root your device then remove some apps
Ram booster? Ram manager? Speed booster? You should post it in Google Play's user's comment...
Do you really think those apps do anything? I have a hard time believing they do. I feel that typically the more apps you have running the more load on the phone.

My thoughts exactly

Download "no bloat" in playstore, uninstall crapware that came from provider, select system apps to uninstall. Make sure you have a backup to avoid bootloop when uninstalling system apps. Install greenify and put those apps to hibernate(exclude the messaging, email and social networking app of your choice to keep receiving notification in real time, otherwise it will only update once you ran it manually).

I already run a highly recommended custom Rom, viper one s, so bloatware should be gone. I don't think I need any apps to reduce lag. The amount my phone ever lags is pretty negligible. Even compared to my girlfriends iPhone 4s. I almost think hers lags more on Facebook app than mine does.
Not trying to shoot down the original posters suggestion, but I would rather hear some fact or personal experience on the matter before installing possibly just more crap on my phone.
I've tried lots of stuff that I believe was placebo for many and I didn't feel any benefit.

Ram boosters temporarily boost your phones performance but then it slows down more.
Ps ram boosters only work on phones with over 800mb of ram

Sent from my HTC One S using xda app-developers app
Seeder did not work for me neither... Just remove the sh*t you dont need. Bloatware, apps, everything.
Once you have root, Greenify does a fantastic job. Hibernating Facebook is a good idea too.
Best way to remove lag is to install gentoo.
That, or trick yourself into believing there isn't any lag. That always works.
Of course, if you properly maintain your phone, and it's not terribly specced, it shouldn't lag.

This. You shouldn't need to be manually closing apps. If you've got some app that tries to stay running (not merely open!) in the background misbehaving- uninstall it and replace it with a better app!
If you're always force closing tasks that are in the background, you'll hurt Android's performance and battery life!
I wonder if it's just me, but when i install other apps liek GoSms, or the GoContacts app, they never run smoothly and constantly lag especially when i need to access what these apps handle quickly! Do any of yall experience such a problem? Thanks!
Are you rooted? I don't have any problems with apps like miui camera or handscent sms. Are you having problems with other apps or just what you mentioned? because I didn't have good experiences with Go sms, maybe experiment with other apps.

Recently i installed nemesis one rom on my galaxy y, it comes with an awesome nemesis launcher.
But the problem is, it uses up some of my RAM.
Also when I clear my RAM the launcher again reboots which takes some time.
If anythibg can be done to solve this, will be of great help!
Thank you..

Figured I'd try to help... I use Atom Launcher, my cellphone is very limited RAM-wise and this launcher is still a lot faster than the stock launcher. So to answer your question; launchers need to take some of your virtual memory (or they will have to reload), you just need to find one that you like that takes as few memory as possible (Apex, Atom, Lightning, Smart, etc.). Stay away from those bulky 3D eye-candy launchers and go for more minimalistic ones, they run faster. And don't use Live Wallpapers, they are power-hungry. Hope this helps
EDIT: If you like to use apps that force stops everything to free some memory, I suggest that you make sure that it doesn't stop your launcher and most used apps, so your device will not have to restart them every time, this will make your device faster in the end (keeping an app running in the background is a lot better than killing it and restarting it every 5 minutes).

Hello everybody I have been using htc wildfire s for over 3 years and I want to change my phone lately. I am not a person who wants to pay a lot of money to a mobile phone and also I don't wanna give up on android. I just wanted to ask that if it is possible to change the background at the app drawer in moto g. Because i don't like to see black background all the time. (in wildfire s i can not change it with the stock rom).
I don't want to root the phone at the minute i buy it, also i dont want to install any launchers as they make the phone slower.
There's no way to do that in the stock AFAIK.
You could always try Google Now Launcher; it was the first ever app I installed on my phone

Launchers won't impact this phone much as it has 1 GB RAM and a Snapdragon 400.
I was wondering if people have proof that Clean Master is making your device cleaner and faster?
Is it not an app that just steal personal data or is it really working.
I have rooted and rommed devices so I install scripts to make my devices faster.
Are there other people that are using this?

Some people swear by Clean Master....other people swear at it . It certainly removes things but whether or not this improves your device performance probably depends a lot on your device and how you use it.
The introduction of CM Security certainly changed the way a lot of people view Clean Master, because now Clean Master asks you to install CM Security and vice versa...which is kind of spammy. I know that they collect data off the devices but they claim that it is kept private and never sold to 3rd parties...
I don't feel that I need the Clean Master regularly and therefore I install it from time to time. It's a convenient tool for applications backup, checking the system on viruses and removing remains of uninstalled apps. It could release some ram too, but that effect is temporally and not really needed considering the way the Android functions.

I agree, but the virus stuff is totally fake .
They are just scanning their blacklist of apps that don't suite with their company.
Some apps that are high known banned apps that we can recognize self without scanners.
Apps that offering a function to free up ram memory are also not essential because since 4.0+ is that possible in Android built in system.
( some devices with earlier android versions also )
The only two functions that let me consider installing the app are:
Backup apps without manual actions ( root required )
And clean up junk files

How true. Even viruses are not much a concern since they are rare on Android and other vulnerabilities such exploits and security flaws are not covered by antivirus tools. Fortunately they are remedied by Google from time to time. Removing junk files and apps backup is what the Clean Master is good at.

Exactly maybe they should make an app that is called "Working Master"
With the following functions:
- Clean junk files
- Disk analyzer
- Wipe call and sms data
- Wipe cache
- Battery Stats
- Proxy enabler for better and secure browsing
- Backup apps and restore them
- Benchmark tool
And the most important thing ! ; the beautiful user interface of Clean Master
