[APP][4.0+][FREE] WiiiFixer for Jelly Bean - will make your connection stable - Android Apps and Games

I've made this little app because I couldn't tolerate endless wifi disconnections (when a screen is off) on my Galaxy S2 after upgrading to Jelly Bean. I've tried many of wifi-repair apps, but none of them worked for me. This one works. Maybe it will work also for you. It can be also used with ICS.

what wifi problems are you talking about? the one where it disconnects itself after deep sleep?

can you PM the apk of this app plz!

Works great on my GS3 d2tmo thank you.

What? Thats actully a feature in JB that can be enable and disable in the advance setting of WiFi right? atleast on my S3 and NOTE 2.

This app holds wifi and multicast lock. This fixes wifi disconnections for badly written apps which don't hold a wifi lock.

Giving it a try!
Note: the disable notification button takes me to the settings-apps pane, i.e. to force-stop, uninstall, etc. Running 10.1 nightly on an LG P500.

This is expected behavior. Uncheck "show notifications" there and you're done.

Nice!! Thanks...I will try it and let you know.

Figured that much out. Does this app need/recommend persistent notification to be effective?

It needs to run in foreground and all android apps supposed to run in foreground must use notifications (it's forced by the android compiler). Of course if you switch the notification off (in jb only) it doesn't affect the app in any way.

Extened wifi range via hidden menu

Never seen any one post this tip so here is mine. The improvement was very noticeable. Discovered by me.
1. Use a different launcher that allows activites. (Launcher Pro) install.
2. Long press on homescreen click shortcut then goto activites.
3. Expand com.lge.hiddenmenu then click hiddenmenu, it should now be on homescreen.
4. Run hiddenmenu goto connectivity test. Uncheck power save. Lol.
Simple i know. But enjoy longer range and more power.

why would you need more WIFI range? And why do you think it's called "power save" ?
Data might have been more interesting.

[Q] Why Wlan allways on?

Hey guys... I don't know why, but my Wlan is always on.
It is disabled in settings as well location services are disabled.
Tryed to reboot but nothing changed...
Please help me.

It might be the WiFi scanning. Go into settings, WiFi then click the menu button and click advanced.
There's an option that's ticked called WiFi scanning that scans for WiFi even with it turned off.
Thank you very much. Problem solved.

Audio skipping on KitKat?

Has anyone found a fix for the audio skipping on Beanstalk and Unofficial CM11? I've tried viper on Beanstalk but it didn't work and now i'm on CM11 and its getting pretty frequent. Like 10-20 stutters per song. Any ideas would be appriciated.
Its something to do with deep sleep...when I run 4.4 it skips when I lock my phone but doesnt skip when phone is awake. Im looking into it now

Would you mind letting me know if you find a fix? I'd try but I don't know enough about the core yet to do something like that. Although I'm willing to learn.

Yeah im poking around a bit. The phone goes into deep sleep so maybe the wake lock isnt working obviously

Hmm. And I don't think CM11 has the menu for enabling and disabling wake locks that I've seen. But that might be something I can look into myself when I get home from school

Cool just let me know. Make sure ondamand sticks to. Use like set cpu or something. Then play music and lock your phone. Phone shouldn't go into full sleep and shouldn't skip
Im working on my miui rom so I can't test

Definitely don't have that, running 4.4.2 kitkat purestock. But I do have Agni. I have massive Bluetooth stutter when the screen turns off.

just look under performance....i haven't used cm11 in a while so yeah....you can just go up to CarbonRom its on 4.4.3 ^_^
If u don't have the performance menu, go tap build # 5 times to activate dev settings. That should bring it up.

Thanks for the fix people, this sure fixed it on my phone too.
And yeah, CarbonRom is pretty cool

Shouldn't it say "Root access granted"?
Dont suppose you use and updated gravity box without a reboot lately have you? I know that can change certain messages to be other text if a reboot hasn't occurred.

No I don't use gravity box. This isn't specific to faux clock. I just took a screenshot when it popped up. It pops up often no matter what app I'm using.

When did it start happening? Are you based in a country that's just changed its time for DST?
Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
its a setting in an app that you have to disable. its your job to find which app is causing it, since you know what apps that you have installed.
Disabling notifications for FauxClock fixed this in my case
Tapatalked via Nexus 5
Pretty sure it was faux clock causing the popup. Maybe a bug in his new beta or the intelli ksm feature.

Interesting. I've been directed here as I have the same issue. Started yesterday. I am going to disable Fauxclock notifications and will report back.
Ah finally, I am getting this as well thanks for the heads up.
It's a beta feature Now FauxClock is out of beta, you should update to production version
