[Q] How to disable double tap home shortcut - RAZR HD Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

How do you disable the double tap home short cut. If i accidentally tap the home button twice it "says please wait, please say a command." I know there is a way to turn it off on gingerbread but now that i have a Droid Razr HD, i don't know how to turn it off. I know you can go into Settings>Applications and then into Homescreen double tap with gingerbread, but how do you turn it off with jellybean?
Thanks in advance.

Go to settings, accessibility. Should be the last option.

Home button lights going off quickly

Does anyone know if there is something that can be edited in the build.prop that will enable the home keys to stay illuminated when the screen is on in dark settings? the keys go off so day and then you can't see them

no i dont think samsung puts that setting in there. hoowever you might be able to use an app called "keep the lights on" which will bind the backlights to screen on. that way they dont timeout at all
Yeah I was just wondering if there was a line that could be edited in the build.prop that you could change a standard value, like so many milliseconds to more milliseconds for the home keys alone. I wouldn't smythe entire display not timing out

That has been removed. The menu button will appear only if necessary and needed by the app itself. If you don't seem to find the menu button, it might be embedded in the app itself. The menu button on the navigation bar will appear at the left-most corner. A 3 horizontal line with a small triangle.
So it seems like..it has already been removed..and also the screen grab shortcut aswell hmmm anyways thanks for the input though

Any idea how to flip the multitask and back buttons ? Isn't it weird that the back button is now on the right ? Why would Samsung do that ?
My menu button on GT-6210 hardly ever shows up no matter which app I'm using & it's totally random when it decides to show back up (using stock honeycomb.) I got so annoyed by not having it when I needed it so I bought an app called called button survivor from the market. I think it needs root permission but now I can use that to open the menu whenever I need it.

So did they remove quick launch options in the display settings removed on jellybean?
Settings/display/quick launch
I don't have jellybean so I can't check but if they they removed the quick launch option & removed the screenshot shortcut that is very disappointing and makes no sense at all.

[Q] any way to disable s-Pen button screenshot feature?

I mean the function when you press and hold and it cuts a portion of the screen. I can't find a way to turn it off, it's really annoying when using other apps.

+1
This really sucks in apps like Papyrus because you can't have the eraser tool on the button.

"Knock off" (works with Novalauncher and possibly others)

Hi,
Been trying to set up my phone so I could double tap to make it sleep and I finally figured out a way.
You'll need two things, a launcher that supports assigning an app to "double tap" (novalauncher does this). It will simply launch said app when you double tap anywhere on the launcher.
Second thing is this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=kennethcheng.com.lockscreen.free
All you have to do is assign this app to the double tap in the Novalauncher settings and bam, double tap to wake and double tap to sleep now enabled.
Just thought I'd share this because I know it's a feature everybody wants.
Already been done. Thanks
