Introducing Kakudo Lite an app for faster app switching and multitasking.
WHAT IT DOES:
Kakudo allows users to switch between apps faster by just swiping. Swiping from the left or right sides of their devices opens the most recent open apps. If you want to copy text from a website to paste in a document, Kakudo makes it easier and faster to switch back and forth between your apps. Swiping up from the bottom and adding your most used apps to the Favorite Apps Drawer allows you to open your favorite apps without having to navigate back to the homescreen to do so. Adding toggles to the Favorite Apps Drawer allows you to turn them on without having to leave the app your currently in or to just check to see if the toggle is on/off since Kakudo's toggles show whether they are on/off.
Kakudo is also ergonomically designed to make it easier to use on larger screens. It's easier for your thumb to reach down when holding your device in the middle instead of up.
FEATURES:
- Swipe from the left or right to cycle through recent apps
- Swipe from the bottom to open your Favorite Apps Drawer
- Add your most used apps/toggles to the Favorite Apps Drawer (Limited to 7)
- Choose to start on boot
- Toggles indicate whether they are on/off
- Drag and Drop to reorder/remove apps and toggles from the Favorite Apps Drawer (Android Honeycomb and Above)
- True Swipe Detection
- Multi-Touch Mode
- Long Swipe or 2 (3 in Multi-Touch Mode) finger Swipe for All Recent Apps Window
- Kill Background Processes from the All Recent Apps Window
- Favorite Apps Drawer ergonomically design for easier use
- Minimal RAM/CPU footprint and closes fully when turned off
- Change sensitivity and size of swipe detection areas
- Adjust Icon size to best suit your preferences
-Languages Supported:
English, Spanish, German, Italian, Russian, Hungarian, Chinese, Portuguese, Polish, Romanian
UPGRADE TO PRO AND UNLOCK:
- Unlimited apps/toggles on Favorite Apps Drawer
- Favorite Apps Drawer on the Right Side
- One-Side Mode
- Change gravity location of side swipe detection areas
- Customize Favorite Apps Drawer Color and Opacity
-Choose from 8 Color Schemes or Create your Own
- Disable Notification Icon
- Additional features to come...
ADDITIONAL INFO:
- Apps may not launch when at the home screen, this is not a problem with Kakudo it is a bug with the Android system
- GPS toggle may not work on all devices (Use GPS Settings instead)
- A Persistent Notification is required by Android to allow Kakudo to stay open
- Killing App Background Processes removes them to free up memory and does NOT close them
- If you can help translate Kakudo to your language please go to https://applokaligo.appspot.com/app/#/projects/1775020

Could you make it vibrate when the app detects my swiping? At the moment I can't tell if the app is lagging or it's not detecting my swipes.
Edit: Early review, I'm mostly just using this app to "return" to my previous app after I respond to a message. It's very nice for that feature. I find the app drawer really hard to use because I have a navigation bar there.

Yes this will be coming in a future update. I only have tablets so it was hard for me to test this feature, but Google has just released an update to Google play that allows developers to upload betas and I have a few people who said they would help test features for me

I understand the difficulty with this but the app drawer swipe detection is just above the nav bar and it shouldn't interfere with the nav bar. It may take a little practice to not hit the nav buttons. Try going to the settings and testing the sensitivity to help with this. I may also include the ability to move the swipe bar so you can place it on any edge.
Thanks for the feedback

Thank you all for your willingness to help me test future updates. I am currently just learning how the new beta/alpha system works on the Play Developers Console, and as soon as I'm done I'll let everyone know how to become a beta tester for my app.
Again thanks for all the support and help.
Quite a useful app but impossible to fully use with pie controls. If only i was using the standard navbar.
EDIT
Turns out i was mistaken. All i needed to do was change my trigger size. Sorry if i gave anybody false impressions!
I ll try it, curiosity is my name..

