Ive been trying for days to figure out which frequency band im using for 3G. Here in my country we use both 850 and 1900. Searching through the web i found that i have to access the service mode to see what Channel im conecting to, and that should tell me wich frequency im using, but none of the codes i find seems to work for my Xperia. Any help?

Hi i need help trying to get 3G on my unlocked AT&T sony xperia x10a. Im using simple mobile sim card which is using t-mobile signals. Can someone please tell me how to get 3G or aleast 3G apn settings
You can't. The att x10 uses different frequencies than your sim card. You can only access edge network.

I have a D2G Verizon rooted and stock ROM. The problem is I am using this phone in middle east with GSM and it never connects to 3G network. I usually get Edge only which is slow, any idea why is this happening?

3g works fine here in Jamaica. Have you checked your network settings to ensure that the phone isn't in gsm-only mode? Try setting it to "Global" or "UMTS", reboot your device and then you should be fine.
When I use UMPS or Global the internet doesn't work at all!

if you have ever been in the service menu and selected the only available option calle "US BAND", you've essentially killed the 2100 band. The only way to 'resurrect' it is ether good knowledge with RadioComm or simply reflash SBF. And never go to service menu and select "US BAND" there...
You may have to enter in apn settings for your carrier to get it to work. Here in japan I had to add the apn's and edit a file in system/etc/ppp with the user name and password to get data working on my wife's d2g.

Any apps that will force my ns4g to roam? Tried roam control, but it didn't seem to do anything. Sprint seems to be having an issue with the tower by my house and "can't " service it for a couple days......
ahhhhh...........gone todash..............
Couldn't you just go into mobile networks and select network provider and select a different provider?
You need roam control v1.4 to work with nexus

Go to settings, choose Mobile Network, select Access Point type, change it from GSM/WCDMA to WCDMA Only.
Give it a try. You may end up loosing signal depending on your location. There may also be a keypad code to type in as an alternate.
Hastily spouted for your befuddlement.
Pretty sure its not possible GSM/WCDMA only. I tried when I first got my phone.. if you go into the hidden menu as well and try changing to just CDMA it always reverts back to 3g/4g.

Hi All,
The HTC phones have an option called the "Internet Pass through" where in the PC Internet connection can be used for the handset by connecting through the USB.
Is it a hardware or a software feature?
If it is software, then will it be possible to apply the feature for the P920?
Network speeds are pathetic where i live (tried all networks, 2G as well as 3G) if Internet Pass Through feature was available, I could easily have high speed internet access for my handset!
Hope someone takes this up and include them as an add on or in the ROM itself.
I am sure this will be helpful to many.

HI,
Simple point. I dont have wireless broadband at home and I dont want to get wireless broadband at home coz there is a cyber cafe below my house and that guy is always trying to hack into all wifi connections available.
also, the aircel / mtnl / Uninor/ videocon/ airtel /BPL /idea / vodafone -- all have flop internet speeds. I have unlimited 2 Mbps broadband connection at home.
LGO3D does not support Internet Pass Through inherently like HTC. hence the need for the above link. I am sure there may be many more who want to use this feature.
this works extremely well when I have to download new roms / 3D games / movies etc.
thanks.
