Carbon Fiber SKIN - Galaxy S 4 Accessories

really nice looking carbon fiber skin for the S4
http://www.bodyguardz.com/armor-car...alaxy-s-4-iv.html?dir=asc&order=sort_priority

Yes it does look awesome, but i don't know. I've had a bad experience applying such "skins" ( mostly screen protectors ) . Someone has to test it

Hi
I have a similar on my S4. Easier to apply than a screen protector. Although the sid sections can be found pain.
-Airax

If you think so..... that's using the 3M DiNoc vinyl, and it's very thick, doesn't bend easily, and those corners will always look terrible if they're pre-cut like that - the correct vinyl to use is the 3M 1080 Carbon Fiber, I've had a lot of good experience with it in the past
Some of my past phones I've free-hand cut using 3M DiNoc:
Captivate in black and white carbon
Atrix 4G in black carbon

this cover is too weak!!

Wow that is a pretty awesome looking sticker case.
Can you still remove the battery cover without running the sticker?

Yes there is a skin on the battery door and a separate skins on the sides. I use the discount code ( rt ) for 5% off everything at stickerboy . Net

That Stickerboy stuff looks nice! I might still go with a case, but get a skin for the front. Unless I opt for a glass protector.

The best way to install the skin is with a hair dryer. You heat up the skin and then you can form it to the bend.

A little expensive for what it is.

I always have troubles with skins

i bought my own 3m vinyl for 4 bucks. Enough to do 4 phones. and wrapped it myself, Edges look much cleaner. the OP is a ripoff.

So what does case fit mean. I'm looking between full body protector which I'm guessing is front and back and then there's another one that says case fit which is slightly more expensive

I've read some stories of the XO Skin uplifting when some users put a case on, so I'm guessing the case fit version is to prevent that.

I guess I would rather be mad that I purchased 3 Full Body N4 sets for $6.00/shipped the pay more than double that for just one.... Hopefully they work okay but I have never really had too much a problem with the Extreme Guards for what they cost and I usually get a great application every time so I will wait it out until we get some REAL good ones coming in... I have never tried XO but I have heard that they are pretty good so def a thumbs up for the coupon code!! :good:
Hey does the full body include a screen protector with it?
http://xoskins.com/cell-phone-skin-...ucts_id=1151:c348c917896634031d2510b5f0c54f8c
Im not gonna lose sleep about paying 9 dollars for a screen protector, who cares xo is where its at you get what you pay for.
Can someone explain me the differences between the 4 options?
http://xoskins.com/cell-phones/google-skin-protectors-cases-shields-guards-armor-screen
As I get it the last 2 (for N4) are only front or back skin, but what are the first ones?
Thanks
Full body = front + back, not sure about sides.
Case fit = slightly smaller on all 4 sides so that certain cases, like TPU cases, don't peel it.
the videos of people taking these things off worries me a little looks like it places alot of pressure onto the device; id be worried id crack the glass pulling it off :S

It doesn't place pressure it's just stickier so it may seem that way.

Does full body mean the screen as well?
1. Full Body Protector is the front and back protectors. The front covers the whole front, including the curved edge - has cutout for the FFC and the sensors. The back covers the whole glass part.
2. Full Body Protector - Case Fit is essentially the same as the full body protector except it is cut smaller to fit with a case. Meaning there are space on the sides
3. Screen Protector is just the front protector, there is no protector for the back.
4. Screen Protector - Case Fit, look at #2 description. It is without the back protector also.
There are no side protectors.. the reason they gave me is that the material Google/LG made for the side is not very adhesive, so the protector will not stick.
Thanks homie ..just ordered one for 6 bucks on amazon too man oh well I'm sure these will be better and u can't beat 12 bucks and lifetime warranty

ArmorSuit white carbon fiber film back protector

It looks nice.
Tip: peel off the camera part and align with cam. Take your time and use your palm to sweep off bubble while peeling up the rest. I am lucky enough to get 100% successful installation.
Note: the material is made by 3M.

I like the Skinomi brand CF (and other faux surface) skins better. I had the Skinomi Black Carbon Fiber skin on my Note I. It looks and fits really good, but it's still fairly slick and doesn't add much grip.
Are there any of those carbon fiber look foils available in Germany? I can't find any.
I wonder if anyone will make differnt backs, the whole thing pops off if u pry it

l 've got it, my review on it is posted as n-abler, easy to install, and pretty good pen feel. I'm using it with a black TPU case (closest we'll probably get to seeing a black note) it's not a bad look minus the cut-out for the buttons, overall a pretty decent buy, I'm happy with it. Non-Glossy replacement back cover?