OK I just finished setting up the beta testing and the beta is now available to download.
To become a beta tester you need to be apart of this Google Group: https://groups.google.com/forum/m/?fromgroups#!forum/kakudo-testers
After asking to join I will have to confirm you as a member which I will try to do as quickly as I can. Once your a member of the group you will see a topic that says Beta Link in the group. Go into that and click the link to get the beta version of the app.
As a beta tester you will have full access to Kakudo and I ask that you help improve my app. To do this you will have to participate in the group letting me know how the app is working. If at anytime someone isn't giving feedback about the app updates, I will email them asking if they still want to be a tester. If I don't receive a response I will remove you from the group and you will lose access to the beta version.
Anyone interested just go to the group link and ask for permission to join the group.
Thanks in advance for everyone willing to help.

Pretty lame guys. I'm willing to help out, test, and provide feedback/logs/etc., but only giving testers access to the lite version is kinda silly imo for two reasons: (1) the only incentive a tester has is pure altruism and early access to new lite features, as such most rational humans will opt to stick with stable lite releases (i.e. you guys get useful information, but what do we get?); and (2) without access to beta pro versions many features will be untested.
I signed up to your group under the screen name "meeeee" feel free to remove me, unless you're gunna reconsider your lite tester policy.

It is the FULL PRO VERSION, as I clearly state multiple times. The code for the 2 apps is exactly the same. There are 2 lines of code that changes between them disabling certain features in the Lite version and in the beta version I use the same code as the pro version. The only cosmetic difference is it still says Kakudo lite which I was going to change in the next beta update.
Clearly you didn't download the app or read the descriptions of the lite and pro version.
As I understand it if I did the beta testing under the pro version it would still require users to pay. This is a brand new feature to the developer console and every developer is still learning how best to use it.
If you still want to be a tester hopefully this clears up any misconception you may of had. If I don't hear from you by tomorrow afternoon I will remove you from the group as per your request.

Pretty slick app, unfortunately I found a way to crash the app on demand, which kind of sucks. I sent logs and detailed information to the developer, hopefully helping to make this app even better.
Hope to give it a shot soon

Great app all it needs is some customization to the task bar
enable/disable app dividers
enable/disable glossy and or gradient overlay (so it wont make things look to flat)
Transparency
Full RGB color
This could turn into its own light weight launcher with benifits of having the fetures it has now. All it needs is a very simple ipadish homescreen (the light weight part is there is no app/widget joor) and then throw in a feture to open preview windows of all apps open and launcher for easy tasking between 2 or more apps.
Just throwing out ideas this could be another project

My bad, I apologize and feel like a bit of an ass. Yeah I did not even try to dl it initially, but I did read the description which is the same as the normal one for the lite version in the playstore and that would lead one to believe it is not a full version. But at any rate I did go back and try to dl the beta, but unfortunately playstore said it is not compatible with my device. Thus I cannot test it and you can remove me to make room for others. Sorry again, I won't wast any more of your time, and gl it seems like a promising app that could out perform its competition.

Thanks for the log and image. I have already fixed the empty app from appearing (I had the code to save part of the remove on top of the code to remove). I am working on moving the settings into an activity instead of a window so hopefully that will fix that problem. The one where I think your getting it to crash on demand (Clicking the app multiple times), however is a bit trickier and has to do with the StandOut library focus listener. I can't seem to find what is causing it to crash.

Thanks for the ideas. There is a slight gradient on the colors that are included with the app (perhaps I should mess around with this some more to make it look better). In the Pro version you can set the fav app drawer to any color and any opacity that you want (although if you choose this there isn't a gradient).
Bought the full version, try swiping up from bottom for app drawer and it force closes the whole entire app altogether. I'll continue testing though.

