[APP][ROOT][2.2+] Emoji Font & Keyboard Installer - Android Apps and Games

Emoticons on Android have always been a bit of a weird topic in terms of compatibility. For years now the people of the nomoreboxes group have been trying to solve this by porting over the Japanese fonts with all the emoticons and unicode objects within them to Android, and my aim with this app is to make it very easy to install them and a keyboard to input them
Emoji Installer
What does Emoji Installer do?
- In one tap it installs the font and xml needed for you to be able to see emoji and unicode from iPhone users and others with the font. This is extremely useful if you have friends who have iDevices and send you icons, but you just can't see them!
Features
- Easy, 1 tap installation
- Font supports Android 2.2 and above
- No messing with root file managers or permissions, no need to even download the font file manually
Note: an active internet connection is required at all times to use this app, it's used for downloading the fonts (main font is 13mb, addons are about 1mb each) as well as checking the IAPs
Play Store Description said:
THIS APP DOES NOT GIVE YOU COLOUR EMOTICONS! THAT IS NOT POSSIBLE IN A FONT AND MUST BE IN THE FRAMEWORK OF YOUR DEVICE'S FIRMWARE!
This application installs the font and keyboard required for inputting and viewing emoji on Android. Please read the full description for information on how it works and what are In App Purchases
In the free version of Emoji Installer, you get the ability to install the font from http://nomoreboxes.ws fully automatically, after pressing the install button.
If you choose, you can buy the in app purchases for the following:
Emoji Keyboard £0.60 (or equivalent)
This installs a keyboard for easily inputting emoticons into any text field, including messages. Message your friends with iPhones and they will be able to see all of what you send
Emoji Keyboard is Android 4.0+. Anything below that will not be able to purchase it or the value pack
More Emoji £0.60 (or equivalent)
This installs an extra emoji font, from Android 4.2 with a few tweaks, which allows for more emoticons to be viewed and for some to be Android themed, including almost all of the faces to be cute "Andy" the Android robot icons
Value Pack £1.00 (or equivalent)
This is both of the options in one, saving almost 20% from buying them separately.
As the Emoji Keyboard is Android 4.0+, anything below that will not be able to purchase this item
Want to see those emoticons and unicode icons but end up with boxes or blank spaces? This app is for you! It installs the font required for Android to be able to see emoticons and unicode items on apps such as the following:
Messaging (SMS and MMS from even the iPhone and other devices)
Palringo (Including almost all of the unicode items and iOS users' emoticons)
WhatsApp
Kik
Facebook
Twitter
Google+
Any other apps that use emoticons and unicode, even those from iOS users
Supports iOS smiileys from iOS 5 and 6 also!
Disclaimer: if you encounter any bugs with the font, that is out of my control, as this app only installs them. However, if you encounter bugs with the installation such as force closes or the app hanging, please e-mail me using the contact details below, I will try to help

Please look at the app, it is not paid. I have talked about this with other RCs and you are allowed to post it as it's free with IAPs
Also, display of emojis is NOT built into stock Android, you only get a very small amount. Go onto a service like Palringo and you will find there's loads you cannot see.
Please read and use common sense before accusing me of things

In android 4.2 and 4.1 there is a font included called "AndroidEmoji", which displays some but not others, the font this installs displays almost all of the others.
Also, I'm talking of AOSP here, not any OEM build, which may or may not have a custom TTF.
I've been looking though this stuff, and I know for sure that this is the case, otherwise why would a free app be needed to do nothing?

There are LOADS of free apps on the Play Store that do the same stuff as stock Android. SMS apps, email apps, calendar apps, dialer apps, etc etc.
Oh well, good luck with the app, mate!

Please read it again, this app is not a custom app for anything a stock device does, it installs a font on your device that allows you to see almost all emoji everywhere, which by default even 4.1 and 4.2 don't do

I've just made a few server sided changes to fix a bug that meant on some devices the keyboard is not activated by default after installation. If anyone has issues with this after now (after installing again), please contact me
Seems you can't activate a keyboard with code, expect an update very soon which allows you to activate it manually shortcutted from the app, but for now, go to Settings > Language & Input and tick the iWnn box, accepting the box

Just pushed another update (sorry for so many!)
Minor UI fixes
I also fixed the bug I mentioned above before

Just submitted a new version to the Play Store:
2.0 (24/5/13)
Brand new download UI
- Gives you the status of the download
- Much more reliable
- Should fix bugs on the HTC one where it jumps all downloads
- Added an automatic reboot and helpful activation of the keyboard after the reboot
Fixed bug where it would download the wrong extra on some devices
Fixed a couple of UI bugs/typos

Hi
Is this using unicode (new) Emoji compatible with IOS5+ Windows Phone 8 & Jellybean or softbank (old) Emoji compatible with IOS4- and not a lot else? Cheers!
edit: looks like softbank, or at least the free bit is anyway.

