ZTE Grand X with Tegra 2 AP20H work with ICS

Pls read this I hope that no false positives

http://www.knowyourmobile.com/comparisons/1495235/huawei_ascend_p1_vs_zte_grand_x.html
Is it true and if so, can this be used somehow to our benefit in order to get the drivers? And if true it means that AP20H is with no problems and we will likely get update on ICS released by Samsung.
Use GSArena and compare it with the R

Nvidia Tegra 2 AP20H chipset hopeful?
This is true... ICS beckons for our phone now.

I don't think its using the same Chip set (AP20H) of our Galaxy R because its running Tegra 2 with clock speed of 1.2 GHz Normally manufactures will not overclock the CPU by default because there will be lot of problem lik over heating etc... so i think its using T25/AP25 chip set.....
Its running kernel version 2.6.X.X and its not running the latest kernel 3.X.X.X, Even though its having same chipset i doubt this mobile is it having H/W Acceleration because it's using same kernel which we are having/using now ....

Just checked in wiki with list of tegra 2 ap20h... It is in the list as mimosa x..
It seems already this device discussed in atrix and 2x devices and it seems it wont suit

I am keeping an eye on this model... ZTE Grand X uses the same Tegra 2 AP20h chipset like SGR and it is 1 ghz not 1.2 ghz. ZTE rolled out an official JellyBean 4.1.1 update last week. I am trying to get that firmware somehow and keep you posted.

thanks
Hi,
Test that there [Kernel][CM10] CMOC10-Kernel [150-1380mhz] [384mhz GPU] or
[KERNEL][ROOT][STOCK] GT-P5100 / GT-P5110 compatible!!! :good:

if I know the first kernel is only for cm10 the second is not for overclocking.
There is a third kernel, MetalliKernel 10.1 cm9. But its only for cm9.

So there is no kernel that goes on the stock rom that you can overclock?

Questions should be asked in Q&A forums, not Development forums.
Thread moved.

No. Sadly this tablet does not have the best developer support.

you can overclock the stock kernel,
just root it, and modify the (cpu frequency scaling) script using text editor with root access

I would like to see more details about how I do that...
for example:
which text editor?
and more...
Maybe use setcpu?
I'm going to give it a try and report back, but probably need OC kernel
Thought I found a kernel to OC stock rooted but not working for me. Will not boot with new kernel.

AFAIK only tegrak works for over clocking (not 100% sure) but I can say of course jellybam's kernel is the only one which support its app as its by the same author...even not all kernels work on jellybam!
Use original kernel or a different OC application

Wrong section I guess
Be ware of warnings and ban here cause of asking for support regarding that kernel

Yea, the first 3.0.31 Galaxy Tab 2 7.0/10.1 unofficial kernel, long before CM adapting 3.0.31. The first Galaxy Tab 2 kernel that use PowerVR 3D driver build [email protected] from omapzoom.org. The first Galaxy Tab 2 3.0.31 kernel with CPU and GPU overclock capability. The first Galaxy Tab 2 3.0.31 kernel with voltage control capability Although in the future it is not the best, it's still the first
Still the best kernel out there
Send from invader Zim's spaceship.
thanks guys......i will give a try to ketut's kernel
512Mhz GPU OC seeems nice..

Kernel request for smn900

Featured required are zram and swap along with multi boot
Plus if anyone can port siya kernel for i9300 s3 galaxy to note 3 it would be great!!
Also s3 was also exynoss i9300 so it shouldn't be much of a problem... That Kernel had true dualboot abilities... That means it used to ask on boot to press a button to install different roms...
Sent from my SM-A9100 using Tapatalk
you can use Dual Boot Patcher for MultiBoot
Not working on exynoss
