I have an HTC Explorer A310e.
I have successfully unlocked the bootloader following HTC's web site instructions.
I have successfully flashed the ClockWorkMod Recovery image (recovery-clockwork-5.0.2.8-pico.img).
I have successfully installed SuperUser.zip.
I have downloaded and installed the app "Set CPU" from Google Play - which I've successfully used before on different phones.
I would now like to overclock the CPU on my HTC Explorer.
I understand I need to flash a custom kernel in order to overclock.
Are there any custom kernels that allow overclocking and that will run with the current (stock) Sense ROM that came with the phone?
Cheers
There is no real OC available for stock rom, there are 2 kernels with OC that worked with 3.5 sens , (search for 'cranium' and yannou's). BUT I don't think they will work with your odexed stock rom and also they are with fake OC. But I've always loved how yannou's kernel performed on GB, so give it a try

After succesfully flashing insert coin, I was checking the settings and stuff,, and when I came to the CPU Slider in the Rom Tool box it was set to 0 Mhz (?) I thought it was a bug so I downloaded AnTuTu CPU Master and there is it :
MAX : 192 MHz
MIN: 192 MHz ?
I cant change them can somebody help me ?
What release are you using? Does it come with stock or bricked kernel? Could be a glitch where oc apps aren't reading the stock kernel correctly

Pretty sure that's stock kernel so you can't overclock. You can flash bricked kernel but you'll lose some camera functionality

THNx anyway but i already put ARHD

You won't if you apply the camfix patch. My camera works spot on.

if you are soff then you can do it
processor will be at 1.5Ghz i think ..you need to verify it yourself (ive seen sensation rom on xe and the processor speed was 1.2Ghz there)
no problem you will have
ruu will do ..and if you favor custom rom ..then thats also fine

You can check it for example with the "System Tuner" App from the Market (Play Store). For setting it (among a lot of other things), I used this kernel that comes with an installer for generating an init-script. Probably it would be possible to set the parameters on a stock kernel, too.
In my ICS installation, I had to create the /system/etc/init.d directory myself and add a call to "/system/xbin/busybox run-parts /system/etc/init.d" in /system/etc/init.post-boot.sh in order to make the additional init-script work (must have busybox installed for that).
Can anyone provide me the 3.0 kernel for sense 4 which is not over clocked? Actually in jaggy desire v2 over clocked kernel is used and I had a nand burn and even though I fixed the nand but still some sense 4 based roms don't boot on my phone. I guess it is due to overclocked kernel because jaggy desire v2 booted on my phone when I used 2.6 kernel but not with the default overclocked kernel. Actually with 2.6 kernel usb doesn't work and there are other problems so I can't use it.
To make USB work on 2.6,you can use third party apps like multimount SD, root toolbox lite.
Or I have old links for kernel 3 for sense ~the one by cute prince.
Or you can try flashing the USB fix zip attached(all links in my signature )
The zip is not made for sense Rom. So, if you choose last method ,make a nandroid.

hello guys,
i can't figure out how to actually overclock my htc sensation. i installed SetCPU but it does not go further then 1,2 ghz. How do i set a higher CPU speed?
i rooted my htc sensation(regular version). i first did s-off with Juopunutbear and later i installed clockworkmod. I installed the custom rom Revolution Hd,
the special version for the htc sensation. I read on the internet that the speed would be set to 1,5Ghz as a standard but with mine it isnt:/.

depends of what kernel you installed when you were installing the rom.. if you installed stock kernel you can't overclock you have to flash custom kernel than you can overclock the up to 1,8 ghz ( some phones can take the 1,8 ghz others don't) i'm now overlocked to 1,7 ghz

the kernel from vipers 5.2.1 rom won't work in ARHD ROM because it is jb kernel
try sebastianFM's kernel 1.5.2(link in my signature)
As the title said I'm looking for a stock ROM (of course with radio and kernel) zip with sense 4.1 that can be flashed with custom recovery.
I actually have an European HTC one S with super CID and S-OFF.