So basically this replaces the emoji font for yours (wich i assume has more emojis).
I'm running Android 4.1.1, wich has smaller emojis (bigger ones where introduced in 4.1.2 update). Probably what they did was update the emoji font right? Is it possible you can do this with your app?
I'm testing your app and i see the small emojis i want the bigger version

The main font supports all emojis but a few, including those sent by iOS people, so I assume it uses the new stuff

Hi,
I've had this reported a few times and I think it's down to one of a few issues:
- My server wouldn't let that file be downloaded
- Your internet connection broke just as it was downloading it
- Some other issue caused a break and it crashed because of it

Just pushed an update to the play store:
2.6
New sliding drawer - Accessible by sliding left -> right on the main screen or by tapping the app icon
Includes:
- Information on what everything does
- Feedback button to make it easier for you to give feedback
- Share button
- About section
Holo theming for dialogs coming soon!
Bugfixes
I know the update has more than doubled in size, I will aim to reduce it in the next version!

This is an ongoing developer project to make way for a modification that will entirely transform your device, but retain the aesthetics and the experience of your phone. I know you've seen tablet mode roms before, they change two lines in your build.prop file which you could easily edit yourself in seconds and maybe throw a keyboard in there to make it work better. It's a start, but this ain't enough. This thing has potential, but it is wasted the moment you try to stuff a full blown tablet into your poor phone. Yet we all know our high res phones can very well handle more than silly 1-column layouts. So the magic must be in between somewhere, a place that Google must have overlooked and left blank. Yes, this rom strives to drop your device into tablet mode, but it won't stop there, it will reshape and redefine ICS to make it all a useful addition and not just a cute novelty. we're calling it: Hybrid (or Phablet) Mode, best of both worlds.

Pretty simple really, download and flash
- Full wipe isn't always necessary, but always highly recommended. Don't bother with bug reports until you've full wiped.

Omg lol awesome.
This ROM is amazing - impressive UI.
My quick tinkering with the Paranoid system settings came up with this:
Tablet Mode and Hybrid Mode both ticked.
Framework-res-DPI = custom 175. (Notification appropriate for our display.)
SystemUI DPI = Tablet. (Lock screen resize for our display.)
Again if we could please have an optional flashable for the 3.30 kernel (as it provides better battery then 3.36.)
This is a refreshing change from vanilla cm9.
2 Things I've noticed:
A) Gmail looks great, however trying to Open any email from the Inbox folder gives a 'Gmail has stopped' toast popup. Opening from All Mail folder works. Weird.
B) When phone is locked. If you press back or menu, the front face lights turn on but do not turn off.
We thank you XMC.

Awesome man, you've been all over these ROMs.
What's the reason for the A5 kernel, is something broken in A6? I'm assuming A5 means CM9 Alpha 5, or am I wrong?

I think you swapped your values for framework-res and systemUI. Also, the 175 DPI for system doesn't work if you use the onscreen nav buttons -145 works pretty well. Clock on lockscreen gets cut off in landscape mode when using "tablet" DPI. 150 looks pretty good for the framework setting here.
As an FYI - I was able to boot it using the CM9 A5 kernel because as I was using that already and I'm not S-off, but wifi was borked. Once I flashed in the kernel from this build wifi was working, but I'll have to get back to you as far as battery goes. I got a lot of problems with battery levels on the a5 kernel, especially when rebooting my battery level seemed to be random.
I didn't wipe when I flashed and came from CM9 a5. I noticed a couple of my apps were missing, and when I tried to install from market, I got an error stating "missing shared library". Is this because I didn't wipe? Can anyone confirm if you are able to install Bank of America from market?
The thing I've noticed most about this ROM aside from the awesome UI is BLAZING speed. Market and browser come up and load pages instantly - probably twice if not triple the speed of CM9 A5

Yeah I did mix those up, accident
I don't use the onscreen nav buttons option.
Funny though, cos further testing got me to 145dpi for system also, great minds think alike.
Bug:
I found that an input field does not appear/allow setting individual applications 'custom dpi'.
Other than this I didn't find much wrong with this excellent rom!!!

