Hey guys, I need some help. I have the Touch pro 2.
And for some reason, my pictures and music are being copied to my phone. Taking up alot of it's memory. I don't think (or atleast I never noticed) this happening before. But is there any way I can stop it?
Okay so until recently I could download picture messages fine but now it says delete files from SD card because I'm low on space, I have about 700mb free space so that shouldn't be the issue. Anyone else have this problem or a fix?
So transferring 4 gigs from pc to internal via usb took 1 hour. No biggie but then when I moved that 4 gigs from one folder to another on the internal it took...1 hour? Am I missing something here? It's on the same drive. I just moved it from the eBook folder to the kindle folder because Kindles not finding it. I didn't think this would be an all day thing. Any apps for checking internal file transfer speed?
And I presume because I'm cut/pasting so many files at once it keeps crashing saying unable to move file, stop transfer or skip file dialog. This is really annoying...even selecting multiple files in the same folder and right clicking causes it to freeze and stop responding.
This has a lot to do with MTP, since sucks for speed compared to normal mass storage mode.
i can comfirm aswell that it has to do with mtp. i hate it so much. :-\

Wow
400 megabytes, 8 minutes remaining. That's crap.
huh thats odd. Last night i transferred a 13 gig movie from my pc to my tf300 and it said there was 1 hour left. took 15 mins. im on AOKP build 40 so idk if that makes transfers faster or?
hi,
i have had my nexus 5 for 5 days now and so far its perfect. the only problem is transferring files. i first noticed when i was putting all my data from my old phone onto it and it kept hanging, so i had to individually tranfer everything bit by bit which was a pain.
i also tried moving my music from my phone memory to google drive using astro and this starts and does a few % and then crashes/hangs and i have to cancel it.
Anyone experienced these problems or have a fix?
Thanks!!!
As of several days ago my phone had this problem where it lists all of my files (e.g. music, videos) as "others" in the Storage setting. These files are accessible through the file manager, but Blackplayer, MX Player, and the stock gallery app cannot find and display them. In addition, these apps would sometimes force close for no obvious reason. The stock file manager also force closed at one point when I tried to access the files manually.
I tried doing a factory reset, which solved the problem at first. However, it returned after I tried to copy some files from my pc. Perhaps this is related?
My phone is unrooted running on the stock Color OS (F1fEX_11_171125).
Anyone here have the same problem? Ideas on how to repair this would be greatly appreciated!

Update: It seems that the problem happens when copying certain files through MTP, which in this case was an MKV video. One sign that the problem would occur was that the copy operation got stuck at near completion for a long time. Deleting the file returned the phone to normal.
Hoping that this could assist others who also encountered the same problem.
I was not able to see this bug on my phone, even after transferring lot of music files on SD card via MTP.
I guess that it's more probably related to big files (videos) on internal memory via MTP transfers. Thanks for the info, I hope it's not your flash or controller getting old...
