how to move apps to external sd card for micromax A116? I have tried Directory Bind and Swap external and internal sd card method,but it didnt work.Please help i want to install HD games in my phone
I had same problem . If you have external SD card,swap it with internal one(will increase internal memory)-
Hi everyone , here is the way to do it
1 . Download root browser from play store
2. Browse to /system/etc/vold.fstab
3. Vold.fstab is the file to be replaced by this vold.fstab- http://db.tt/WLjGyBKK
4.reboot and check your storage in settings>storage

and my phone was rooted i want move the games external sd because internal sd is 2gb only
there are apps for that like gl to sd,link to sd and many more and u can also swap ur external memory with internal.

Before swapping, try to use app like Link2SD, app to SD.

Hey guys here's a way to move app/data files to external sd..
No need to create swap partition
Only use folder mount
U can download it from playstore
Then u can play high end games from ur external sd and use ur internal sd as u want

I have rooted my Android Mobile Karbonn A29 with FrameRoot its successfully rooted, but i want to install game like FIFA 14 in my mobile it does not have sufficient internal memory, kindly give me the guide how to make my external memory which is 16 gb to act as internal memory so that i can install large game.
You can make your external your internal memory. What you can do is use a tool Like app2sd to move some apps to your sd. This may allow you to have enough space to install the game and them move it to external. There are ways in a custom recovery to format your external where is it used as sud internal but I haven't played with that yet.
In the future please include the phone.model, carrier and version of os you are using.

i have tried with so many app to move to sd card but it only move to phone sd card not in the external sd card which i insert in the phone. My phone is Karbonn A29.
Model : A29,
Version : 4.1.2
OS: Jellybean

You can use Link2sd app to force move apps to sd card.Also if you partition your sd card then you can also Link all your desired apps to sd card.linking means it will install all your apps to sd card without leaving any traces of the apps in the internal memory.Here is more info on this

I tried this using Link2SD , created a partition in my SD card and did the steps I found that the 2nd partition was used as well as my internal memory also. Say I installed a apk which took 10.3Mb and 1.5Mb of space with respect to 2nd partition and internal memory .
Am looking for an way to swap the storage entirely and not link with SD which tooks a small amount of space in internal memory as well.
Link 2sd plus will help you it will link Internal data too.

How do I use external sd card to store sd data of heavy games. I have 2GB internal and i can't install enough games is there any way i can do this without rooting cause it's my new phone .
sorry, i think it's no way to do it without rooting..
just root your phone.. there is more benefit you will get with rooting ?
If you have root :-
you can use Link2SD app downloaded from playstore.
OR
editing the vold.stab files in system/etc by swapping your internal to your external memory would help also.
