I wonder if it's just me, but when i install other apps liek GoSms, or the GoContacts app, they never run smoothly and constantly lag especially when i need to access what these apps handle quickly! Do any of yall experience such a problem? Thanks!
Are you rooted? I don't have any problems with apps like miui camera or handscent sms. Are you having problems with other apps or just what you mentioned? because I didn't have good experiences with Go sms, maybe experiment with other apps.
Sent from my Inspire 4G using XDA App forgive me if I don't make sense, sometimes Swype doesn't get things quite right.

I have devloped a simple stats app in app inventor and it runs rather well on my droid 3 and rooted nook color both on ginger bread. However, it seems that when installed on honeycomb devices it slows to the point of crashing. There are a bunch of buttons that have to be drawn which causes a slight delay when starting on the aforementioned devices but nothing intolerable. Is this a common problem with honeycomb and apps made on ai or is there an easy solution to fixing this problem?
Also is there a way to exclude devices running honeycomb from seeing the app in market. I use app to market to sign and publish the app so I can set a min sdk version, but don't know how to exclude or set a max.
any help would be great thanks.

Yes you can.
But you have to make 2 versions.
One with maxsdkversion = 10 and the other one with minsdkversion = 14.
This would exclude all devices with honeycomb 3.x

Ok so i have been downloading apps from Approb.com
how do i know that all the apps ive downloaded dont have any spy ware on em?
makes me so paranoid sometimes.
From memory this is a pirate apps site, so any app that is "cracked" has been opened and edited, so there may be spyware. Better be safe than sorry and buy the apps

root
root your device then remove some apps
Ram booster? Ram manager? Speed booster? You should post it in Google Play's user's comment...
Do you really think those apps do anything? I have a hard time believing they do. I feel that typically the more apps you have running the more load on the phone.

My thoughts exactly

Download "no bloat" in playstore, uninstall crapware that came from provider, select system apps to uninstall. Make sure you have a backup to avoid bootloop when uninstalling system apps. Install greenify and put those apps to hibernate(exclude the messaging, email and social networking app of your choice to keep receiving notification in real time, otherwise it will only update once you ran it manually).

I already run a highly recommended custom Rom, viper one s, so bloatware should be gone. I don't think I need any apps to reduce lag. The amount my phone ever lags is pretty negligible. Even compared to my girlfriends iPhone 4s. I almost think hers lags more on Facebook app than mine does.
Not trying to shoot down the original posters suggestion, but I would rather hear some fact or personal experience on the matter before installing possibly just more crap on my phone.
I've tried lots of stuff that I believe was placebo for many and I didn't feel any benefit.

Ram boosters temporarily boost your phones performance but then it slows down more.
Ps ram boosters only work on phones with over 800mb of ram

I tried seeder on 3 different phones and it made no difference on any of them even with a couple different roms I tried.

Seeder did not work for me neither... Just remove the sh*t you dont need. Bloatware, apps, everything.
Once you have root, Greenify does a fantastic job. Hibernating Facebook is a good idea too.
Best way to remove lag is to install gentoo.
That, or trick yourself into believing there isn't any lag. That always works.
Of course, if you properly maintain your phone, and it's not terribly specced, it shouldn't lag.
Hello everybody I have been using htc wildfire s for over 3 years and I want to change my phone lately. I am not a person who wants to pay a lot of money to a mobile phone and also I don't wanna give up on android. I just wanted to ask that if it is possible to change the background at the app drawer in moto g. Because i don't like to see black background all the time. (in wildfire s i can not change it with the stock rom).
I don't want to root the phone at the minute i buy it, also i dont want to install any launchers as they make the phone slower.
There's no way to do that in the stock AFAIK.
You could always try Google Now Launcher; it was the first ever app I installed on my phone

Nope.

Launchers won't impact this phone much as it has 1 GB RAM and a Snapdragon 400.