It looks like the gapps is missing something in this ROM - I looked up the error and saw that people had this problem on other ROMs from time to time. I flashed the latest gapps from CM and found that not only was it resolved, but the apps were already there and didn't need to be reinstalled.
Here are my current settings for the look, feel, and behavior that I like best. I am kanging XMC's "hints" section
- Download and flash latest gapps if you run into library errors on any of your apps
- Set the font size to "Normal"
- Go into the Apex settings > dock settings, hold your phone in landscape, change the button quantity to 5, then back to 3. (Buttons shouldn't be crammed together anymore).
- Check "Auto Hide" in Settings, System, Statusbar, to finally get Fullscreen (or Hold power button, and press "Toggle StatusBar"). You can turn auto-hide off afterward, if you want status bar to be always visible.
- Launcher Settings: margins: NONE (If youre using Apex / Nova), show permanent searchbar: YES, Grid: 4x4, resize all widgets: YES, Wallpaper scrolling: On or off, your pref
- Paranoid settings:
- Tablet Mode and Hybrid Mode checked
- System default DPI: tablet
- User Default DPI: phone
- User Default UI: phone
- Framework-res DPI: Custom 150
- SystemUI DPI: Custom 145

I just could not get Apex launcher(and a bunch of user apps that don't seem to be optimized for tablet) to look good with the User UI set to tablet, and I'm never satisfied with the look of anything other than 4 x 4 as the icons and widgets go all wonky. As far as apps other than the launcher, It seems like it might be better to use the tablet UI for user apps to go through and see which ones look good and which don't at first, then set them up individually.
Edit: XMC, I'm convinced that you are either a robot, or you have multiple clones of yourself that all work on various dev projects. This ROM is absolutely the best thing I've seen for our device yet.
When I have everything set to tablet DPI values i cannot make phone calls it says force closed ... any suggestions?
LOVE THE ROM

[ XXLT4 ] Floating MultiWindows: ANY DPI with 4 MultiWindow Layouts

XXLT4 Version: (May or may not work on LT5) Use at your own RISK.
DOWNLOAD - Use this if your system apps are in stock default locations (/system/app folder) and some apps in preload partition. Please check with your ROM dev the location of system apps and rearrange the apps in the zip file to correspond to your ROM.
DOWNLOAD - Use this if all your system apps are in Preload partition.
HOW TO INSTALL?
1. REquirements: ROOTED DEODEX LT4 ROM with busybox (preferably not heavily modified as this mod may pose conflicts with existing features of your ROM, try a stock LT4 Rom like thaidai's to start with to make sure this mod is working and maybe you can try other custom LT4 Roms later). I have not tested this mod with LT5 so use with LT5 at your own risk. Do not flash on ODEX roms whether stock or custom.
2. Use my included app Floating MW Control to explore the features of this mod.
3. Please refer to old post on LSZ below on how to use the bundled apps like swipepad and for tips and important info to remember.
4. Enjoy for at least a week or two before I release the NEXT Floating MultiWindows MOD using the FlashBar as launcher.
NOTE:
* When running Multiwindow Manager app, NEVER ever allow it to patch anything, just choose the "never" option if asked, otherwise you will lose multi-dpi feature.
* Never multiwindow-enable stock Contacts or Dialer app to avoid FC.
* When changing DPI, TW Launcher may FC so it is better to install alternative launcher. You can also easily reset TW Launcher with Floating MW Control app.
Features:
Same as XXLSZ version with:
Phablet UI starting at 230 dpi (for those with poor eyesight)
Skip Track
Lockscreen Torch
Crt-Off Effect (kernel dependent)
Only 3-Way (not 4-Way) Extended Restart Menu (sorry)
Long-press menu to kill apps
Screenshot on Power Menu
Enable/Disable Minimize Button
Ink Effect with app (thanks to mythrandyr)
Center Clock
Lock and Recents button on notification panel
Smooth scroll
Volume step increase
Media scanner fix
USB OTG wakelock fix
Multi-DPI TW Launcher (needs to reset when moving from one DPI to another)
Fixed floating window size of Gallery
Includes Note 8 Browser
Multi-DPI Flashbar
maybe some more...
OLD POST on LSZ version below: Read for reference and some important info:
It seems the tide of JB leaks and official updates has finally subsided. You must have tried every available ROM and every awesome MOD/THEMES out there. Well, Guys and Girls, after three weeks of lonesome use, I want to finally share my ALL NEW Floating MultiWindows MOD - more awesome than the previous versions and for the moment only available for the NOTE N7000. If you used and like my old floating multiwindows mod, I am sure you will love this one.
SO WHAT'S NEW?
a. Floating Multiwindows - ANY DPI even in phone mode
b. 4-Layout MultiWindows to Control Floating Windows
c. Movable, Resizable, Minimizable, Maximizable Floating Windows
d. Switch between Floating and Stock MultiWindows
e. Switch between DPIs with ease - from 320 phone to 240 to 213 phablet and anything in between
f. Specially modded Multi-DPI flashbar that works with MultiWindow Manager app (no need for unlimited multiwindow hack).
g. Choose which apps to enable/disable MultiWindow Support
h. Multi-Instance support for some apps - run the same app multiple times
i. Use ADDON APPS to make your Floating MultiWindow experience more awesome.
ADDON APPS:
1. MultiWindow Switcher (by me)
2. Simple UI Switcher (by me)
3. Swipepad - free app from the Play Store to act as a multiwindow launcher
4. MultiWindow Manager app - free app from the Play Store by my friend bjbinc from the Note10.1 forum : use this to enable/disable multiwindow apps. The Pro Key available from the Play Store allows you to create application and internet shortcuts on the homescreen to launch automatically in window mode and ability to launch apps multiple times.
5. LMT launcher - Thanks to noname81 for permission to include his awesome app for those who may not have heard or used it before. This app gives you PIE Control like Paranoid Android and more advanced features that makes Floating MultiWindow multitasking like a breeze.
6. Xposed Framework Installer - Thanks to rovo89 for permission to include and make freely available this awesome framework.
7. Xposed App Setting module - Thanks to tungstwenty for permission to include and make freely available this incredible app that allows you to set specific DPI/Layouts/Permissions/Fonts for apps the way you want (subject to app compatibility).
8. ADW Launcher - use this or other alternative launchers like APEX, NOVA, etc. as subtitute for TW Launcher if you constantly change DPI. TW Launcher does not like multiple DPI. But if you stick with one DPI then you can use TW Launcher.
* I am sure many of you knows of other great apps that work well with this mod. Please let me know and I will list them in the OP.

