So after almost a month of search and infinite closed threads, I finally found the ROM for my Miro that is truelly amazing and stock based (since I can't unlock my bootloader). I used the instructions posted on http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2250350
Now the problem: I can't log in into my google account nor can I make a new one. It just says: "Can't establish reliable connection to server. This could be a temporary problem or your Android device may not be provisioned for data services. If it continues, call Customer Care." Any ideas
Edit: I finally managed to sign in into my account but it's force closing now...this is really starting to get on my last nerve!

After Hard Resetting my Motorola Atrix 2, when i tried to connect to google account, I am getting an error message saying - Can't establish a reliable data connection.....
Below is the whole description of the problem....
4 days ago I updated my Motorola Atrix 2 with the Update. The Update downloads successfully but after rebooting I got a message saying "Update Failed".
I tried updating again but received the same error.
And 2 days after this updation process I noticed that I am unable to sign into my Google Account. None of the Google Application was opened. All I see the Window with Loading Symbol and nothing else. Neither Android Market, Nor Gmail or Youtube works. All stopped working at once.
I than searched the Internet and find some solutions saying that you need to hard reset your phone.
I did that also, I used both the method for hard resettig, i.e. 3 button method as well as Factory Reset option, but it didn't solve my problem at all.
In fact now at starting of the phone when i tried to connect to my google account, an error comes saying - " Can't Establish a Reliable Data Connection "
I had searched your forums also and find a similar thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=780545
But trying all the method given in this thread I am still unable to connect to my google account.
Kindly Help me......... Thanx in Advance
Go to Settings -> About Phone and see, are you on 2.3.5 or 2.3.6?
If you're on 2.3.5 then you can manually update through Recovery. If you're on 2.3.6 then you might want to try flashing the fxz and then manually updating through Recovery.
You might double check your apns, Might try pulling your sim and battery for about 10 or 15 min to clear your location, you should register and connect to the nearest tower after boot up. I had that issue once and it was actually the market causing the problem. Make sure it's up to date and all good.

I am still on 2.3.5........ How can I manually update through Recovery and does Manually updating will solve my problem.....???????
Still no solution
I tried many options but none of them seems working for connecting to my google account.
Than I removed My Memory Card and SIM from the mobile and connect through WiFi and I am able to connect to my google account.
The Market, Gmail, Youtube... everything starts working..
But as soon as Placed my SIM back and tried to connect through Edge/3G network i am still getting the same error and market and all other google apps just showing Loading....... even though with the same settings Internet on my device works perfectly fine.... Browser is opening all the sites pretty cool. But I am stick on the Default Google Apps that come preinstalled in the Android.
Plzzzzzz Help me guyzzzzzzz...................
Alright... I'm not quite sure what is causing your problem but I can bet that flashing the fxz will solve your problems.
There is a stickied thread in this section that has all you need to know about flashing an fxz, and more.

Ok i'll try that too and let u know whether it helps or not.
Having my finger crossed.. hope it works
Which service provider are you using? If you're not using AT&T I imagine you have the phone unlocked.. Could something wrong have happened with the unlock?
Does unlocking stay with the phone even after a fastboot flash?

Yuppp....... u r right.... I have an unlocked Atrix 2...
I am an Indian and I uses Vodafone Sim here.
And yes even after Fastboot Flash, it is still unlocked.
I was also worried when i was going to do a fastboot flash about unlocking issue.
But than i took the risk by my own and atleast after fastbooting it didn't get locked back to at&t.....
But no help regarding my issue of unable to connect to google account.
Though it works very much fine in WiFi but through SIM I am unable to do anything on google apps.
I had changed and tried the several APN's but none of them helping me...
Neither all other methods, such as Factory resetting, Youtube trick, etc , dont help me at all...
Still m searching for the solutions

Try another SIM card from your provider. This phone does have issues with SIM cards and weird things like that.

Flashing the fxz will not fix your issue, I promise. And I am not sure running SC v5 is the best option since you are having some issues. SC v5 is great, but it has some GPS issues, and a couple of other things. Since you are having this issue ONLY while using the cell singal, that should tell you that the issue lies on that part of the signal, and should be a very good lead in fixing it. I would talk with your phone provider.
Do a search on this forum for issues with atrix2 and SIM cards, this seems to fit the same bill we have been seeing over and over with phones that are not on a "true" HSPA+ "4G" style SIM card, there are even some people that had 2 of the same exact cards where one worked and the other did not. I would post a few links in here, but there are just too many to even give you a good few, to look at.
Jim
I have the same problem here.
Because sc v5.2 had a gps issue,then i go to bootstrap,wipe cache partition and wipe factory then restore 2.3.6 deodex and rebooted.
And now i can't connect to my google account.
Tomorrow i will try to restore sc v5 again and wish it will solve the problem.
Update: Restore sc v5 and now i'm able to connect to google account,but now i got fc.

