hi guys, i'm really confused ! I just did every thing except the partial root !!! I mean i followed this guide below (except the partial root):

GUIDE ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1647148 )
This method works on the released ICS rom from Germany and I would expect it to work for the rest of the ICS roms due for release..
This method does not increase the binary counter or causes a yellow exclamation mark
Update :
Due to rising numbers of phone being bricked based on rumors and stuff, I strongly suggest NOT trying to use any nandroid backup or restore on this CWM and it is best we keep CWM out of our devices to do major I/O stuff. So far I have never seen anyone bricked their devices on this small rooting/unrooting process but JUST DO NOT MAKE BACKUPS OR RESTORES!
Rooting
Download the Files first and put in your EXTERNAL SD
Reboot to stock recovery. - Shutdown your device completely, press and hold Vol Up + Power button + Home, releasing the power buttons once you see the Samsung GALAXY Note N7000 screen but continue to hold the Vol Up and Power buttons still until you enter recovery
Choose apply update from external storage. - Touch the screen as if you are using the phone to choose the options.
Choose CWM.zip and wait until CWM recovery appear.
( From this point on, the volume rockers and power buttons do not work! It is now a Touch interface like how you use the phone normally )
Choose install zip from external SD
Choose and Install SU-Busybox-Installer.zip
Reboot
You are done and now your device is Rooted
Unroot
Download this File first and put in your EXTERNAL SD
Reboot to recovery.- Shutdown your device completely, press and hold Vol Up + Power button + Home, releasing the power buttons once you see the Samsung GALAXY Note N7000 screen but continue to hold the Vol Up and Power buttons still until you enter recovery
Choose apply update from external storage.- Touch the screen as if you are using the phone to choose the options
Choose CWM.zip and wait until CWM recovery appear.
( From this point on, the volume rockers and power buttons do not work! It is now a Touch interface like how you use the phone normally )
Choose install zip from External SD
Choose and Install SU-Uninstaller-Signed.zip
Reboot
You are done and now your device is Unrooted
Partial Root
Alright i managed to obtain partial root myself and a fix for the Partial root is quite simple. You can install SuperSU by Chainfire and update the root. would fix the Partial root. Once you install this.. DO NOT USE the Superuser app and DO NOT uninstall the SuperUser app. Use SuperSU from now.

You're not bothering anyone by asking. It's just that you need to read related info until it starts making some sense to you......and it WILL.

nobody wants to help?
safe root method
I prefer always cf-root method. it looks for me very safe
If you have superuser app you are rooted.
Try adfree and droidsheep apps.
For a rom try KingDroid ICS ROM.
Good luck

Neither having a busybox, su binary, or superuser app is a proof that you infact have root access.
You could have all those things and still couldn't use root.
If you can get root in console, or apps can request and obtain it, then you have confirmation.
If you are still unsure:
Root Validator checks the most common things.
Funny enough you can't make a complete backup without having a rooted device .

Obviously superuser won't grant requests if there's no root.

Rooted MK3 multi language working wi-fi and no MK3 bootloader

Hi!
This is what i just did :good: (i come from 4.1.2 total stock rom)
1. Rooted my stock Note 2 (4.1.2) -> http://download.chainfire.eu/264/CF-Root/CF-Auto-Root/CF-Auto-Root-t03g-t03gxx-gtn7100.zip
2. download MK3 (all 4.3 firmware works) stock rom from sammobile and putt it on sdcard. -> http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/
3. downloaded ODINmobile. -> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1347899
4. Browse for the MK3 rom from sdcard and flash.
5. Download philz recovery and and browse for the philz recovery from pcodin and flash it. -> http://d-h.st/users/philz_touch/?fld_id=16053#files
6. Download Dr ketan multitool v5 and put in on sdcard. -> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=45609987&postcount=3
7. Go to philz recovery and flash the Dr ketan multitool v5 chosse only "root" from aroma installer.
8. Go to playstore and download and install SuperSu.
9. Open mobileodin and browse for the MK3 rom (from sdcard) untick all exept "recovery" and flash.
10. Download Triangle away 3.10 (from playstore) follow the info and after you have reset the flashcount dont start the phone, press volyme down (to enter download mode)
11. force the phone off by hold start button and manuly go directly to download mode (flashcount shuld say 0)
12. Go to your pc and download odin and MJ5 bootloader. -> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=47379632&postcount=2789&nocache=1&z=1361703365109861
13. Flash the MJ5 bootloader.
14. Done..
Wi-fi working, no Knox 0x1, no flash count, working root, stock recovery and multi language.
A big thanks to all people how made it possible
Edit: This works with any n7100 JB 4.3 official firmware from sammobile
Just downgraded to stock 4.1.2 without any problem :good:
Flashing the 4.1.2 stock ROM (OTA / KIES works)
1. Download -> http://d-h.st/7me flashing (Dr ketan :good
2nd Start Note 2 in download mode and start ODIN
3rd Go to the AP open MD5 file from one and flash the
4th Download the 4.1.2 stock rom from sammobile
5th Open ODIN - AP and flash it
Now we have to Root Note 2
6. download - Open ODIN - search for MD5 root - AP - flashing ... http://download.chainfire.eu/264/CF-...xx-gtn7100.zip
7. Download the triangle away and run
8. Download CSC Changer and choose the correct CSC code for your Note 2 region.
9. Open SuperSu and select "delete SuperSu" unroot.
10th Now your Note 2 completely stock again and ready for OTA / kies updates
(i guess we all know how to do this but i say it anyway )
Thanks. I'm going to try using everroot in mobile odin instead of the philz + dr ketan's method, seems simpler (if it works)
EDIT: Yeah, that worked, and it saved me from using philz, drketan + reflash stock recovery.
In the end, however, i decided to use the wifi patch instead of flashing the new bootloader. It works fine, but the binary counter stays at 1 even after triangle away; the checksum probably doesn't match with the old bootloader in place.
Regards
Can you elaborate the exact methodand steps you used here and what ROM as I am interested in your method, thanks