Hi,
Are there any third party back covers that arent't glossy/shiny as the stock one?
I'm looking for one with a matte finish or just textured. I don't want to use a case, just want to replace the back cover.
Id try ebay. They have tons with different backs **** carbon fiber or aluminum finish etc.

Had the same cover on my S3 for 6 months and was the first thing i ordered when i got the S4 It looks expensive , cant be scratched and protects the camera lens a little bit more than the std back cover causes its a couple of mm thicker.

Damn, can't post the links...
One of them is linked in the thread. It has the glossy plastic frame around it.
The other back cover I found, has a smaller plastic frame.
I've always had luck with these guys: Cellular Nationwide Network. I bought the Black Mist battery cover with black leather insert, and love it.

[SF COATED] SPIGEN SGP Samsung Galaxy S4 Case Protective S View Cover

UPS just dropped this off 5 minutes ago. My first impression is that this is the best case for the gs4 for people who want a cover style case. This is the case that Samsung should have made for the gs4. It definitely mimics the curves of the gs4 very well. It has generous port openings that looks to even fit third party adapters. It also has the it blaster port opening. The headphone opening fits all of my headphones such as the vmoda m100, audeo phonak pfe232 and velodyne vpulse. The hinge is made of plastic but this case definitely feels high quality.

Yes you can fold it back all the way. The screen on the case exposes the camera. If you want the camera totally unblocked, then hold the cover halfway open.

the hinge sticks out just a little bit, so if there are any lose threads in your pocket ,or suit jacket, it will pull at them
I wish they could have made the hinge more flush

Got the black one yesterday and loved the way it looked but shipped it back immediately. I thought "smooth black" would actually feel smooth but instead its kind of rough and almost sticky. Dust and lint immediately stuck to it before I even got the chance to pocket it. The texture was similar to the way the inner casing of otterboxes used to be (after enough complaints about dust and lint sticking to it they finally changed the material to a smoother, more dust free material).
Based on the reviews it seems like that white model is different? If so I may go for that instead. Otherwise the case is pretty slick.

Mine gathers a lil lint but its not nearly as bad as the silicone from otterbox cases or untreated silicone. It wipes off very easily.

I prefer the case having the clip todue to the fact that it keeps the case closed. I dont use my samsung s view case due to the case flapping open.

I have both the spigen sview and the samsung sview with the spigen cover, the samsung and spigen combo Is nice but the case would constantly open in my pocket due to lack of latch and their for was draining my battery, with the spigen sview dont have to worry about it opening and it looks alot nicer and offers more protection, ive had mine since release and it have never once gotten cought on anything

Just noticed you have a screen protector and a flip cover!
Paranoid much?
Seriously man, ditch the screen protector. It takes away from the screen beauty and screws up the tactile smoothness between your finger and screen

[Q] Which strap ?

I have one of the sliver SMW2
I find the sony silver metal bracelet, to me rubbish
does not curl enough around my wrist to be fitted right, and if I take another link out it wont fit over my hand as the release catch only opens half as much as a regular watch strap
I have big hands but small wrists :/
I have this coming

Judging by the looks of that tool I think an old electrical screwdriver I have lying around will suffice. Failing that a paper clip.
Better image, note notched end for pushing back the spring bar

the gap is quite tight, this 1mm think fitted ok, could go a smige thicker, but a 1.5 will stand no chance

Recieved my strap this morning.
Ordered the black one.
The seller messaged me to tell me he was waiting for some material supplies, apologised & offered to refund or provide another half price so I snapped up the half price deal with a red & black strap.
Glad I did, the quality is excellent & the leather looks (and smells) really nice. Stitching is nice & the fit is perfect as when you order he requests the circumference of your wrist so it's a custom fit.
You was right, the strap would not fit with the stock spring bars but luckily the seller provides 2 slightly curved bars with each order which allowed the slightly thicker leather to fit snugly.
I have this nice mid brown Hirsch liberty on mine now
suits it well, back of strap is not the best as where ever it was store before O bought it was warm and dry so I had to give a treatment with dubbin, all good now.