Enough of the Intros. Let's get down to the real thing.
REQUIREMENTS: Rooted Deodex XXLSZ ROM (not all XXLSZ ROMs maybe compatible).
WARNING: Make a Nandroid Backup and other backups that you can think of. S-H-I-T happens. It is better to be safe. This may make your phone unstable or the worst case, this may brick your phone. Use it at your own risk. This may also break other mods that you have already installed.
DOWNLOAD and flash thru CWM/TWRP recovery and reboot.
Please read whole OP post for tips and how tos in using this mod. Try to learn and use the ADDON apps mentioned above and included in the flashable zip. .
1. First run MultiWindow Manager app (grant root permission). The app will ask to PATCH the flashbarservice file but don't let it patch the file. Choose the NEVER option. This is because I have specially modded the Flashbarservice file to read the csc file like the NOTE 10.1 and also because the flashbarservice is modded to be multi-dpi. After that, choose which apps you want to enable multiwindow support and reboot. Only apps you enabled with Multiwindow Manager will launch in floating window. Make sure you enable Swipepad as Swipepad needs multiwindow support to lauch apps in window mode.
2. Launch and configure Swipepad. Please learn how to use it. There are Youtube videos available.
3. If you want PIE Control and easy navigation between apps and recent apps, use LMT launcher and please learn to use and configure it.
4. Use MultiWindow Switcher app to switch between Floating and Stock multiwindows.
5. Use Simple UI Switcher to go from one DPI to another. For example, from 320 dpi to 213 dpi.
6. Install Xposed Framework and App Settings Module. Please learn how to use these awesome apps because it makes using other DPIs with ability to retain the app layouts you want. (subject to app support) DOWNLOAD LINK and INFO HERE.
7. As I said, TW Launcher does not like change so use ADW Launcher or other multidpi launchers like NOVA, APEX, etc. as default and just create a custom shortcut for TW Launcher on the homescreen in case you want to use TW Launcher. Personally, I deleted TW Launcher for stability.
SPECIAL Thanks to nanomet for all the help and support. Also Thanks goes to this awesome community and to all those who have come before me like eybee, robbie, ianbbaa, dagr8, the revenge team for seeking to push the limits of what the NOTE1 can do and many others I may not have mentioned. THANKS all.