Guys I am using android phone since 2 years now and in that period I come across some useful apps which help me alot to do multitasking, monitoring the useful things and doing fun with the phone. So I thought that I should some of those apps with you
NOTE :- I am just sharing these apps with u so that you people can use it in more efficient way. I am not taking any credit for it. I have given links of those apps' from where you can actually download those apps and thanks to those developers
1) SWAPPS APP
Ok guys now a days I am using Swapps app which is really light weight app with multitasking capability. Description is as follows.
Swapps![/COLOR] is the altimate tool for multitasking on your android device. With a simple swipe action you can get to any other app you wish.
Swapps! launcher is always there, when you play, read or listen, you can always swipe and switch to another app.
Swapps! Active Panel is devided into 3 spaces:
Starred - Your favorite apps will always be on top for quick access.
Recent Used - the last recent applications that you used for quick switching between tasks.
All Apps - Full app drawer!
Swapps! features:
Swapps! contains full app drawer just like in your home app
'Recently Used' panel contains 5 last apps you opened
'Recently Used' app's background process can be closes by long press on the app
'Starred' panel holds up to 10 of your favorite apps
Swapps! is accessible anytime, regardless of which application is currently running, using a simple swipe!
Notification icon can be disabled or made transparent in the settings screen.
Fully customizable swipe-area (Side, Width, Height)
Doesn't affect battery life!!!
How to use Swapps!:
- Swipe your fingure from the edge of the screen to the middle of the screen
- Choose an app that you'd like to launch
It's as simple as that

This is original link of app All credit goes to its btilliant developers.
This app is available on market also for free

2) COOLTOOL
Many times I feel that I should monitor data traffic so that I can come to knowat which speed I am downloading a file. Otr sometimes I need to monitor freq and ram while using a perticular app so that I can come to know how much ram is used by phone while running that app. So gor such things I always prefer a cool app "COOLTOOL" app
Its description as follows
This utility allows you to monitor a various system info in "always on top" floating window (overlay mode).
Available features:
- CPU Usage meter
- Free RAM meter
- CPU Frequency indicator
- 2g/3g/Wi-Fi Traffic meter
- Battery Level
- Battery Temperature
- Battery Current (mA)
- Wi-Fi Signal Level
- I/O Activity
- Time/Date indicator
- GSM Cell Signal Level (Samsung Galaxy S2 and Galaxy Note are not supported due to firmware bug!)
- Number of fixed GPS satellites
- SD Card free space
- Most resource-intensive processes
- Task Killer
Also there is nice real time graph on background.
Press Show Panel button to enable dashboard. You can drag floating window over the screen or double tap to open settings. See video and screen-shots for details.
This application allows you to:
- Easy diagnostic problem processes that consume resources excessively.
- With Cool Tool you can monitor full-screen applications (games, video players, browsers).
- Monitor your Internet traffic without closing the browser window.
- Make your battery level always visible, with accurate percentage scale.
- Monitor how good your CPU governor switches between CPU frequencies in idle/stresses
Don't forget to try custom themes!
Tips:
Customize the appearance of the panel using color picker dialogs. Also you can adjust transparency and size of the panel in Sliders section.
If you want the panel did not receive touch events, just select the "ICS hack" box. If you Android 4.0 user, you also may want to turn it on. Since in ICS the status bar is drawn on top of all. Even on top of Cool Tool
Tons of gauges could drain your battery very quickly. Uncheck the features that you do not need. Btw, Cool Tool went to sleep and do not draw anything when your display turns off. It is for powersave.
Warning! "Show most resource-intensive process" feature is pretty resource-intensive You should use it only if you really need it.
If you want to hide Cool Tool panel in specific app, just select that app in Black List tab.

This app is totally free on market I always set it on status bar.
3) KeepScreen
Like me many of you must have experiened screen off problem while watching youtube video. Due to screen off buffering stops (google developers should remove this bug) which is really annoying. So I thought there should be an app which should control or keep our screen on so that watching youtube video without any interrupt will be fine. After trying lot of apps I found a free and reliable app on market "KeepScreen" which really do a remarkable job.
You can specifically choose any apps for which only you want screen on when it gets launched. This acts like a background service so a very negligible ram is taken by it. Here is playstore link
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tni.KeepScreenLite&hl=en
4) MultiTasking Lite
In every android OS version there is inbuilt task manager which will show u recent apps when you long press home button. But I hate that why it can't show us currently running live apps like how a symbian phone shows...! So I was searching for an app which will act as task killer, which will show me currently running running apps, services etc. And finally a best app I found is MultiTasking lite app. Its UI is as simple as possible.
Also when u will launch it it automatically clears empty processes which eats ur ram and free up some ram for you. So its like a multitasking + ram free maker app
Description of app
Quickly switch between running apps for a list of the currently running tasks.
- The application activate when using double-press on HOME key.
- Long press on the Home(icon) button to terminate all running applications.
# Multitasking Pro (
- Support screen orientation.
- Remove Ads.