Problem Solved
After so many hard reset, at last I am able to connect to my Google Account.
The most interesting fact is that problem is with the SIM's APN only.
Here in India, Vodafone provides two APN, one is "WWW" and other is "portalnmms".
I had tried both one by one but that didn't seem to work, than i found a thread on internet saying that add both the APN in a single APN, i.e., "WWW" in the APN field and "portalnmms" in the server field and change "Authentication Type" to "PAP" and leaving all other fields to default.
I did this and as soon as i saved these settings, everything starts working.
I am more than happy....
I had this error before but the thing I did to fix it isint working now. I had to clear the proxy IP address before ans that worked but I can't find how to do it since the interface of ics is different so the instructions on how to do it don't work. Pls help. I havent been able to download or update any apps for 2 days now. Usually this problem passes in 24 hours.

How do you go about deleting your account? Do you completely delete the gmail account or just the play application?

By deleting your account from the play store, you have to go to menu-settings-apps-all apps-play store
There just clear the data and reboot the phone. When the phone comes back up, sign into your account again.
On a separate note, please take a look at "your devices" in the google play and music. If you have too many devices in each app, the app will prevent any syncing and hang. This happens when you flash multiple roms and the build.props make the phone different in some way, and in turn, make you have different devices listed in your settings. Just a fyi.
Okay that worked I believe. Thanks so much.
if rooted & getting (491) error nothing will install
Press vol(down)+Pwr+home buttons same time time and rooted menu 1st option will be reboot. This will fix error (491) and now you will be able to install without ERROR 491. Worked for me Samsung Galaxy S3.

Hi, does not work, because the problem is repeated after a few days. And I used this procedure for a while. I mention I have Note 2 (rooted) and the problem persists. And believe me it's annoying to delete your account every time the error occurred, then restart the phone, to sync your account again and so on. There must be another solution that will not put you to restart the phone every time.
error 491 cant download
I just had this issue. What i did to correct it was go into titanium backup found my original download app and restored it from a previous backup. Work perfect and no more error 491 when trying to download.
no luck
I've taken each step listed in this thread to no avail.. (I'm on a galaxy s3 rooted) at a loss still having this error code :crying:
fixed?

This could be a temporary problem or your android device may not be provisioned for data services. if it continues, call customer care."
- wifi connected, yes
- data connection available, yes
- i tried making a new google account, i get the same message

Q&A for [ROM][4.3][03.08][Sense 5 && 5.5] Liberty MAX - Innovation is here

USB Tethering
Apparently this post is going to an Q&A thread which is perfect because that's exactly what I was hoping for.
Anyway, been using this ROM for about 4 weeks now and have run into a problem I can't seem to get around. I can WiFi tether as well as Bluetooth tether just fine. Yesterday, however was the first time I attempted to activated USB tethering.
Unfortunately, I couldn't get it to work. It would just get stuck on "Turning on USB tethering"
I've restarted multiple times and have also tried installing different USB drivers for the laptop that I was trying to tether.
Is there anything else I might be missing?
Hello everybody.
ROM worked ideal for now.
And now I have 2 problems with it:
1) Wi-Fi:
- Wi-Fi connection freeze and works again only after reboot;
- if I switch Wi-Fi on/off it doesn't see networks at all before reboot;
- after reboot Wi-Fi works for another couple of minutes and than freeze.
LOG: alogcat.2014-11-02-00-01-07+0200.txt
2) Google Play Services:
- after the last update Google Play services keep crashing all the time with error: "Unfortunately , Google Play services has stopped";
- after the message market doesn't work and icon of account sync showing endlessly;
- wi-fi freeze also after this error message (well, maybe it is not related with wi-fi);

Hello all,
I am on HBoot 2.15, Baseband 1.13.50.05.31_10.30.50.08U, S-OFF, and SuperCid. After doing all this, I flashed this ROM, (did not make a NAND backup). After I noticed that my mobile data was often really slow and disconnect often. I tried flashing 1.20 radio and that did not help. I wiped, cleared cache and dalvik cache and ran the RUU for my device. Even on stock, my mobile data would still disconnect and be slow. I tried flashing other ROMs, and going back to stock, however it gave me the same result. What should I do?
It might sound strange but it might be an hardware issue. Make sure that the connectors for antennas on the back cover are clean and in good condition and position.

Same issue here. I removed all updates for Google apps and installed a recent gapps zip, but then allmy apps started shutting down.
Is there perhaps an updated kernel?

Updated kernel? The development for this ROM has stopped, bilal_liberty don't even have this phone anymore. There won't be an updated kernel or any update whatsoever, unless somebody else develops it, which is unlikely considering it's Android 4.3
And I don't think that errors with GAPPS are related to kernel. Most probably Google Services or GAPPS package related but not kernel

Hi! I've just got this tablet and wanted to install a newer OS. I'm currently on stock 4.2.1 and been reading on this forum for a couple of hours now.
I know I have to start by installing v8 Unlock App but I keep getting "unknown error, may be network connection issue", which I see it's a very common error.
So far I've tried:
Remove Google Account
Factory reset and not setting up a google account (after which I can't navigate to any site because I get SSL error until I update App Store and Chrome, and that requires putting in my google account)
Fastboot and flashing stock firm (WW one, downloaded from Asus)
Register my tablet under My Products
Sent an email to Asus Support (Waiting on a response)
Manually setting Date and Time
Is there anything else I can try? I've read I could do a downgrade to 4.1 and try to unlock with v7. Is this recommended? Could someone point me to a tutorial for doing this?
Thanks!
