[Q] another wifi problem - HTC One S

hey
I have a connection problem with my one s s4. I flashed the holoblackbean 1.9 rom, and the fix script, but it doesn't find a network.
I also tried to change the region code, still no effect.
But i read that on devices the wifi is working...
So, does anyone has a solution or an idea for me?
I'm happy about every suggestion

[Q] wifi wont turn on after applying new rom

hey guys
today i FINALLY fixed my phone and downloaded a rom called "SuperVillain_Shensation-1.2-unsigned.zip" which worked fine and the new rom installed happy days!
however, for some reason, everytime i try to turn my wifi on, on the sensation it just doesnt seem to do anything.. it only connects to my 3G network :/
is there anything i could do to solve this? or is it probably best to just download a new rom?
all help would be appreciated!

[Resolved] [Q] HTC CM7 Radio

Hello everyone, I'm new to xda but not new to rooting and stuff
However I need help
I rooted my Wildfire a while ago..and then i installed some font...which messed my stock rom
receving no technical support over email or service centre, i manually flashed cm7
...
all goinig well but there is no 3g connection at all...the phone keeps on rebooting when i turn on 3g....and 2g is incredibly slow!!!!!!!!!!
I hvnt s off 'ed my wf but hv rooted it successfully..I'd like to know if s off is needed for radio flash...pl help me
How should I s-off my rooted wf??
Hello, i solved this issue.. I was on the radio 3.35.20.10 which is the newest. I flashed the latest rc1 cm7.2. Yes (3g and H) mobile network works flawlessly.. changing a few type of internet build prop values of cm7.2 will lead to rebooting when turning on mobile data
I won't be of any help but I have the same problem: I can't remember when I have noticed it the first time - my Wildfire keeps on rebooting if I switch to 3G.
Initially I thought that one of the different modes (2g/3g only, 2g or 3g etc.) would cause the problem but I have tried everything without any success.
If I find the time I'll probably try a newer nightly to see if this will help.
AFAIK I'm on the newest radio (flashed it a while back due to the well known radio problem).
Anyone with a helpful hint?

Hm, I'm not sure about your solution - could you be a bit more specific? I've already done a lot of things to get rid of the problem - including flashing newer versions of CM7 - currently I'm on the 20120420 nightly. Release date for the newest RC1 is 20120314 if I'm correct - so it looks that this didn't solve my problem.
Furthermore I flashed the radio again (inspired by this thread) - without any help regarding the bootloops. I'm really close to do an RUU update - but I usually rely on good old traditional computer wisdom: "never change a running system" XD
If someone with a bit more understanding of the changes in build.prop could give hints what (which values) exactly could be the reason for the problem this would be really helpful.

G pro 2 wifi wont turn on

Please help my lg g pro 2 wont turn on it's wifi. i already tried flashing stock kitkat and lollipop rom. it might be a hardware problem?
I have same problem for LG G Pro 2 F350s phone. WiFi was working fine. Did root and installed custom lollipop. And everything was fine and after few days of using the rom suddenly the Wi-Fi stock on "Turning WiFi on...". Tried to restore back to original kitkat OS with TOT and DLL files - no help. Somehow having trouble with KDZ restore. I feel like problem is probably related to custom rom kernel that initially was for some other version of LG G PRO 2. But no sure. Symptoms are
1. WiFi is stock on "Turning WiFi on..." status from WiFi networks window
2. If you go advanced WiFi settings then MAC address is unavailable
3. Go settings-about-hardware and you find MAC Address as Unavailable, Bluetooth is unavailable.
4. Probably incorrect serial number also
From internet I've found out that you have to DD the original boot.img like this
dd if = / sdcard / boot.img of = / dev / block / mmcblk0p8
but this was for LG Optimus LTE 1.
It shouldn't be hardware problem. Wasting so much time on it already... Hopefully someone will find this helpful and maybe lead to solution....

Hi,
I am experiencing the exact same problem too.
However I'm not very good in editing the coding and stuff for phones.
Thus, do you have any easier or step by step solution to fix this problem?
Thanks in advance!

Can anybody help us????
Hi,
Don't know if it is exact the same.
But I had difficulties also. Put Wifi on and almost immediatelly it was gone.
I stopped and removed OLEH software as far as possible.
Now sometimes times OLEH wifi manager is on, I have to stop it with (active option) in Application.
- Could not find a way to delete it -
No problem anymore! when wifi is immediatelly out, then I have to stop the Oleh wifi manager!
Help, please!!!!

Hey guys,
it appears you are experiencing the same issue I had. I've written a detailed summary about this problem, you might want to check it out here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/general/help/qa-wifi-stuck-mac-020000000000-g2-g3-g4-t3452133
If anything there helps you, or if you find any other solution, please give feedback to the rest of the community, as there are a lot of people out there with the same issue.
Good luck!

[Completed] [Q] Wifi not detecting home network in samsung galaxy grand duos i9802

Suddenly the wifi in my samsung galaxy grand duos i9802 is unable to detect my home network. It keeps showing it as "out of range". It is not even able to identify any other wifi (tried to tether from another mobile but did not identify it). But surprisingly all other devices in my house are able to detect the same wifi without any issues. So obviously something is wrong with my phone and i cannot understand what. When i tried a factory reset the problem got solved temporarily so for the first time it detected the wifi but again after some time it went back to the same problem as earlier by itself. And since then again it keeps showing as out of range.
I would prefer to solve this issue without installing any custom ROM if possible. Is there someone who has faced a similar problem and could solve it without flashing any custom ROM?
Personally i am not in favour of any custom ROM because most of them have some or the other known issue like radio not working, dual sim always enabled, google maps not working or something like that, but with the stock ROM i do not see any such issue, so i would prefer if it could be solved by simply updating some driver of wifi or any other simpler solution. Would like to avoid rooting as well if it can be solved without rooting.
Can somebody help me with some knowledge here?
Hi, thank you for using XDA Assist. Better than a factory re-set, I'd try flashing the stock firmware with Odin. If there's stilla problem it could be hardware. For additional help see your device's specific forum here, http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-grand-duos

j700m wifi question

Hopefully one of you brilliant people can tell me this.
I have a common problem in that when I install custom nougat roms, my wifi starts doing the 'internet not available' and connect/disconnect thing.
I have tried all the methods I've found to resolve this but to no avail.
The interesting thing is there is one set of custom roms that work fine for me. Just one, and I have tried most if not all of them.
Of course the stock rom works, rooted or not. But the strange thing is that the Gensys Experience roms all work fine.
So, my question is what is specifically different about those roms thst make them work? I've tried to delve into various config files to try to identify differences and have just ended up hopelessly baffled.
Anyone know?
Thanks in advance to anyone who can help..