IMP TIP
I am giving you some important setting tips which will help you to setup app in more efficient way.
-Open settings
-In default home application set ur launcher that you are using it.
-Go to activation key. And choose home key single press.
-Click Enable additionql feature
-Startup tab -> running
-Trnsition animation -> set whatever u like.
-Click hide services.
-Click hide services.
-Click empty processes remove.
-Click use tab interface.
-Click memory usage.
-Click use bottom button.
-Click popup animation.
-Window position - center
This app works really very well. If u want to remove annoying ad while using app then use any ad remover app. I mainly prefer Adaway app
Playstore Link :
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tkdtnek23.app.multitaskinglite&hl=en
5) Greenify
I know that whenever we dont want any system/user app then we use tit backup to freeze that app so that all activities related to that app get freeze. But some apps like facebook or whatsapp always stay in memory in form of active services which affects our ram and battery alot and this is the main reason why android keep on lagging after use but iphone always remain smoother even after use of lots of apps. Iphone never keeps apps in his memory. It just pause or we can say that hibernate background app temporarily (like our Tit backup app do) to give smoother experience to user. I always wish that android should also use such system. And luckily I got an app which works exactly on this mechanism. Its Greenify
Use this app just to temporarily hibernate some apps which stays in memory un-necessarily. If you want to launch that app then you can easily launch it. Your app will run smoothly without any interruption. After our use is over then app will again hibernate by its own.
Remember hibernation will not work on running app. Hibernation will only happen when app's use is over. So enjoy ur android without worrying of lag

Added greenify app in OP. A must recommanded app for everyone
Emoticons on Android have always been a bit of a weird topic in terms of compatibility. For years now the people of the nomoreboxes group have been trying to solve this by porting over the Japanese fonts with all the emoticons and unicode objects within them to Android, and my aim with this app is to make it very easy to install them and a keyboard to input them
Emoji Installer
What does Emoji Installer do?
- In one tap it installs the font and xml needed for you to be able to see emoji and unicode from iPhone users and others with the font. This is extremely useful if you have friends who have iDevices and send you icons, but you just can't see them!
Features
- Easy, 1 tap installation
- Font supports Android 2.2 and above
- No messing with root file managers or permissions, no need to even download the font file manually
Note: an active internet connection is required at all times to use this app, it's used for downloading the fonts (main font is 13mb, addons are about 1mb each) as well as checking the IAPs
Play Store Description said:
THIS APP DOES NOT GIVE YOU COLOUR EMOTICONS! THAT IS NOT POSSIBLE IN A FONT AND MUST BE IN THE FRAMEWORK OF YOUR DEVICE'S FIRMWARE!
This application installs the font and keyboard required for inputting and viewing emoji on Android. Please read the full description for information on how it works and what are In App Purchases
In the free version of Emoji Installer, you get the ability to install the font from http://nomoreboxes.ws fully automatically, after pressing the install button.
If you choose, you can buy the in app purchases for the following:
Emoji Keyboard £0.60 (or equivalent)
This installs a keyboard for easily inputting emoticons into any text field, including messages. Message your friends with iPhones and they will be able to see all of what you send
Emoji Keyboard is Android 4.0+. Anything below that will not be able to purchase it or the value pack
More Emoji £0.60 (or equivalent)
This installs an extra emoji font, from Android 4.2 with a few tweaks, which allows for more emoticons to be viewed and for some to be Android themed, including almost all of the faces to be cute "Andy" the Android robot icons
Value Pack £1.00 (or equivalent)
This is both of the options in one, saving almost 20% from buying them separately.
As the Emoji Keyboard is Android 4.0+, anything below that will not be able to purchase this item
Want to see those emoticons and unicode icons but end up with boxes or blank spaces? This app is for you! It installs the font required for Android to be able to see emoticons and unicode items on apps such as the following:
Messaging (SMS and MMS from even the iPhone and other devices)
Palringo (Including almost all of the unicode items and iOS users' emoticons)
WhatsApp
Kik
Facebook
Twitter
Google+
Any other apps that use emoticons and unicode, even those from iOS users
Supports iOS smiileys from iOS 5 and 6 also!
Disclaimer: if you encounter any bugs with the font, that is out of my control, as this app only installs them. However, if you encounter bugs with the installation such as force closes or the app hanging, please e-mail me using the contact details below, I will try to help

