[ROM-PORT][Apr,9]Miui-v4 Huawei u8160/Vodafone Smart 858

TESTERS NEEDED
In order to port it, i may need some of the U8160 characteristics. (CPU speed, RAM, internal memory). Anybody who knows?
This is a port of Miui:v4 from xperia mini based on CM9.
TEST FOR MY FIRST TRY ENDED. RESULT: BLUE SCREEN.
TEST FOR TRY 2 ENDED. RESULT: THE SAME BLUE SCEEN.
So, seems that the interface is faulty. Gonna work on ICS, but I have to finish my stable rom first.

Well, I can't tell you what the problem is bcoz i don't own an U8160. So, could you take a photo (with a camera, etc)?

I'm trying to install the cm9 of psyke and after to install your rom.
I tell you if there are other problems it doesn
the smartphone give a blue screen after the installation.
I installed it in the cwm from your cm7, and it didn't work

i really don't know what the matter is. Firstly, I want to know if you full wiped. Secondly, it must be because of the size of the file. Any ideas how to make it smaller?

I wiped dalvik, data and cache.

1. This port is not working. If you refer to my other rom (the stable one), it is for everyday use.
2. No, you cannot. You need a dual-core processor for the game and I am afraid U8160 doesn't have one.

Not right: i have a galaxy tab wich has a single-core processor, and the game works fine
I want to port chainfire 3d on the vodafone 858 to play.
The u8160 has an armv6 processor, and gta 3 works also on this

I have HTC Desire and the game does not work.
Chainfire is available on market to buy. (no piracy please)

I tried the new rom (install + full wipe), but Blue Screen appeared again for more than 5 mins :-(

[KERNEL][GT-P51XX][4.0.4] blamesamsung kernel for stock samsung roms [FAST | NO LAGS]

This kernel is based on official samsung kernel sources with pvr drivers from maguro and cifs support to make stock roms less lagging/sucking.
It will fix any lag you're having and highly increase performance in games.
Finally you can enjoy your tablet like it should be since the first day. #blamesamsung
Don't use this kernel on aosp based roms like CyanogenMod!!!
Instructions:
- Download kernel zip
- Copy to sdcard
- Reboot into CWM-Recovery

Have to download adb. I did go through the process again with a factory reset and a cache wipe, same results, i do however hear the start music in the background, but it still just sticks on the galaxy tab 2 screen.

Seems to be fixed. Installed and booted right up. Havent done much with it, but there doesnt seem to be any scroll lag like i was experiencing with stock. Will let you know if i find any other issues.

Yep, flashed my tab back to stock rom. Really a big difference now.
Wonder how samsung can ship such a ****ty and lagging stock rom to customers.
It's a shame.

Same here. With how smooth this kernel is, i dont really see a reason to upgrade to one of the Jellybean roms

Yea, just noticed this issue as well. Bluetooth turns on. Wifi doesnt move

Sorry, samsung has put the kernel modules into the ramdisk and not into /system/lib/modules where they should be. -.-

Have the same issue. If the USB cable is plugged in then it works fine, but once the cable is unplugged, if you lock it then it will reboot.

[Q] boot animtions off center

I see a lot of people are having trouble with their boots animations but I don't see any solutions. maybe I'm just not looking at the right thread? Is there anybody out there who knows how to fix the Off center boot animations

most custom roms have this problem i almost tried all p3100 roms and they are all the same prob.. i didnt find a fix too

The only solution is to use Next kernel.
That's it... There is nothing else...

Same here. I've tried changing build.prop but it makes a mess of things.
(On CM 10.2, GTab 2 7.0 running Golden Kernel)

And go to built.prop in system
modifie it with an app which have root access *i use file manager HD*
U need to change => ro.sf.hwrotation=270 to ro.sf.hwrotation=0

if ur going to flash next kernel version 2.1.2 "leastet version"
you will not need to edit built.prop... just intall stweaks from play store
and go to gpu, and in the last option which have portrait change it to landscap done
btw dont forget to Flash the proprietary-vendor-samsung.zip after flashing next kernel
PS : that will also fix the CRT effect if you are using a rom with this feature !

That worked great with Blackhawk NEXT Kernel (2.1.2). I'm surprised that other kernels, including CM's own, doesn't work with this fix.

I know it's been a minute or two, but I got it working.
I'm up to cm11 and I flashed the Blackhawk Next kernel and now my boot ani is back to normal!!! Yipee!!!! It's been off center for about a year now and it's quite a relief to have it centered again!!! WOOT WOOOOOOOOOT!!!!

Latest 10.2 nightlies as well as latest cm11 builds have already solved that matter.
As of now, boot animation looks ok with no modifications needed...

[Q] s7500 games crashing cm10.1

I recently installed thwisps cm10.1 for galaxy ace plus.
Everything is working fine except for games.
When I start a game I downloaded from the play store, the game shows a black screen and after a few seconds it crashes to my home screen. This is my only problem in this rom, but it's very frustrating.
I tested the games Hill Climb Racing and Raft Pirates.
They both crash on startup, they did work before I installed this rom.
Raft Pirates crashed after login, and since I logged in every startup.
Does someone know a fix? Or a setting I need to change?

thats a known bug
still no solution for that as thewhisp is not releasing the latest builds for our device
when we get latest build this problem will be solved

CM11 Galaxy Tab 2 P3110 Problems

Hello everyone, I've installed CM11 here with pico gapps, The CM 11 is latest version Nightly. The rom boot and everythings works, but when I try to use some apps, for example: Aida 64,Auditor Kernel, OpenGL Extension Viewr, CPU Z, Task Manager. The Tab 2 anormaly restart, I can't open any app that, the Tab 2 always restart. Have any solution for that ? Or I will need to change for another ROM based on KitKat ?

No, aida 64 just show all the information of your device..... without root, CPU-Z too
Task manager from ohmi software, when I open it the device restart....
all apps show any information about android + hardware, the device restart :/

Another problem I've found is When I flash blackhawk, dhollmen or any stock kernel form CM11, I get problem everytime ''OS upgrading'' when I reboot, all builds CM11.
I hope it can be fixed on future , thanks Sir for your great work here

Custom kernel don't work fine after latest updates, to much stuff changed. Get rid of it.
About the reboot: you switched to ART?

No, I didn't switched to ART, only Dalvik.
The CM11 from month 7, don't have the problem with apps show informativo or manager Kernel, the problem begin o latest version on Nightly version.
I test your rom Omni, is very good, don't have any problems here, but I would like to flash custom Kernel or if this possible, I will appreciate if you put Kernel OC on your AOSP. Thanks sir

Sir you is the expert with galaxy tab 2, I try to run vainglory and the game of thrones on galaxy tab 2, the vainglory don't enter on game and the game of thrones shows black screen (you can just hear the voices). You know why cause this problem ? I try to see GPU OpenGL library from Razr i XT890, is the same of tab 2 (SGX540) and it have more extension OpenGL and opens the game of thrones with the graphics, vainglory don't open, because it not compatible with X86.
Have any method to you add latest driver or port the library ?

Sir, I found the problem with "os upgrading" on CM11. The gapps from opensourcegapps, is not recomend to download it and flash.... I found the gapps perfect for CM11, I Will upload here. The problem is the gapps to make this issue. I found on your builds, CM11 SNAPSHOTT with slimkat (your build), the rom is very amazing, no problems here, everythings works very nice. Thanks sir

Why wasting your time and the dev's. You have cm13 is very stable you can run multiple apps without any lag or freezing or sudden reboots. I'm using it since a week now without any problem at all everything works perfectly and smoothly no need at all for overclocking
