So there is no way to fix it on trickdroid? I mean it's no big deal to reboot, but it's still kind of annoying

Apologies for the last 2 posts, but the issues are hard to fix (like the sound echo, I'm really not experimenting it), and my abilities are limited, I'm not a professional developer, I'm not even adult, I'm just a student.
I would really appreciate if you guys keep supporting me and give me time to do things.
I'm sorry guys.
Alpha 2 up!
After flashing MIUI v4 I found that the SRS it includes isn't that good and it makes audio less clear.
So I searched for DSPManager in MIUI China, found one for XiaoMi and modified it a bit to let it work on HTC One XL, also translated it into English so you guys can understand
No need to backup: the installation rar will backup for you!
Run this on your computer. THIS IS NOT A FLASHABLE ZIP.
The sound improved a lot after flashing this. DSPManager just rules.
Still needs improvement, this is only Alpha 2.
What this RAR contains:
Beats Audio files (may be a fake one, I'm gonna update it)
DSPManager & related libs
.bat files to guide you throughout the installation.
A Readme that answers all of your questions.
NOTICE: Disable any EQ in MIUI Music Player to make it work in MIUI Music.
Dis-check "Direct Volume Control" in PowerAMP to make it work in PowerAMP.
Known issue(s): "Dynamic Range Compression" in DSP is not working in MIUI Music (Perhaps other players also).
Change log:
Alpha 1
- Initial release.
Alpha 2
- Fixed severe bugs in installer. Installer working properly now!
Works with every version of MIUI v4.
Consider donating me! So I won't give up halfway.

Yes I think so but this audio_effects file is tuned for MIUI.
But I think it's okay to try.
BTW CM doesn't have a DSP???

Sorry, CM does, but I threw it in because i figured somebody else would ask. However, AOKP has nothing for the sound and it has lower audio volumes than other ROMs out there.

vlc I don't know but MIUI Music should work perfectly. Did you switch to headphone mode instead of speaker in DSP?
Works fantastically with the latest build of aokp. Had to modify the script a bit tho to work with adb over wifi since my tethered adb isn't working right now. Thanks for this!

A fully working sense 5.0 port is highly unlikely due to missing drivers and other bits of software that HTC withholds.

Porting Sense on a Galaxy phone was an old dream since Galaxy S1,though none port was 100% working.
If this rom become really daily driver then I will switch from the One to S4 :highfive:
I was trying to do this on the Galaxy S3, but the attempt ended in a failure, i also edited the libs and some framework but the updater-script and boot never worked to bad ;(

Epic indeed. Except for those tiny little niggles all is functioning perfectly
The only good news is that HTC has lowered its system files scripts, M10 pic files are no longer here in Sense 5,it way easier to mod Sense5 widgets for example.
I hope Sammy will implement stereo speakers on Note 3,porting Sense5 on it will be amazing with boomsound

i don't know why we're shouting!!!!!!!
I have the same audio jumping/stuttering as many other people do,using latest purity and code blue kernel,I don't stream music over my Wi-Fi,all my music is in the internal storage(in the code blue thread i saw a guy who said that he solved his problem by keeping 2 cores online when screen is off,as I don't have 10 posts I will post here my question). How do I change "max_screenoff_cores" ? When I go to sys/module/cpuidle/parametres/off ,in the "off" file is just a 0 ,is that cpu0 or another thing,or I am in the wrong place...),I don't want to use synapse, there must be some int.d script to activate something in the sys/ directory.
Try a different kernel and see (one without faux sound)

Increasing the cpu max screen off freq. won't change anything IMO.
At first try a different player (I recommend you NexMusic for testing the sound issues). FYI I noticed audio distortions with PowerAmp when using a big hosts file.
Viper4android installed?

I have viper4android installed with (super audio quality driver),i'm using poweramp and pvstar+,i'm getting audio stuttering with both players,on speaker have the same problem when the screen is turned off... @Primokorn ,I don't know if it will work or it won't i'm just tierd of this problem...and yes I have the same problem with the facory imagine.
Remove viper and use stock kernel and see if the problem persists

Official or unofficial??
Tried it already, it seemed awesome at the beginning, but then I realized that when I was talking I couldn't be heard during a call. So I'm back to stock now. However, that was the only thing that was not working properly. I could actually use as a daily driver since I really liked the hole project! Nice work for start!

Installed today morning and everything was set up nicely. Had some issue with super su not able to update binaries so replaced it with magisk.
The only failure point was bluetooth not working in my car. The phone paired alright but it continued to play music from phone speaker instead of using the car speakers. You might want to check that once. I have shifted to another rom that I had on my dual boot.

Thanks dev! Another thing I'd request you to look at is the sound quality while using headphones. There seems to be a persistent hissing sound/static noise in the background when listening to music on headphones.

I know, this is my first time too. I reinstalled viper4android through magisk and now its working fine. Must be because of some module somewhere.
Should I install firmware as well? I was on a nougat rom earlier and had flashed firmware while installing the rom.
Edit: flashed latest firmware as well. Network drops becoming too frequent especially during calls

Not working on A20e with LOS 17.1 and stock kernel. Do I have to flash a permissive kernel?

Now I can hear games, music and videos clearly as before.