Please look at the app, it is not paid. I have talked about this with other RCs and you are allowed to post it as it's free with IAPs
Also, display of emojis is NOT built into stock Android, you only get a very small amount. Go onto a service like Palringo and you will find there's loads you cannot see.
Please read and use common sense before accusing me of things

In android 4.2 and 4.1 there is a font included called "AndroidEmoji", which displays some but not others, the font this installs displays almost all of the others.
Also, I'm talking of AOSP here, not any OEM build, which may or may not have a custom TTF.
I've been looking though this stuff, and I know for sure that this is the case, otherwise why would a free app be needed to do nothing?

There are LOADS of free apps on the Play Store that do the same stuff as stock Android. SMS apps, email apps, calendar apps, dialer apps, etc etc.
Oh well, good luck with the app, mate!

Please read it again, this app is not a custom app for anything a stock device does, it installs a font on your device that allows you to see almost all emoji everywhere, which by default even 4.1 and 4.2 don't do

I've just made a few server sided changes to fix a bug that meant on some devices the keyboard is not activated by default after installation. If anyone has issues with this after now (after installing again), please contact me
Seems you can't activate a keyboard with code, expect an update very soon which allows you to activate it manually shortcutted from the app, but for now, go to Settings > Language & Input and tick the iWnn box, accepting the box
Just pushed another update (sorry for so many!)
Minor UI fixes
I also fixed the bug I mentioned above before
Just submitted a new version to the Play Store:
2.0 (24/5/13)
Brand new download UI
- Gives you the status of the download
- Much more reliable
- Should fix bugs on the HTC one where it jumps all downloads
- Added an automatic reboot and helpful activation of the keyboard after the reboot
Fixed bug where it would download the wrong extra on some devices
Fixed a couple of UI bugs/typos

Hi
Is this using unicode (new) Emoji compatible with IOS5+ Windows Phone 8 & Jellybean or softbank (old) Emoji compatible with IOS4- and not a lot else? Cheers!
edit: looks like softbank, or at least the free bit is anyway.
So basically this replaces the emoji font for yours (wich i assume has more emojis).
I'm running Android 4.1.1, wich has smaller emojis (bigger ones where introduced in 4.1.2 update). Probably what they did was update the emoji font right? Is it possible you can do this with your app?
I'm testing your app and i see the small emojis i want the bigger version

The main font supports all emojis but a few, including those sent by iOS people, so I assume it uses the new stuff

Hi,
I've had this reported a few times and I think it's down to one of a few issues:
- My server wouldn't let that file be downloaded
- Your internet connection broke just as it was downloading it
- Some other issue caused a break and it crashed because of it