TROUBLESHOOTING FAQ:
1. Why is the dialer layout messed up or having problems with stock dialer?
- To fix stock dialer layout, don't enable multiwindow support for contacts or dialer as they are not meant to be in multiwindow mode. If you use the dialer in window mode, when making or receiving calls, dialer will FCs. If you want to multiwindow enabled dialer or contacts, use the tablet version dialer and contacts apps from NOTE 10.1.
2. Having trouble using MultiWindow Manager app?
- Make sure when launching the app for the first time, grant supersu permission. Never let it patch any file when the app asks you to. If you still having trouble launching it, uninstall it, then reinstall it again. You can extract the apk file from the flashable file and install it like any other app or you can go to the Play Store and download and install it. It is a free app unless you buy the Pro key which gives you more features.
3. In floating window mode, how do you launch apps if there is no multiwindow bar like in Note 10.1?
- As I said, this is just the first phase of several mods. In the meantime, you can use swipepad as a multiwindow launcher. Or if you buy the pro version of the Multiwindow Manager app, it will allow you to create shortcuts on the homescreen to launch apps automatically in window mode just like using a desktop PC.
4. What is LMT?
- LMT is a gesture controlled launcher that gives you PIE Control for navigation and launching your favourite apps. It is a very advanced app with many options and there are Youtube videos on how to configure and use it. You dont have to use it if you dont want to or can't be bothered to learn how to configure and use it but you are missing something in your floating multiwindow experience.
5. Where is my minimize button?
- If you installed the mod then install another mod on top of it, then there is a chance that you may have overwritten some files necessary for the whole floating multiwindow mod to work as intended. To restore, just flash the mod again.
Now this is what i call full utilization of our resources !!

I guess it is possible for the note2 given the proper patch for your frameworks but I am not sure because I can't test it as I don't have a note2 or know anybody who owns a note2.

Once again, awesome work by xpericale. This is just an observation which may or may not prove useful. I just bought the t-mobile GN2 (for a second time) since it now could upgrade such that multi-view works. For fun, while using the multiview split screen I tried to use "wave launcher" (which has some similarities to SwipePad in that you can launch application from swipe gesture). It turns out, if you open an app like terminal it fills the screen. When you exit the terminal, it puts you back where you were with the split screen. Now if instead you open an app like floating browser or hovernote using wave launcher it works on top of the multiview but is re-sizable so it does not fill the screen. So the multiview can coexist with some floating apps. Another weird thing is that some of the floating apps actually appeared in the multi-view launcher but I didn't put them there!. Indeed, I could launch the floating app from this launcher and still use the multiview feature at the same time. Anyways, I hope this is not too off topic or tangential to the thread. I just just thought it cool if in the future one could simultaneously use multiview feature and something like swipepad or wave launcher to open other apps such that they can appear in floating windows.
I flashed part one and then part two in cwm, rebooted
and
I can confirm it works on SVA UBLS4 v5.1
Big Thanks to xperiacle for this peace of gold :good:
Thank you very much, I love this MOD....
Working fine for me in Barebone XXLSC 213 DPI.... until i made first reboot... later bootloop
Thanks
great work, thanks,
I was on floating multiwindow (oldstyle) with 213dpi. Minimising is fine add, but it is a pity that minimised apps disappear when any app is maximized.
Do you have any solution or tip how to deal with it?
Changing launcher also cause disappearing.
Big advantage is that long press for preview is back.

Introducing Kakudo Lite an app for faster app switching and multitasking.
WHAT IT DOES:
Kakudo allows users to switch between apps faster by just swiping. Swiping from the left or right sides of their devices opens the most recent open apps. If you want to copy text from a website to paste in a document, Kakudo makes it easier and faster to switch back and forth between your apps. Swiping up from the bottom and adding your most used apps to the Favorite Apps Drawer allows you to open your favorite apps without having to navigate back to the homescreen to do so. Adding toggles to the Favorite Apps Drawer allows you to turn them on without having to leave the app your currently in or to just check to see if the toggle is on/off since Kakudo's toggles show whether they are on/off.
Kakudo is also ergonomically designed to make it easier to use on larger screens. It's easier for your thumb to reach down when holding your device in the middle instead of up.
FEATURES:
- Swipe from the left or right to cycle through recent apps
- Swipe from the bottom to open your Favorite Apps Drawer
- Add your most used apps/toggles to the Favorite Apps Drawer (Limited to 7)
- Choose to start on boot
- Toggles indicate whether they are on/off
- Drag and Drop to reorder/remove apps and toggles from the Favorite Apps Drawer (Android Honeycomb and Above)
- True Swipe Detection
- Multi-Touch Mode
- Long Swipe or 2 (3 in Multi-Touch Mode) finger Swipe for All Recent Apps Window
- Kill Background Processes from the All Recent Apps Window
- Favorite Apps Drawer ergonomically design for easier use
- Minimal RAM/CPU footprint and closes fully when turned off
- Change sensitivity and size of swipe detection areas
- Adjust Icon size to best suit your preferences
-Languages Supported:
English, Spanish, German, Italian, Russian, Hungarian, Chinese, Portuguese, Polish, Romanian
UPGRADE TO PRO AND UNLOCK:
- Unlimited apps/toggles on Favorite Apps Drawer
- Favorite Apps Drawer on the Right Side
- One-Side Mode
- Change gravity location of side swipe detection areas
- Customize Favorite Apps Drawer Color and Opacity
-Choose from 8 Color Schemes or Create your Own
- Disable Notification Icon
- Additional features to come...
ADDITIONAL INFO:
- Apps may not launch when at the home screen, this is not a problem with Kakudo it is a bug with the Android system
- GPS toggle may not work on all devices (Use GPS Settings instead)
- A Persistent Notification is required by Android to allow Kakudo to stay open
- Killing App Background Processes removes them to free up memory and does NOT close them
- If you can help translate Kakudo to your language please go to https://applokaligo.appspot.com/app/#/projects/1775020

