After getting the All Access and which I love, I was trying to figure out if I could actually download music to my device (similar to iTunes), is this possible or no?
Yes you can.
You must make the album that you want part of your library.
Click on it and look for the push pin icon. It's to the right of the album artwork in the grey bar..Click that and it will download to be used offline

Can I locate those files then and move to my SD Card to keep? Because I only use streaming services for discovery, I use Poweramp to actually listen to my music

As far as I know, no you cannot. It keeps your music in the Play Music cache and it's encoded..or some ****. So basically only that app can read your music.

If I download music it will sometimes put the majority of songs into the correct album but then will list some as TBD or will list the wrong artist..
Anyone know how to edit these files to change the album name/artist?

if you are using Winamp, i believe its ALT+L to bring up the ID3 tag editor. Or you could use a great free program called MP3Tag.
You can download it here: http://www.mp3tag.de/en/
Easy Music fix
Hook it up the a computer and download HTC drivers put your phone in drive mode and edit the file properties like you would if you were renaming a file (IE Right click on the file and click on properties), album, artist, etc. Make sure if you want all the song just one folder with no subfolder you keep it all clear and only put in the artist. If you love ACDC just list under Artist ACDC and leave the album and all others clear. This will save you from clicking sub folders to open your music.

Hey all,
I am trying to sync music that I downloaded on my nexus 7 to my s3 via Google play music. I know it sounds like an an easy thing to do but I can't figure it out. The music was not downloaded from Google music though and I think that might be part of the issue. Any thoughts?

It needs to be put into the Google music cloud through the computer. Once your music is in the cloud you can get it on any device with your account on it.

How long have you waited? Often when I install Play Music it seems like nothing is there then I go back and an hour later all my music has thumbnails.

So basically if I have music on one device it has to go onto the PC then into the cloud? There isn't a way to just upload it from any device?

I think Google is trying to help prevent piracy by adding another layer here. But they require you to use a PC. I would strip metadata from the songs ie:downloaded from.... You never know what they will be monitoring. Many cloud services get a bit nosy with your files. Not saying Google has, but you do agree to only upload music you have legally purchased. Also you may have problems with legally owned music due to DRM, I highly recommend Wondershare media converter to strip DRM, and media monkey to manage libraries.
I can't even find my music with google music manager

I can't even find my music on my phone when I connect my phone usb and try to upload music. When I did find a folder with a cpl albums it would't upload em, as if they didn't exist wtf???? I go to an album click to select it and it says folder empty. I googled around and finally found this post which hit on my problem. I also see where you gave advice to strip the data from music or something if you didn't legally buy it
(110% of my music is dl from internet for free) and I'm thinking that may be my problem. If so can someone give a detailed explanation as to how I can fix this prob? Thanx in advance man!

Can't you just google the artist's name? LOL

I use windows media player to sync the music instead of copying all the music to the phone. It's kindda annoying because some album photos don't sync well but that's the best option right now.

Coming from iphone how do you manage your music on the S8? I know I can drag and drop but what music player do you use and also does it bring in your playlist?
the Play Music app is there by default works like a charm
Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
MusicBee. For Windows, it's the best, really. My library is in FLAC and it converts to MP3 on the fly.
You can choose to sync with specific playlists and it does send the playlists to the device. There's an option to send the content of the playlist(s) but not the playlist(s) themselves as well.

You can go to the Galaxy App store and get the old "Samsung Music" app that was included before too.

Power amp all the way! It's about perfect.
I'm using iTunes app, as all my music is on the icloud and without downloading it all it was the easiest way to get at my music.