Upon the time a long ago
I had iPhone - of number four
A great device - you might have said,
But only anger mine was great.
Some toggles, widget, something? Where?
No, no, my boy, I'll be sincere
You don't need those, my boy, nowhere.
But then one thing suprised my mind
The music controls - little diamond!
And shortly after I've been hit
With the idea in forehead
"I'll make those controls, but not here.
Android phone - it will be great!"
So then Eclipse IDE I took
To look like real Java cook.
And then I coded very hard
And then this story calmly start...
CURRENT VERSION: 3.1
You've definetely seen Control Center apps in Google Play. There is no doubt they are handy. Control your music, toggle some Wi-Fi like a boss...and that's from anywhere! Isn't it great?
"YAWN BUT I HAVE STATUSBAR".
Great, my friend, really great answer! But...Statusbar is:
a) On top of your phone, which can be a real pain in the afingers, if you have some modern phone with gargantuan 5inch display.
b) It can be unavailable in some apps.
c) Not every manufacturer puts some neat controls in your statusbar. And not all people love to see notification toggles as a separate notification.
So, if one of those three reasons are about you, then you have to try one of those Control Centers. But there is another problem.
THEY ARE ALL TRYING TO MIMICK iOS!
I mean, seriously?
I've bought my Android Phone because that's ANDROID! I don't want to have app that copies iOS interface!
So...here is where I step in. Or, more correctly, where my app steps in.
Quick Control Panel. It has the same idea as all of those Control Centers, but it's a different story.
I've designed it to be Android way. What does it mean?
Well...here is "what does it mean".
-It's Holo style.
-It's customizability.
-It means everything is working correctly.
What about customizability?
Well...you don't want to see music controls, but you want to see toggles? Fine, just disable music controls.
You want the opposite? Just do it, open the settings and change it.
You want different animation? Go on, select one that's suitable for you.
You want to swipe left to open app? Come on, you can do it.
You want to have your dock with flashy semi-transparent colors? Go on, you can choose your favourite color for everything.
You want to reorder your toggles? That's a piece of cake.
Want to have a brutal rectangle around your toggle icons, or want a clean icon without a border? Do it!
You want custom shortcuts icons? Just go and pick up photo of yourself for your favourite awesome app, because you are using this app, and all the people who use this app are awesome!
What about correct work?
Well, it's easy. If you see something on the screen - then it works.
Music controls? They work, they even show you your music artist and song title! That's because it acts the same as default Android lockscreen.
Want to toggle your Wi-Fi, data, sound mode? Do it!
Want to change brightness? Do it!
And about "control from everywhere". You can swipe to start this app, or you can just call it the same way you call Google Now. This is incredibly convenient when you're playing your favourite game with player on, and your the least favourite song kicks in(we all have the song which we don't really like but somehow keep them in our playlist). What do you do? Close your game, which will most likely result in lost progress? NO! You just open Quick Control Panel like a boss, and switch the song!
So, what are you waiting for? Ah, screenshots! Of course! Here are some:

Still hangs, but I didn't think an app would make it hang at the Samsung logo. I am starting to think it's the ROM not your app. Has anybody else have success running it on 4.3?

I played a bit with this app today and I have to say that it is a very nice. And I only tried the free features . The only thing that makes me not to use this app is the ram consumption, over 100 mb.
OP if you can make it lighter it will be a really great switcher

The RAM consumption is mainly due to thumbnails saved in cache (= smoother app). I'll do my best to lower that number, or maybe add an option to let the user choose between using RAM cache or not?

[APP][4.0+] Fancy Switcher - Your new Task Switcher
Looks pretty good. I'm going to give it a try. Thanks
Hey I tried the free app and I would like to request some things:
1. transparent background like in stock switcher
2. Option to list the apps under each other instead of next to each other (also like in stock
3. Different position of clear and settings button. Like this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
4. Option to disable app drawer icon
5. Notification icon: isn't there a way to just keep the notification and not the icon? The space is very ugly. Swipe home button for example lets you disable the icon and has just a message in the notification bar with no empty gap...
And then I have a question: what is the + symbol standing for when I pull the last app away from the screenside?

Well, thanks for suggestions
1. Planned for next release
2. Why not, I try to develop a different switcher compared to the stock one, but I'll think about it
3. Looks like you really like the stock switcher, don't you ?
4. That's a good request, but not an easy one... I'm definitely going to look into it
5. Consider it done for next release
And finally, the plus symbol let the user know he can swipe back to show other apps. Is it too much for you?

Well, I use swipe home button to get into stock switcher, that makes it better and faster than every other switcher out there. But your app look very cool and promising. And, what lacks the stock switcher, it's customisable. Yet it is still simple and elegant.
There are two reasons why I suggested to chance the button positions: first, I think that it would look more symmetric, and second is that they would be easier to reach. Especially on my note 3^^
Oh and I found a bug: when I re-enable the notification icon, the app crashes.
My device is btw SM-N9005 (international note 3 with snapdragon 800) running on android 4.4.2 kitkat samsung firmware (leak), cf-rooted and xposed framework installed.