Could you make it vibrate when the app detects my swiping? At the moment I can't tell if the app is lagging or it's not detecting my swipes.
Edit: Early review, I'm mostly just using this app to "return" to my previous app after I respond to a message. It's very nice for that feature. I find the app drawer really hard to use because I have a navigation bar there.

Yes this will be coming in a future update. I only have tablets so it was hard for me to test this feature, but Google has just released an update to Google play that allows developers to upload betas and I have a few people who said they would help test features for me

I understand the difficulty with this but the app drawer swipe detection is just above the nav bar and it shouldn't interfere with the nav bar. It may take a little practice to not hit the nav buttons. Try going to the settings and testing the sensitivity to help with this. I may also include the ability to move the swipe bar so you can place it on any edge.
Thanks for the feedback

Thank you all for your willingness to help me test future updates. I am currently just learning how the new beta/alpha system works on the Play Developers Console, and as soon as I'm done I'll let everyone know how to become a beta tester for my app.
Again thanks for all the support and help.
Quite a useful app but impossible to fully use with pie controls. If only i was using the standard navbar.
EDIT
Turns out i was mistaken. All i needed to do was change my trigger size. Sorry if i gave anybody false impressions!
I ll try it, curiosity is my name..

OK I just finished setting up the beta testing and the beta is now available to download.
To become a beta tester you need to be apart of this Google Group: https://groups.google.com/forum/m/?fromgroups#!forum/kakudo-testers
After asking to join I will have to confirm you as a member which I will try to do as quickly as I can. Once your a member of the group you will see a topic that says Beta Link in the group. Go into that and click the link to get the beta version of the app.
As a beta tester you will have full access to Kakudo and I ask that you help improve my app. To do this you will have to participate in the group letting me know how the app is working. If at anytime someone isn't giving feedback about the app updates, I will email them asking if they still want to be a tester. If I don't receive a response I will remove you from the group and you will lose access to the beta version.
Anyone interested just go to the group link and ask for permission to join the group.
Thanks in advance for everyone willing to help.

Pretty lame guys. I'm willing to help out, test, and provide feedback/logs/etc., but only giving testers access to the lite version is kinda silly imo for two reasons: (1) the only incentive a tester has is pure altruism and early access to new lite features, as such most rational humans will opt to stick with stable lite releases (i.e. you guys get useful information, but what do we get?); and (2) without access to beta pro versions many features will be untested.
I signed up to your group under the screen name "meeeee" feel free to remove me, unless you're gunna reconsider your lite tester policy.

It is the FULL PRO VERSION, as I clearly state multiple times. The code for the 2 apps is exactly the same. There are 2 lines of code that changes between them disabling certain features in the Lite version and in the beta version I use the same code as the pro version. The only cosmetic difference is it still says Kakudo lite which I was going to change in the next beta update.
Clearly you didn't download the app or read the descriptions of the lite and pro version.
As I understand it if I did the beta testing under the pro version it would still require users to pay. This is a brand new feature to the developer console and every developer is still learning how best to use it.
If you still want to be a tester hopefully this clears up any misconception you may of had. If I don't hear from you by tomorrow afternoon I will remove you from the group as per your request.