Im sorry mate i do not understand what you are asking.
If you follow the metod in 1 post you will be "KNOX free, rooted and have a downgradable KNOX bootloader". (works with any note 2 JB 4.3 official rom from sammobile) tested and 100% working if you do it the right way.
If there is something that is unclear fell free to ask
What is meant by "11. force the phone off by hold start button and manuly go directly to download mode (flashcount shuld say 0)"?
do you mean the sequence of steps below?
a. Hold down the power button to force the phone shutdown
b. Hold down volume down + home + power button to go into download mode?
TQ.

Now you fell like tweak your odex rooted 4.3 firmware?
Requirements -> N7100 firmware, accses root, root file explorer
Optimally -> Remove bootup sound/lowbatteri/volumecontroll
Here are a few of the delicious parts.
Note 3 launcher
Recording Calls
Higher sound
On / off sound with the camera (+ mutch more csc tweaks)
build.prop tweaks (only use this if you are on N7100XXUEMK9 firmware)
Ad block
Remove annoying sound
Use a rootexplorer -
1. copy secluncher4.apk and secluncher4.odex to system/app
2. delete secluncher2.apk and secluncher2.odex
3. force a reboot by hold powerbutton
4. copy and replace secphone.apk and secphone.odex in system/app
5. copy default_gain.conf to system/etc and replace the old one
6. copy others.xml to system/csc/your csc/system/csc and replace old
7. copy host to system/etc and replace the old
8. copy and replace old build.prop in system/
9. go to system/media/audio/ui and delete this 3 -> LowBattery.ogg PowerOn.ogg TW_Volume_controll.ogg
10. do a facoryreset (to get the new csc changes)

3. It can be fixed (se bellow)
4. V5 works just fine to root your device
5. When you root with dr ketans aroma tool it root your device and clean knox leftovers.
If i understand you, are on stock recovery now? If so...
You need to run triangle away and directly after you have reset choose "go to downloadmode" and from there "Hold down volume down + home + power button to go into download" again. (It should say officiell officiell and counter status 0)
Now you flash the MJ5 bootloader = :good:

Great, count is now zero!
If I go to Status in Phone info says "Custom" is that Ok? I assume it doesn't matter to me as I'm out of warranty anyway, but others may not be

Good
Custom is normal when you are rooted and have removed/modded systemfiles.
I just uploaded some fun stuff in post #8 :good:

Now you fell like tweak your odex rooted 4.3 firmware?
Requirements -> N7100 firmware, accses root, root file explorer
Optimally -> Remove bootup sound/lowbatteri/volumecontroll
Here are a few of the delicious parts.
Note 3 launcher
Recording Calls
Higher and better sound
On / off sound with the camera (+ mutch more csc tweaks)
build.prop tweaks (only use this if you are on N7100XXUEMK9 firmware)
Ad block
Remove annoying sound
Use a rootexplorer -
1. copy secluncher4.apk and secluncher4.odex to system/app
2. delete secluncher2.apk and secluncher2.odex
3. force a reboot by hold powerbutton
4. copy and replace secphone.apk and secphone.odex in system/app
5. copy default_gain.conf to system/etc and replace the old one
6. copy others.xml to system/csc/your csc/system/csc and replace old
7. copy host to system/etc and replace the old
8. go to system/media/audio/ui and delete this 3 -> LowBattery.ogg PowerOn.ogg TW_Volume_controll.ogg
8. do a facoryreset (to get the new csc changes)
9. done...

Thanks for that, can you point out which files are for which mod, and also which can be installed without a factory reset, as I don't want do do one Right now.
What does the Note 3 Launcher give us? does it add eny extra functionality of the Note 3 apps?
Thanks

Sure
Really no need to do a factory reset "others.xml" can be placed in system/csc then you do not need to do a facory reset.
Here is the list:
Note 3 launcher -> secluncher4.apk and secluncher4.odex (really no big extra functions but looks better :laugh
Recording Calls -> secphone.apk and secphone.odex
Higher and better sound -> default_gain.conf
build.prop tweaks -> build.prop (i forgot to ad this on the list) copy and replace old build.prop in system/
Ad block -> host
Remove annoying sound -> LowBattery.ogg PowerOn.ogg TW_Volume_controll.ogg
On / off sound with the camera -> others.xml

Besides being louder, what is bettera bout the sound?

