I have many occasions where the touch screen doesn't response correctly, a reboot usually fix it.
Last night, when I plugged in my charger, the touch screen was jumping around, and I couldn't even unlock it.
Then I unplugged it, everything works perfect.
Then I plugged it again, it's jumping around.
Tried few times, the problem was reproducible.
Anyone got any problem with the touch screen?
Are you rooted?
yes, rooted stock

When this happens just reboot your phone
Guys i am using this phone from past 2 months and no problem whatso ever but since past 2 days its bugging a lot......when ever i connect my phone to a charger or USB then it works perfectly but the moment i unplug the charges the screen turns unresponsive and starts to lag...i tried restore factory settings but was of no help....!! please help as soon as possible!!!
I have the same behaviour here.
The phone is a Yoigo i9103 with 2.3.4 Android
I dont remember the factory kernel version.
The screen is irresponsive sometimes, slow and phantom most of the time. i can't hold touch (like when move a desktop icon or scroll a list) for more than 3 seconds, the screen acts as if I have removed my finger.
I reset to factory defaults and installed a 2.6.36.4-ardatdat kernel (V.1.5) and it have been working nice for a few days. Now its working bad again.
I have done factory reset again, removed screen protector (perhaps static issue), wipe cache, wipe davik, wipe battery stats, remove sd card and nothing.
When I plug the cable (from charger or from USB) it works smooth again instantly.
I tested with 456MHz max, 216MHz min governor interactive with the cable pluged and it works fine. Screen is smooth and response is fast and accurate.
Do again with 1000MHz max, 216MHzmin governor performance without cable and its irresponsive again.
So, I think its not a CPU work issue.
Question for people who know about capacitive screens or smart people in general
Could be something like the screen have static charge and when the cable is plugged the phone is well grounding, so it works fine again??
Sorry for my english
It might have to do with the voltages....
Herpderp Defy.
@ Romwe
It could be what you are saying but there could be many other factors at play other than that also.
We can't be sure if grounding is actually helping in reducing it by passing the static charge through the ground thereby increasing responsiveness, though its certainly possible.
I would suggest you to take it to the service center as they would simply change the motherboard or the screen.
Do update here whatever you do.
Ok. Ill do
This morning i plugged the phone to the car charger, its not a samsung's one its from an old blackberry, when i take the phone again, about 1h20', the screen was black and the phone does not respond.
Did a reset ( 7'' power button ) and the phone works again.
Now the interesting part: i have unplugged it about 1 hour ago and the phone still thinks its charging...
The battery reads 84% now, 3970mV and status charging
The screen is smooth and fast as when the phone is plugged.
This things are freaking me out :what:
Ill do a battery reset later.

maybe its a micro usb port problem... I'm facing some unresponsiveness while charging, and when unplug my phone my screen sometimes make to fail the long press, and can't make long press touch for example like keeping the status bar in the middle... I solve it by blocking the screen and turning it back on. It always has been like this from day 1, so I think that's a bug that i should to bear with.
There's something definitely wrong with the hardware now that its showing wrong status of being charged when the charger is not even connected.
I feel the screen could be just fine as it is working fine when the system feels/judges its connected to a power source even though when it is not. There could be something wrong with the motherboard or as George said it could be the micro USB which is faulty.
If you take it to a service center I think these guys will simply flip your motherboard for a new one.

Go to service center because it is probably a hardware problem.

When plugged u set to governer interactive and unplugged it is governer performance? I feel thats the issue. Set it to interactive for unplugged as well. Plus make sure ur voltages are not UV more than 25mV. Wipe battery stats once fully charged.
If nothing helps, then its surely h/w issue.

Well even i had the same problem.....but on a very temporarily basis..
i.e. the problems starts by its own and gets resolved by its own...it happens only for a few minutes....
I wonder how others are facing it for a longer period of time.

I have this problem too with my phone.
But I have found some sort of "fix" for it, though it doesn't seem to last very long.
When I get these problems I use a semi-wet wooden toothpick and cleans the chargerport (microUSB port). And after that it seems to work better.
My guess is that the system seems to recognise some sort of charge-trigger and that may interrupt the touchinput-sequence.
This is only my own thoughts and experience but it seems to work for me, soo I figured I could share it with all of you!
Cheers!

I could have found a solution:
It seems the problem is all related to dirt in the microUSB-port.
I cleaned the port very much, and made sure it was clean even in the tight area between "ground" and the "stick" where the power comes from.
I used a small piece of standard writingpaper and folded it once and stuck it between ground and the "powerstick". I also used a thin knife, like a razorblade to get it clean.
But now it seems all problem I had has disappeared!
Hope it helps others
I never had such problems ;-)

This was sent from a Galaxy Ace. Problem?
Hi gurus,
Updated the OTA patch today from ASUS. worked fine but got discharged while my son was playing with it. charged it and then tried to start it. It just won't boot. Starts vibrating which will not stop. Nothing on the screen. Pressing on Power button for about 10 seconds will stop it for a moment but will start again to vibrate after a short pause.
Tried the manual reset button, same result. Finally, pressed the power and Volume up button for 10 seconds which has atleast made it stop vibrating but is still dead. Tried to restart and same behaviour.
Has anyone seen this on infinity before? Have had it for 9 months and never been a problem.
Thanks in advance for your help.
Maybe a HDMI connection might let you see whats happening if its related to the display not working.
I am having the same problem. it vibrates..stop for 1 sec..then vibrates again and that's all..always black screen!! i think the problem (in my case) is my screen + digitizer coz my computer can recognize it as storage!
Yes my problem is the screen! i bought a micro HDMI to HDMI cable and everything works like a charm! The screen brightness works but no image at all!
Screenshots:http://db.tt/aBg7IXKd
Tried to charge it fully but to no avail.
still keeps just vibrating.
I work with leicesteruk (small world and why is he not using CROMi-X!?) and I think this is hard bricked! Device will not power on other than it vibrates once then on the second vibrate that normally signifies boot loader load it jus continuously vibrates and does nothing else. No screen, nothing.
We have tried various volume held down options and nothing works including reset hole and letting the battery drain. It still charges but just goes into continuously vibrating with no screen.
The only thing it will accept is power down plus volume down stops the vibrating after 20 secs if held down.
I have advised to RMA.
wow, that's extremely hard luck right after an update.
Was your tablet rooted, and were you using OTA root keeper?

No it was completely stock. Just a regular OTA. Note the device died whilst in use after the OTA had been applied the day before.

any solution for hard brick / apx mode only that doesn't involve replacing motherboard ?
I confronted a weird problem. Before this problem started, my nexus 5's screen was flickering. I researched and the flex cable was the reason of problem. I replaced it with a new one. Screen flicker fixed, but now i have a new problem. Whenever I charged the phone fully, and plug it out screen freezes and sometimes it reboots itself. Always this problem occurs when charge is over %60. However, when it is under %60 everything works as new. And when I plug in charge, it also freezes for a while. Is it battery problem (i change to new battery and problem did not fixed) or its power controller, or bad rom (i use fully stock marshmallow 6.0.1). Also i tried other chargers, same result. Cant find the solution on internet... Need your help
