[Q] Rooting Karbonn A26 (4.1.1)

It is running stock Android 4.1.1 out of the box.
Root_with_Restore_by_Bin4ry_v31 ends up with "mount: permission denied (are you root?)" in "Normal" mode. On going through it step by step, I found that this error occurs on the line where the "/system" partition is being remounted as RW.
Found "Poot" somewhere on the internet, tried and ended up with "Error Code 18: su binary was not written". I think it doesn't work with Jelly Bean anyways...
Tried "Motochopper" too, the phone restarts during "/data/local/tmp/pwn" execution...
Tried searching here and there but no success.
Any suggestions?

Cant find the drivers.... pls help
hey guys. i was also trying to root my Karbonn Smart A26... but m unable to find the drivers for my device. even d karbonn homesite is not displaying the drivers... n due to this, while flashing recovery using SP flash tool, the procedure gets stuck up at searching. Pls help.. thanks in advance...

Important Note: Your phone should be OFF before connecting it to the computer, after pressing Download button in SP Flashtool. OFF means pull out battery and put it in again. This ensures the phone is OFF. If switched OFF phone is connected for charging/usb the phone turns ON; phone is not fully OFF even if nothing is shown on screen. So pull out battery. ONLY If you connect the OFF phone to computer you will be able to detect the device and install Mediatek Vcom drivers as well as use flashtool.

I still wonder how you got the recovery image...
My phone is rooted successfully thanks to your help, but I would love to learn more.

As i tried swapping for low storage problem,from then it was corupted and now i want to replace it with original file as i havnt backuped it.

install Universal Android USB Driver
step 1) Enable USB Debug (setting/Application/Development)
step 2) switch off mobile and remove battery
step 3) after 10 seconds re-insert battery and wait for 10 seconds
step 4) Activate download/Recovery Mode by hold volume down + power (then you can see android logo there)
step 5) plug USB and wait to install complete
step 6) open device manager (in windows 7 open control panel/device manager) and drag down Universal Serial Bus Controllers check spectrum device emulator is there
step 7) extract Root_Andro-Build_Binary.7z on C:\Root
step 8) open RunMe.bat (on extract folder)
step 9) press 1 for Normal and Enter to Continue and Please wait the process complete
step 10) you phone will flash and reboot the process
step 11) if it complete remove battery and reinsert and wait for 10 second to power on
congratulation you ROOTED
complete your celkon A9+ rooted and superuser can see on application
open superuser and install binary
that's all
you can more root option on http://www.srsroot.com/ (but experimental)

continue
after root complete open superuser and install su binary after that, restart
and take a factory data reset (setting/backup and reset/factory data reset default password is 1234, it will not work, but redirect to recovery option)
take wipe data/factory reset and also take backup on CWM menu (backup means "backup your firmware" using cwm recovery option)
after that you can save your firmware for your future use

I have rooted celkon A9+
I have rooted my frnd's celkon A9+ mobile guys.. just taken 2min to root.:laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh:
Try VRoot app guys.. Download it from google.
1. download and install vroot on your pc and launch it..
2. Then connect your celkon A9+ with your original celkon usb cable to your system.
3. It wil detect your device automatically.
4. Then click Root button, thats it.
Your device will reboot in few seconds.. then you can see super user on your device.
App itself display you the msg after your device got rooted. you can also check with root checker app.
you can find it on play store.

Please any one help me to root my celkon millenium vogue Q445 mobile.
I tried many apps and softs to root but no result.
Once i tried with Mobogenie but it showed as Your Device is successfully ROOTED. As I checked with ROOT CHECKER app It showed me as "SORRY YOUR DEVICE IS NOT ROOTED PROPERLY".

1.install VRoot software on your PC
2.connnect your celkon device to PC
3.VRoot software will detect your phone
4.after that select Root option in VRoot software...click on it.
5.your device will be rooted.....

try framaroot app to root
select barahir exploit in that and it wil restart saying android is upgrading in booting and u vil see supersu new app created after it started and its rooted

[Q] micromax canvas a74 freezes on boot start logo

as i am new to rooting and all i read about root and its advantages so i rooted my device (Micromax Canvas Fun A74) using framaroot.apk it rooted sucess fully but when i tried to install cwm recovry using any app which i found on xda forum sorry i forgot that app name so when click to install cwm recovery my android stuck and then i removed battery and when i turn on again it just remains stuck on the start logo i tried everything like factory reset ,removal of battery ,odin etc but it still stuck there
so plz plz plz i need help how to repair my android

fix
Your phone won't do much since it was reset. You will need to put an update on the SDcard and go into recovery mode. Then, select "update from sdcard".

i tried to do that earier but installisation failed

The same thing happend to me also even I didn't do anything after rooting.. Then I've given my mobile in service centre.. They replaced the motherboard

Do you have a sp flash tool backup ? if you have one flash it your phone will back to normal..

Install stock rom of mmx a74 then flash it through sp flash tool

so,
as i am new to the world of droid devs..i made a mistake...
just a min before i tried to tweak my old karbonn a1 star mtk6575 jb and stock <3e> recovery
i went to /etc/fonts
and replaced its default roboto.ttf with another font file and rebooted..
and now phone is not moving further from boot img/animation..
is it bricked or has a boot loop??
thought to try following methods::
> factory wipe..
>edit nand backup
>again flash stock rom (my phone runs stock jb but jb is isnt availble on net)
cant use pc as my phone never connects any pc..
plz plz plz plz help me... :crying:

That's a boot loop and not brick. Factory reset won't help since, you edited system folder.
Please review [Stock ROM BACKUP] Karbonn A1+ Backup
You might be better off to restore that nandroid.

Requirements:
1)MTK Driver_Auto_Installer_v5.1453.03
MOD EDIT: REMOVED
2)SP_Flash_Tool_exe_Windows_v5.1452.00.000
MOD EDIT: REMOVED
3)Micromax-Q380 stock rom lollipop
MOD EDIT: REMOVED
Note: turn off your phone (if there is already a bootloop, try reboot to stock recovery by pressing both volume up and power button, then press power down option to turn off your phone)
1)First extract and install Driver Auto Installer v5.145 in windows
2)now extract and run as administrator sp flash tool or flash tool.exe
3)click scatter file loading and select MT6582_Android_scatter.txt (note: the scatter file can be found by extracting 'Micromax-Q380 stock rom lollipop.rar' in a separate folder)
4)choose options click usb radio button, select high speed, select DA download all with checksum
5)from dropdown list select download only option in main window
6)make sure you already turn off your phone
7)click download button and immediately connect usb cable
8)first pink,red color apperars,then yellow progress bar and then green circle to finish the flash download
you are now safe to disconnect and turn on your phone
9)first boots take a longer time
10)after completing go to settings and do a factory data reset which makes phones faster or it becomes normal

bro do a factory reset bro if you not yet rooted, if you rooted do data wipe through TWRP recovery

im not able to do that becoz of the error 1012 plzzz help..ihave not rooted or installed any custom rom..plzz help..or please post a video or give a solution to this..thanku..

Need ur help regarding permanency of my IMEI.
Also, I googled fr that and found a method but Android CDC Driver is unable to install in my Comp. (WIN7).

i tried to install stock rom on my softbricked micromax canvas spark.but its not working.i think those drivers are not working on my device with windows 8.1.coz i think you posted drivers fors windows7,xp and 8.when i tried to install those drivers some errors occured and while trying to flash there is no responce and it is not showing any speed detais..plz help me resolve the issue and post drivers for win8.1.