This is absolutely right.
I think I can make only one simple button where you pointed out (the "close all" button), and leave the settings in the menu key, in a more android-way.
It's the first time I see this bug. It happens every time? I hope I will get a crash report from the Google developer console.

I can try to send a bug report.
Maybe you could do it (again like in stock switcher, lol) that you make a row of three buttons under the the switcher (in the position I pointed at on the screen) : task manager, settings, clear button.
I like it that you always can reach the settings from the switcher itself.
I also like the plus symbol, maybe you could make an option to enable/disable it, and also different themes (like only the plus symbol without the stuff around or the color or something like that) I already guessed that it stands for the gesture, but I wanted to be sure.
And what I really love is the animation of the clear button , it's really cool!

I have two ideas that maybe go too far:
First one: support of xhalofloatingwindow; that could be in different ways
1. Longpress on a thumbnail could open a menu like this:
2. The smart-slider option could open apps in xhalo windows.
The second one is even crazier;
First, take a look at this video:

Now I imagine that when you do the gesture from the smart slider and then drag it up/down it could change between the running (and only the running) apps like in the video;
I made a quick drawing how it could look like (of course not so ugly xD)

Thanks for the awesome app switcher! :good:
I have one thing that bothers me, and prevents me from using it as my default switcher. I wish that when I don't have any apps open it would show an empty switcher. Sometimes it can be hard to differentiate between whats gray and whats not, and I like to have it this way just in case a friend or someone else is using the phone so they can't see my recently "closed" apps. I see from other post that you are working on some upcoming features in new releases , so just wondering if this is something that can be done.
Thanks
But other than that GREAT WORK. KEEP IT UP!!!!
Cool app. I got this basically for the swipe to switch to the previous app function but the RAM usage is too much. Is there a way to maybe have option not to use as a full task switcher but to only be used to switch back to the previous app only.
Nice idea! Well done!
How about other translations? I can do the German one
Decided to go into the 2019 year with a new launcher project. Now what im about to show you and talk about is subject to change. I wanted to show off what I have built so far so I can get real time feedback and release the project with a good reputation right off the bat, i have never done a preview before release so hoping it goes well.
Id like to introduce Symphlyx Launcher. Symphlyx is a launcher i built from the ground up with 3 main focuses. 1st focus was to bring core features from Sapphyx Launcher (The launcher im developing in parallel) to an Android Go like launcher experience, 2nd focus was to build an interface similar to the pixel experience so I built something inspired by Google Chromium Desktop, 3rd focus was to build a launcher that was simple, fast, battery friendly and spec friendly.
I feel like their are way to many pixel launchers releasing and the hype for a new launcher has pretty much died because we know what to expect. The good news is that their is something to look forward to. Its not a normal launcher experience as I want to point out and the goal isn't to maximize the amount of customization (As it is important to have control over certain elements, just don't wanna go hammy time on customization.)
The Homescreen is of 2 elements. A header widget slider and a gesture playground. The header has several static widgets to choose from (toggleable of course) and the ability to set your own on a custom slider. The homescreen is a gesture playground is powered by Android Library Sensey and by default the launcher consumes long press and double tap. Double tap opens the app drawer and long press opens dynamic settings menu.
The app drawer has by default 4 columns (min2, max7, increased on tablets) and supports icon packs, has a searchbar, fastscroll, popup menus and google on hand search and Assistant, also notification indicators.
Popup menu features
-App Info
-Share
-Google Play Link
-Uninstall
-ActionDash Info
-Notification Channel(Naugat 7.1 requirement)
-Shortcuts (Naugat 7.1 requirement)
The goal with the launcher settings is not to require any pauses or restarts of the launcher to change something. The goal is to make everything change as you make adjustments so its snappy and ready to go. No room to create a delay or lag.
Below are some screenshots and a youtube preview of the project in development. Id love to hear back on some feedback. The launcher will be free to download with no paywalls but closed source (as of now). The goal is to have the launcher optimized for Android Go as well which i believe will be a game changer.
