HTC One SV? - HTC One SV

A really good friend just switched from iCrap to the One SV on Boost. I can't find any threads on that phone, but searches lead me here. Is this where he should start, or is there another set of threads I should guide him to?
Thanks in advance!

[Q] Thinking of buying the Samsung Galaxy Ace 2

Hello,
My HTC HD2 is letting me down at a lot of points. Therefore I'm thinking of buying a new handset.
I do a lot of internetting and multitasking on my phone. Therefore a dual-core processor is a must for me.
I've read up reviews of the handset and it seems to perform quite well.
What do you guys think, should I go for it or shouldn't I?
Also, if I don't like TouchWiz, is there a possibility to installing MIUI on it? I have that on my HTC HD2 right now and I love it.
Thanks!
Hey,
This should be in teh Samsung Galaxy Ace forum. That way, you will get advice from previous owners.
Alternatively, you could put it in the Device suggestions list written by KC.
You could PM a mod and he will help you with moving it.
Just some advice to get you going.
Thanks
Thanks for your reply.
Sorry for my late reply.
Got a HTC One S instead as you can see below, love it!
This topic can be solved/closed if it were me

[Q] HTC 8X Forum?

So I just got back from my AT&T store with a new HTC 8X, and came here looking for a forum for the device. I could not find one, after browsing and searching. If there's a forum for this device that I'm not finding, please point me in the direction.

would ne nice
Same here.
There's no forum for the Ativ either; only the Nokias get the special treatment, as we all know.
I'd like to see an 8X forum, if only to discuss how us non-Verizon folks can take ours apart and install wireless charging
Damn right! +1

The forums at wp central are pretty good, youn don't get all the WP bashing you get on XDA (there is still help and constructive criticism of the platform). I think XDA is an android forum now.

[Q] ATT One X+

I apologize in advance if this has been answered previously, but with the different variants of the One, I find it hard to determine if the one X+ ATT version has been successfully rooted and unlocked. I am seriously considering the phone, 64gb and quad core is nice but I currently use a jail broken iPhone for tethering and can not go without. If the above answers to root and unlock are 'no' then the next obvious question is: has anyone found a work around for the ATT HOX+ to tether without a carrier tether plan? The forum topic regarding the edit of the file requires root and appeared inconclusive for some. I also noticed in that thread that the users may have had a different variant like the One XL(?). Answers from ATT users would be most welcome. I've looked at Hansoon's root topic/thread but again the ATT variant has me spooked. Thanks again.
Google is your friend....but I'll be nice that phone can be unlocked/rooted...wouldn't it seem more understandable to post in the correct one x+ forum?
smh

How embarraskin'! I never realized the button on my XDA forums page was set to "Top Devices" and not "All" or "Newest Devices" so I couldn't find the forum for the One X+. Frankly, my experience for searches regarding XDA has always been more successful without Google and there really isn't too much on the One X+ on google just yet. But here...a wealth of info.
Thanks for the head slapping patience. I truly am an idiot and will direct my ignorance to that forum....
Yeah...I should be rooting phones....can't even root a plant.

No offense but there's more than enough info on google for a monkey to figure out how to root the one x+...can't tell if that comment was sarcastic or not
All google takes is...one x+ xda and you'll find everything....not that hard

HOX desk top dock

I have the Branded At&t HTC one x... Which I learned is also the "One XL" if I bought the desk top dock, you it work with my pogo pins?

I want one too. I'd like to know which and if it puts it in dock mode
Sent from the best d*** phone I've ever used
The one x and one xl are the same phone... At&t calls it the one x HTC calls it the one xl. Pogo pins are the same
Sent from my Calkulins HTC One XL using xda-developers app
Afaik there are no docks with pogopins that work for our phone. There are a billion threads about docks in the accessories forum.

The dimensions are actually different. Minor, I know, it could make the phone not fit correctly and cause the dock not to charge it for the pins are not lined up.
Dimensions of Internatiional: 134.36*mm (5.290*in)
69.9*mm (2.75*in)
8.9*mm (0.35*in)
Dimensions of ATT: 134.8*mm (5.31*in)
69.9*mm (2.75*in)
8.9*mm (0.35*in)
Megadoug13 not to be mean or anything, but almost every post you create has been answered dozens of times. I know it isnt fun searching and reading rather than just having everyone constantly hold your hand but seriously try searching it isnt that hard based on the threads you are creating everyday.
Based on the posts you might want to hold off on giving people information and answering questions until you do some more research and reading about our phone. Just stay in this forum and you will find all the answers to all the questions you have or will ever have about this phone.

Thats the post I meant to comment on sorry about the confusion. I just don't think anything you wrote above is correct sorry.
Whoa.... I have questions about SOFTWARE. NOT HARDWARE. I'll ask ALL OF THE QUEATIONS I WANT. I LIKE LEARNING. I'M NOT ASKING FOR "YOU" TO HOLD MY HAND. and yes. I am a flamer. You think I'll just flash anything I want? No I did that with my vivid and bricked it. Took me a week to figure out how to fix it. I'm not going back to that its this phone. So yeah I'm new to it. I AM GOING TO HAVE QUESTIONS. So if you honestly have a problem with the questions I ask in the "Q&A" form section.... I'M PRETTY SURE I HAVE A RIGHT TO ASK "QUESTIONS" or is that not used for that? Correct or incorrect?.

I said XL. XL is not international. At&t calls it the HTC one X, HTC calls it the HTC one XL, I was confused too but I did some research. And thank you for your effort any ways, it's still good to know about the international probably will get that before I get the one x plus
Sent from Megadoug13's nuclear device
It's for the HTC one xl... Xl does not mean international. There's two different docks. One that does through micro USB and one that goes through pogo pins. AT&T has the HTC One XL

Most XDA members are extremely patient. I need to work on my patience for 2013. I let most of the silly posts from people with English as a second or third language go. I have a hard time with people from the US who cant or don't want to use the search button. Pray for my impatient soul
Well, I'm just saying.... I do search. And when I don't find anything I ask. Even if I search and get different answers from searching I ask. That's not a bad thing now is it? I just want to be 100% sure I do everything right.

HTC One / Max - Good Support??

Coming over to Android from the darkside and have my eyes on the GS4, Note3, HTC One, and HTC One Max. Lots of debate between HTC and Samsung ... not sure which I really want yet but a bit concerned by posts I read regarding HTC not supporting their devices.
Has HTC been doing a good job of supporting the One?? Anybody have regrets with this model or why to stay away from the Max?

Also, I'm reading HTC is under financial distress ... if they go bankrupt, does that mean no more updates to the HTC One or Max?? Stuck on 4.2?