Pretty slick app, unfortunately I found a way to crash the app on demand, which kind of sucks. I sent logs and detailed information to the developer, hopefully helping to make this app even better.
Hope to give it a shot soon

Great app all it needs is some customization to the task bar
enable/disable app dividers
enable/disable glossy and or gradient overlay (so it wont make things look to flat)
Transparency
Full RGB color
This could turn into its own light weight launcher with benifits of having the fetures it has now. All it needs is a very simple ipadish homescreen (the light weight part is there is no app/widget joor) and then throw in a feture to open preview windows of all apps open and launcher for easy tasking between 2 or more apps.
Just throwing out ideas this could be another project

My bad, I apologize and feel like a bit of an ass. Yeah I did not even try to dl it initially, but I did read the description which is the same as the normal one for the lite version in the playstore and that would lead one to believe it is not a full version. But at any rate I did go back and try to dl the beta, but unfortunately playstore said it is not compatible with my device. Thus I cannot test it and you can remove me to make room for others. Sorry again, I won't wast any more of your time, and gl it seems like a promising app that could out perform its competition.

Thanks for the log and image. I have already fixed the empty app from appearing (I had the code to save part of the remove on top of the code to remove). I am working on moving the settings into an activity instead of a window so hopefully that will fix that problem. The one where I think your getting it to crash on demand (Clicking the app multiple times), however is a bit trickier and has to do with the StandOut library focus listener. I can't seem to find what is causing it to crash.

Thanks for the ideas. There is a slight gradient on the colors that are included with the app (perhaps I should mess around with this some more to make it look better). In the Pro version you can set the fav app drawer to any color and any opacity that you want (although if you choose this there isn't a gradient).
Bought the full version, try swiping up from bottom for app drawer and it force closes the whole entire app altogether. I'll continue testing though.

Full disclosure: The app is completely free to download and enjoy for everyone! There are 2 different in-app purchases to expand on the functionality of the app and help me out with future development… If you like the app, feel free to show it and buy the in-app purchases in the settings menu
One last note: while the app isn't open source, I have put a lot of work into open sourcing a lot of the components on my GitHub. I do this because I wanted to give back to all the developers and users out there that gave me so much and dealt with me while I've been learning everything that I have over the past year! If there's ever anything you wonder about in any of my apps, I'm more than happy to give detailed explainations about the thought process behind it and practices I used to implement it, or put up a code sample when applicable. I really just want to help everyone who has development questions so ask away
Some screenshots, cause who doesn't love that?
And just so everyone knows, me and my bro are releasing a new twitter app today as well, dubbed Talon for Twitter that you will all absolutely love I don't think he has an xda thread up yet, but here is his google+ community for more information! I think I only need to say two words to get you to check it out, push notifications Enjoy both apps and let us know what you think!
Looks really nice but none of my existing messages are showing up. Do they need to be imported?

no, it reads everything from the default sms database on your phone. if they show in any other third party apps (sliding messaging, handcent, go sms, chomp, textra, etc) then they will show here.
This app it's amazing, searched a long time for an app like this, it has everything a SMS app needs and it's very handy. Keep up the good work, i will buy pro features for sure!
EDIT: Strange...now seems to work ( it seems was something related to number format for the messages imported ). Nevermind
The only third-party messaging app I'm gonna install. Love the UI :good:
Is this meant as an evolution of Sliding Messaging? Won't the 2 apps kind of step on each other in terms of function?

Thanks. User error on my part, it's all working now. I really do like the look of this app. I've been on Textra for a while, but I'll see how this goes.
Love the UI.
Some suggestions :
- First time I installed the iOS7 Emoji plugin, EvolveSMS crashed when I touched the smiley icon (sent you a report). I relaunched the app, and in the conversation I was, the contact name and number was "0", with no picture displayed.
- The only reason I would not use your app (for now) is the privacy setting : I want to hide only the message, not the contact name.
I'm sure someday I will uninstall my current SMS app for EvolveSMS, and I'm really waiting for this day...
The app is working fine so far though, nothing to report

Love the design and speed, might replace Sliding Messaging on my device. :good:
I have two things with it:
Question:
Is there a faster way to start a new message than sliding out the conversation menu and press the new message button there? For me that's somehow a bit impractical (might be only my opinion)...
Problem:
All my contacts are stored with the international prefix (+43 in my case).
When I try to answer to an existing thread I immediately get a message from my provider saying "message can't be sent to the number..." where I see the number missing the + at the beginning, even though in the conversation list I see the number including the +. When I start a new message to the same contact everything is fine.

hmm strange, I'll have to look at it. thanks for reporting.
I tried it. It is a bit similar to Sliding, will this application disappear for Evolvesms?
The UI is great, the application works well. I'm only waiting for a French translation and some ergonomic improvement. (maybe a setting to start the application on the conversations' list or an easier access to the contacts to write a new conversation without coming back on the menu?)
If you want some help to translate in French, it would be a pleasure. ?

have a dropbox backup scheduler, so it backs up automatically at certain intervals, aka once a day or whatever
I'd like to have the notification icon as a variable to change in the "individual notifications" setting, so for instance one friend's notification icon might be purple and another would be orange... just a suggestion!!