What does build.prop.tweaks do for us?
>>Remove annoying sound -> LowBattery.ogg PowerOn.ogg TW_Volume_controll.ogg
Which annoying sound(s) does this replace.
Thanks you are a star

Can you elaborate the exact methodand steps you used here and what ROM as I am interested in your method, thanks

Sure. What I did was:
1. Rooted my stock Note 2 (4.1.2)
2. Downloaded MJ9 (latest for Spain when I checked)
3. Downloaded mobile ODIN
4. Flashed MJ9 with mobile ODIN, which does NOT flash the MJ9 bootloader (which includes Knox) <- IMPORTANT: I enabled the EverRoot option in mobile ODIN so that my phone would remain rooted after flashing; this saves me from steps 5-9 in the original instructions.
At this point, you will be running Android 4.3, rooted, untouched recovery, and with the original Knox-free bootloader, but the WiFi will not turn on, so you can either
5a: Flash the WiFi patch with ODIN
OR
5b: Flash the MJ5 bootloader with PC ODIN [Mobile ODIN will not flash the boot loader, remember?]
If you do option 5a you will keep the old bootloader, which means you will never see the "Knox status" line in download mode, but your flash counter will remain at "1" and status will be custom.
If you do option 5b, you will get the knox status line in download mode, but your flash counter can be reset with triangle away. Keep in mind that if you have previously done something that triggers knox state to 0x1, redoing all these steps and going for step 5a will NOT reset the knox flag, for the time being there is no way to reset it.

Disable soft keys

Any way to disable soft keys without rooting? Immersive Mode doesn't work because it disables the keyboard.

So,
Here is the way,
Note-Do it at your own risk!! I'll not be responsible for anything!!
It is not actually rooting your device...:silly:
I'll just tell you the method...
Rest you have to figure it out how to do it because I'm not an owner of Honor 8!!! , Currently my device is Lenovo A6000 Plus
Requirements:
1. PC
2. ADB Files
3. Custom Recovery ( I recommend - TWRP above 3.0 because I've done it same way on my device)
4. Unlocked Bootloader / Fastboot (You should have it)
5. One working Data Cable
6. Minimum Knowledge of editing Build Prop
7. The flashable zip in the attachment below...
8. You with your Phone!!!....
Now Let's Start... (But 1st Try to understand carefully)
1. Download the Flashable zip & put it in your PC
2. Boot your phone into Fastboot/Bootloader ( In whatever process you want - i) Manually or ii) adb reboot bootloader)
3. Now try this cmd - fastboot boot (name of the recovery).img [But before this step you must put your recovery into the adb folder]
After this wait for few seconds... you must be booted into your recovery...
4. Go to Advance > File Manager > Navigate to system > Select build.prop > copy it to where ever storage you want (I prefer internal)
5. Hope you have mtp enable in the recovery mod, if not then reboot the phone into the normal mode then send the extracted file to your pc ( You can also use es file manager/explorer but I will tell the pc method because it is more perfect)
6. Open the build.prop with notepad ++ and try this method which is given by The Hard Gamer in his "[ROM][32bit][port]OCTOS 6.0.1 for lenovo a6000/+" post
EVERYTHINGS WORKING FINE
TO DISABLE NAVBAR EDIT YOUR BUILD.PROP......
-First obviously you need be a Root user
-Backup your build.prop to your PC or anywhere (but backup it!)
-Edit build.prop with a Root Explorer using this line:
qemu.hw.mainkeys=1
you have to add this at the END of the .prop, save and reboot.
[FOR Marshmallow/Android 6.0]
If you're on Marshmallow (Android 6.0) the process is exactly the same, add the line at the end of the build.prop EXCEPT that you must leave 2 spaces after you added the line.
7. Put replace the build.prop file with the new edited build.prop in the flashable zip.... and put it into your root directory of internal/external storage.
8. Now repeat step 2-3.
9. Mount System, if it is already mounted then unmount it then remount it.
10. Go to install > navigate to the flashable zip > Then flash it.
11. Reboot system & Enjoy (If you Can)
Another Note :-I was here to participate in Honor 8 wining contest so, I can not exactly tell you the right process because you know (I don't own one of the amazing device)... So, If this method works then please hit like :good: & reply me with your experience... Atleast I can deserve this much..
& One important thing...
Sorry For My BAd English!!

Thanks. I was also looking for solution of this issue and your solution helped me a lot
I was looking for a method which does not involve custom recovery and unlocked bootloader, should've probably mentioned that. If I go the TWRP way then may as well root it, but then I'd lose OTA.
Don't feel comfortable doing that just yet.

I can understand what you want to say!!
But listen,
You can do the whole process without boot the phone in normal mode...
Just unlock the bootloader before the process and relock it after it...
It's that simple..
And It will automatically do a factory reset after unlocking..
My Previous phone was MMX CAnvas A1
I have done many experiments on it like these...
But At the end I still got the OTA updates... Even my SuperSu (By systemless flashable zip) is installed
And you must take some risk in your life to get better results!!
Hope you understand!!!
And press thank button if it helped!!
