I have an Xperia L, it has a decent battery backup but it's been worse lately. It was fine a few days ago. This is what battery stats show.
I know there was a mediascanner bug in 4.1.2 and I even knew the solution, but since I'm not rooted, I can't do anything about it. Can anyone help me with a solution which doesn't require rooting? :\
This wasn't happening earlier, could some app be causing it? I deleted most of my apps because of the horrible backup I started getting suddenly.
I'd get around 5-6hours of screentime on one full charge but now I can't manage more than 3-4hours. I have minimum apps, no FB app.

Did you try stamina mode?
Do this
1)Try a factory reset
2)Stamina mode
3)If still problem goes on, take it to the service cetner

How can you solve it?
Don't let your battery get below 10%?
The system is designed so that when the battery gets too low it turns off a lot of stuff so that the device will last for longer to do what it was actually made for - be a phone.

Indeed often the cpu is slowed down to which would cause lag.
But yes the best thing to stop it would be to keep your phone charged

Hi, I need help on this. It has been days since my battery has gone haywire and I don't know what happened. I just saw that my WIFI isn't turning off even though i toggled itoff in settings/quick settings. I thought maybe a simple reboot may fix it but no. I came from CO12 to Exodus to Bliss but all have the same problems. Wifi isn't turning off! All my settings are stock. Kernels are stock also. I'm getting an average battery life of 3 1/2 hrs SOT which is awful for my usage. Also AndroidSystem and OS is killing my battery but I disabled Google PlayServices which should help. My only concern is the Wifi not turning off. Pls help thanks

Hi.
I use this app wich does only cut on and off the network: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.a0soft.gphone.aDataOnOff&hl=en
(you can also apply a screen filter to help stop battery drain)
But I doubt its your only problem... I tested with and without the app, and the difference is almost not visible. Also, my wifi (when app off) is in third place on battery usage, and I have at least a good 5-6 SOT..

Some people say that it is a common bug in Android 5.0. Can anyone confirm?

The known bug with wifi is not battery drain but the difficulty to connect, to link the network.
Hey any1
Today i decided to factory reset my Z3.
After some configuration I discovered that under "Battery usage", i could only see how much the screen used nothing els.
I then made a reinstall of the OS through "Xperia Companion", but the problem persist.
I'm having the latest stock version.
Any1 els having the same problem

After a few recharge and hours is it now showing usage
Now I just need to figure why google service eats 50% of my battery
I noticed Google Play Services is by far the highest battery user according to my ZenFone 6, e.g. 40% out of 78% was attributed to it:

I know PS provides services for other apps and is not itself the main problem usually but all guides I read told me that it still shouldn't use that much battery. Is this normal or do I have to hunt for a buggy app? And if so, any ideas on how?
TIA

It is not normal, but I don't have installed your apps.
Google Play Services isn't present in my battery statistics at all, because it is probably lower than 1%.
It's a glitch. Mine does it too but I can still pull down a good day of battery sometimes more.
Also phone idle sits near the same as well which is also another glitch that needs to be fixed

Don't get me wrong, I usually still can go two days without problems but it still seems weird for PS to appear to drain so much
For what it's worth and for those who are interested, the latest beta update for PS seems to have fixed it

I face the same problem. How did you fix that.?
I am on Android 9 only without root.
Thanks!
can anyone tell me if battery performance is still okay or does the battery need replacement already?
had the oneplus 6 since november 2018.

It looks fine to me. I've been experiencing battery issues as of six days ago, mine suddenly will only last not even 8 hours. The day before it was fine.
Has anyone else experienced this? It's so sudden that it seems like a battery issue (like one of the cells dying), but it also seems to be running hotter than usual, which makes me think it's an OS issue? I'm considering doing a clean flash of a different OS and seeing if it solves the problem, but if I DO need a new phone, I'd rather just keep all my data as-is.
On previous phones I'd just flash and restore a backup if needed, but considering we can't do nandroid backups on OP6 it kind of removes that option for me...
Anyone else experiencing battery issues?
Worked out my issue (in case anyone else cares): It was the RAM boost feature. Turning it off instantly restored by battery life!

Still looks good. Easy to replace when things do get worse.