I'm not sure about scheduling and we'll have to see on the individual notifications, not sure how i would want to do that yet, if at all.

[APP][2.3+][ROOT] Toggle Data 5.0 (xda-exclusive free version)

Hi,
I've developed a widget to toggle mobile data on Android 5.0/5.1 (Lollipop), Android 6.0 (Marshmallow), and Android 7.0/7.1 (Nougat). It requires root.
This is an xda-exclusive free version! If you want to support me, please consider getting the paid version on Google Play or check out my other apps.
Please note: Redistribution of this app is not allowed!
New: Support for dual SIM/multi SIM devices on Android 5.1 and later.
Paid version on Google Play (same functionality): https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cygery.toggledata
Device compatibility: second post
Features:
Widget
Locale/Tasker plugin
Shortcut
Custom icon images
Dual SIM/multi SIM support on Android 5.1 and later
Device Support
Device support depends on a variety of factors, including your specific device model, Android version, installed (custom) ROM, used root provider (su binary), and SELinux configuration. This app includes options to deal with different configurations of some of those factors. Please let me know if this app does not work on your device.
Notes
The widget is passive. Thus, it has to request root every time it is refreshed. Although the battery impact is negligible, this usually results in frequent (Toast) messages indicating that the app was granted root rights. Please refer to your superuser management app if you'd like to disable those messages specifically for this app.
This app includes a (static) shortcut and a (dynamic) widget. Usually, both shortcut and widget are shown in the same list which is used to add them to your homescreen although this list is commonly just labeled "Widgets". For reference, the screenshots in this post show the widget. The shortcut looks like the app icon and has rounded corners. Please note: sometimes the widget is not shown immediately after installing this app. This is likely a bug in the launcher/homescreen app. Please reboot your device in that case.
Other issues: When reporting any issues please include the following info in your post: Device, ROM and ROM version, exact version number of this app you use (don't just write "latest"), superuser management app (e.g., SuperSU) and version, content of any shown error messages. Describe in detail what you tried to do, what you expected to happen, and what happened instead. Include screenshots/screencasts where possible and useful to show the issue.
Cheers,
cygery

More than 100 downloads and I've received neither positive nor negative reports.
It'd be great if someone else who tested the widget could post here if it works or not (even if you're using a device listed as compatible).
thanks.

You're welcome
On which device did you test it?
Tasker support please?
I downloaded successfully but am not able to install.
When I'm at the screen that offers 2 options - Cancel or Install - pressing Install does nothing. The Cancel button, however, works.
I'm on official 5.0 Lollipop on Nexus 5 with root achieved via CF Autoroot.

Is the install button disabled? Did you try to manually install other apps? Do you use any app which obscures the screen, e.g., a screen filter? When such apps are used the install button can't be clicked.

Thanks, after you wrote that I figured out which app was causing the problem - it was Lux, a screen-filtering app for brightness control.
I can confirm it works beautifully on Nexus 5 on official Lollipop. Thank you~!
Is it possible to integrate e-robot integration?
It would also be nice to have the ability to choose icon image.

Great!
I'm currently working on a Locale/Tasker compatible plugin. According to the app description of E-Robot it should work there, too.
How would you like to choose images? Currently, I'm using four images for normal/clicking and on/off state which include both the background and the "main" icon. Adding an option to select four such images would be rather easy but you'd have to create all of them, then.
Could this be called and toggled from another application ?
I use widgetsoid which works for me apart from data toggling.
If this could be called once to enable, then again to disable then it could be used within widgsetsoid !

Not yet but using the Locale/Tasker plugin this will be possible.
I'll check about Widgetsoid, it doesn't seem to support Locale compatible plugins but I could add simple shortcuts, too.
Expect an update tomorrow.

Yes, the option to choose our own images would be great.

Yes please. Waiting for that.
As far as I know, Power Toggles is also another app which can enable and disable data.
However, I can't control it with Tasker. Secure Settings app at the moment can't enable & disable data even though it works with Tasker.
If yours could toggle data and also be controlled with Tasker, it'll be great! I want to automatically enable & disable data with Tasker.
I'm on Nexus 5 running Lollipop.
I've uploaded a new version which includes a Locale/Tasker compatible plugin and a shortcut feature. Both features support switch on/switch off/toggle actions for mobile data.
Please note that any application could trigger these actions. Thus, you have to manually enable this "external access" within the app via the new settings Activity.
If you test the new features please give feedback.

Looks to be working fine so far. Tested the new Tasker features.
Great job!
