million.

I used this little gem alot around 2006 2007 changes meid on cdma lg devices like a charm!!!

somethings wrong with bootloader mode

hi guys, i unlocked my oneplus6 phone after that i used autoroot in toolAllinOne..all good, i instaled magisk apk and tryed to install but it says always failled. But that is not the problem, the problem is now when the phone is opened the program recognize abd device and model but when i go in bootloader it recognize abd device but model not anymore. the drivers i thing are installed well because abd is detected. Anyone know why model is not detected? I cannot install .img file for twrp.
P.S. the phone works well and it have stock software.

How?
I could not even find my device when i use fastboot devices command in fast boot mode. Because of this i could not flash twrp also.
I installed drivers and connected the phone in all sorts of modes (usb debugged, usb undebugged, fastboot, system on, switch off mode).
When the phone is connected in switch off mode, i could see something like "usb device not found" message in pc. Tried changing desktop. But it's the same result.
I'm unlocked and on stock open beta 4 pie.
